There seems to be an inability to provide a hot breakfast in this restaurant. The only hot item on our plate was the hash browns , the rest of the meal was luke warm. The prices in this restaurant are not cheap by any stretch of the imagination, and yet they think it’s ok to serve cold meals.

We had the Great British Breakfast what a let down. Could have had better quality and more ample portions at a local truckstop. Prices high to cover the staff sat around and talking.

We decided to have a lunchtime snack while buying plants at the garden centre. The restaurant is large but tucked in the least appealing corner of the garden centre - opposite the paving and concrete slabs. On arrival at the restaurant there is no helpful guide -human or otherwise as to the ordering system. Apparently, you have to hunt for a menu, find a table and then go to a cash till to order -there was no indication of how this worked. We finally made our way to the till and asked for a bacon sandwich or roll. We were told they did not do these so we opted fora tuna baguette, later discovering that they did do bacon paninis - was the woman at he till badly trained or just awkward? The outside eating area is still under construction by the look of it and opposite the paving slabs, it was similar to eating in a builder's yard. The baguette arrived with a dressing of salad and some potato crisps. The bread was limp and like cardboard - it was of the bake your own variety. The coffee was okay. The baguette was nearly £9 - not great value for money for its quality.

We used to come here for Pet's Corner, to get our dog food, but got fed-up with the stupid manager. When we were there, we had a look for a meal at the restaurant, only to be met with a poor choice of usual snacks, at silly prices! What happened to the hot meals at lunch time? We do pay decent money for real food, and don't do "Treats!" We left, still hungry, due to the stupid polices being implemented. We used to be able to have a meal, and take our dogs in this so-called "Dog Friendly PLC", but they forced us to eat out in the freezing cold winter weather, as they removed the indoor tables for dog owners(replaced by product stands!). They had an up-market patisserie which had lovely cakes, although drinks were not that great! As a so-called "Dog-Friendly" Garden Centre , we could not believe the craziness of what we had to do to have some cream cakes & drinks! The first time, we were told to pick-up dog, and carry him across the patisserie floor, to the outside area with table & chairs! The next time, we were stopped, and told that dogs are now banned from the patisserie! I have two fresh cream cakes, at nearly £5.00 each, with most people being tight! We spend big money on food & drink, and don't do "Treats!" Since then, we have not come back, due to not liking "Money Grabbing PLCs", who charge extortionate prices, and yet keep wasting money on changing things about every couple of years! Luckily, We have a great local Italian Restaurant(Ogni Volta) in Burnham-on-Sea which has awesome food, at great prices, and ALL five star rating!!!

This was our first visit since before lockdown in March 2020 and we were very disappointed, the new layout of the store appeared extremely overpowering. We went to the restaurant, this was the reason for our visit, the new menu does not resemble the previous one unfortunately and neither did the food. We looked for a specials board but could not see one so we ordered fish & chips, which we have previously enjoyed, whilst paying for our order I mentioned the specials and no lasagne on the menu and was told it was a summer dish but the cashier couldn’t remember it being available in the 12 months he had worked there. When our meal arrived we found the fish to be tasteless, the batter was thick & stodgy so that the fish was stuck too it and the chips were only half cooked. When we checked the receipt we found that a bottle of Fanta orange was the extortionate price of £2.95. In future we will go to Ollie’s which is next door.

Hard working staff who were pleasant and helpful. However we had no dirty crockery removed even when lunch arrived half an hour after we’d had coffee. The food was very average .. tomato and pepper soup came not with a bread roll but two pieces of toasted/baked French bread which were so hard you could have used them as weapons!! Fish and chips v good arrived after the rest of us had finished our meal. Sandwiches bland anc chewy. However it was a convenient place to meet so it fulfilled its purpose

This garden centre is lovely, they have wonderful product to purchase, and the staff are so nice and helpful and you can take your well behaved dogs, the eateries are welcoming and nice but are pricey for what you get, eat before you go and maybe a coffee when you get there and then you have more money to spend on products

We came here after spending most of the afternoon at Bleadon Mayday Fair. So we were disappointed that two choices of meal my friend wanted were "off". The assistant wasn't very pleasant about it and kept indicating the chalk board where all choices were displayed. Anyway, my friend finally chose sausage, chips and peas which were fairly OK but not what he really wanted. I had a jacket potato with cheese and beans but it was very small and hardly any beans. The salad was mostly rocket which is quite difficult to eat in that proportion and kept spraying everywhere (even on my nice new scarf). The staff seemed very stressed. The vinegar and sauces