Lovley little cafe with beautiful views! You had the lush view of the sea as well as sheep on the hills. I had the seasonal pumpkin soup with a baguette which was lovely for a cold day! You could sit outside or inside just give them your table number. Plenty of tables and toilets on site too. I also had a cheeky white hot chocolate and a slice of honey cake(highly recommend). They had lots of food items to select from. Then also had a gift shop which was reasonably priced. And buckets and spades for the kids. Deffo recommend for a pit stop!

Came to Sandymouth beach for a walk with our dog, was greeted by two lovely gentlemen working for the national trust and showed us where to park. We then stopped at the cafe for a quick coffee before our walk, got served quick enough. Ordered an iced coffee and hot latte to takeaway and told to wait by the window for the drinks. Was then brought to the window about 10 mins later but as 2 iced coffees so the girl had to make the hot latte whilst I waited even longer. We then done our walk and stoped by back at the cafe for some lunch and ordered a quorn and chicken wrap, they came out and the girl said that’s the quorn one so I took it and put the chicken one down for my partner. There were made as pinions and not wraps to add. I took a bite out of my wrap to be mortified that it was a bit of chicken in my mouth, not eaten meat in 13 years I was horrified and felt very sick. I went to the girl who gave them to us and told her and she offered me a refund for my wrap immediately but that’s a very bad mistake to make. Imagine if I had a severe allergy, if it was against my religion, anything. Things like this need to be cared about more and have more effort.

We visited just for coffee and cake. This cafe clearly has a loyal customer-base. This is unsurprising since it is located in a fabulous setting. But on the day we visited the organisation seemed poor. It took ages to order and receive our coffees (40+ minutes), even though it was not particularly busy. Waiting staff seemed to find it hard to find the customers to deliver their order. (This happened more than twice in the brief time we were there.) I wonder if some staff needed further training

We recently visited the cafe at Sandy Mouth. The cafe is lovely with a good choice of food, all reasonably priced. We opted for the Scones and they were delicious! Friendly staff, nice seating areas inside and out in a beautiful location. The car park is big and the parking attendants are very helpful and pleasant. Utterly fed up with such people leaving negative comments. I live here and visit daily. The staff, mostly kids or students work tirelessly and can't do enough. They are polite, kind and dedicated. If you turn up too late for breakfast -too bad. If you don't like cafe food try the Dorchester hotel in London. If it's too pricey to eat whilst looking out over the sea, Morrisons might be more your thing. Truth- treat the young folks serving you respectfully and they will be at their best, enjoy an amazing breakfast, or one of the home made soups. The pasties and ice-creams are fab! If the loos or cafe are closed that is because you are too late. By the way the cafe doesn't have any control over how much sand there is, whether the beach is too stoney, access to the beach, or parking prices etc. Enjoy your time in Cornwall. If you just want to complain about everything you can choose to stay home and cook your own food.

I walked to the café for a morning coffee and breakfast, I received a warm welcome by a lovely young girl on the til who provided me with a breakfast menu. I ordered a latte and a bacon bap (with the bacon 'well done'). I sat on table 14 with stunning views over the low tide sandymouth beach and the bird songs in the small valley. In the short wait for my drink (less than 90 seconds!) I noted the wide range of options for lunch on the menu as well as the fresh homemade cakes and hot pastys. The table service was incredibly timely and the girl on the coffee machine made my latte with a perfect mix of a hot and drinkable temperature (and an excellent latte foam art of a swan). The bacon bap arrived shortly after the latte, along with a selection of sauces. It was a generous size and the bacon was cooked exactly as I'd asked for it. - (I gave my compliments to the chef) It was a very enjoyable experience with some very high quality care for their customers, food and general hygiene. There was a calm and friendly atmosphere of walkers, families and surfers alike, all looking for a place to get something to eat or drink. I would definitely recommend this five star café to everyone and shall be coming again!! :)

We decided to visit the cafe having visited the beach, due to the lateness we decided we would go back the following day and have breakfast anyway… we arrived the following day I went inside to order breakfast I must admit I hadn’t really kept track of time but after waiting in line to be served I went to order breakfast but was told they stopped serving breakfast at 11.30 at this point I didn’t realise the time and asked to see the menu to which the person serving just glanced over at the side making contact with what I assume must of been the menu’s I looked over didn’t see the menu so looked back at her to which she glanced again over at the side rather than just saying they are there or handing me one… anyway I saw the menu this time… went outside to our table to say they had stopped serving breakfast and to pick something else… glanced at my phone and it was 11.31 at this point so I must of been attempting to order breakfast at 11.30 went back inside to order and it turns out they do the breakfast sandwiches 🤷🏼♀️ so ordered 2 x sausage and bacon sandwiches and 2 caramel lattes which cost me £21 I’m not sure I was charged right but it was my own fault and I hadn’t took much notice of the pricing and so paid… the food was ok… the coffee was ok… not £21 ok though. It’s in a lovely little area with really nice views. I felt as though I was an inconvenience, the service was poor and overpriced. Our visit was just ok… and unfortunately I wouldn’t visit again for food or coffee.

We had two burgers, a wrap and a few drinks and it came to over £50. We thought we'll its a special treat as we're on holidays and such a beautiful location. But what a rip off! The burgers came on a plate on their own - no chips or side salad - and the meat was so disgustingly cheap we couldn't eat it. It's like something you'd expect on the side of a road not a national trust expensive cafe. Avoid eating here at all costs. Total rip off.

Went to Sandymouth, our local beach for a walk at low tide yesterday afternoon. With the uphill walk from the beach to the car park we decided we needed an ice cream reward. The door to the cafe was open, it was 4.05pm and there was no closed sign showing just a sign on the counter saying “kitchen closed takeaway drinks available “. In fact we had just passed a group of people on the path with drinks and ices and ices. Anyway we went in and choose our ices. The staff were so busy cleaning they didn’t even have the courtesy to advise that they had closed. When my husband did ask for service the young lady said she would be a moment. 5 minutes later we gave up and left. We just felt that even at the end of a long day the staff could have been a lit more courteous . Also 4pm at a beach cafe on a summer day is very early, no time for a cheeky after school treat.

Really delicious coffee - best in the area, and I'm local! - but appalled to find fructose as an added ingredient in the ice cream I bought for my dog. (It's not toxic per se, but dogs do not need added sweeteners in their food and I will not give my dog products which use them.) That went straight in the bin, unopened. So we visited here recently but I have to say it felt quite a pricey lunch. Nearly £50 for 2 sandwiches, 2 burgers and non alcoholic drinks. The burger literally comes out in a takeaway box (which isn't a problem) and while they taste good, the burgers had no sides at all that the menu leads one to believe and would go some way to validate the price. It is such a shame that they capitalise on their location. We won't return I'm sad to say.

But I was rudely approached by a male member of the staff. He very rudely told me there was nothing left but cake, he could of said it in a nicer tone. (because it was late in the afternoon). I would of considered sitting and having a piece of cake, but the man left me upset and angry. He then came over to be and screamed, about how dogs were not allowed! This really left me distraught and disappointed in a cafe I thought I could rely on.This has ruined my experience for ever and I really will never come again. Great to stumble across this cafe whilst walking along the coastal path. Fresh salads / sarnies / yum cakes and afternoon teas - excellent!

We visited twice this last week. Lovely cafe with a lovely view and the food was good if a little expensive for what it was.

Came up to Sandymouth as a change to our local haunts at Milook and Black Rock. Not too busy, reasonable parking charge and of course the tide was out for a walk along the beach. Stopped for drinks and bites before we went and had some superb falafel and excellent coffee. Well priced, promptly served (fresh prepared) and quality stuff. Met some nice visitors too, which was nice!

We stopped here after spending some time on Sandymouth Beach. The cafe has generous menu options and is located at the top of the path that leads directly to the beach. We enjoyed a cream tea and some toasted tea cakes which were delivered promptly. The staff were very busy at the time we visited (there were lots of orders) but most were jolly and accommodating.

We stopped for an ice cream while on the search for our car keys which we lost on the beach!! 🤦🏽♀️ The rum and raisin ice cream was AMAZING and no complaints from the kids and hubby with their choices! The lovely gent who served us got his wife Zara to help us with locating the keys which luckily where found and left at the RLNI across but was closed, she managed to find someone who got the keys So thank you so much for your help lovely people and for the ice creams! 🥰 wishing you all the best x

Been coming here for many years, it is an absolute joy every time we come for a meal. Today me and my mother came for afternoon tea and everything was delicious and delectable, as it always is. The service is absolutely flawless, all the staff are exceptional and extremely welcoming, especially the manager. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a perfect meal out.

Beautiful building. Amanda the barmaid/waitress was very helpful and friendly. My family had the ham egg and chips, which was outstanding. I had fish and chips, the fish was delicious and fresh. The puddings were sinful and beautifully made.

I will start by saying the restaurant did reduce our bill and throw in a few free extras but we were very surprised by the quality and portioning of the food. At the time the cafe was very quiet but the staff seemed a little bit chaotic. Orders not being put through properly, items missed off and not knowing what beer they had available. A couple of us ordered the chicken burger (£13) and my son had the kids version (£8.50) but his came with chips. I was pretty shocked when we both received exactly the same sized portion. A small bun, 1/2 a small chicken fillet and one piece of lettuce, not exactly worth £13. The staff did even comment that they there was an issue but still felt it was fine to serve and just expect people to pay. The pizzas were but ok but again surprised when we we charged £3 for 2-3 sliced olives as an extra. We've eaten at many other places up and down the coast and based on our experience we would not return.
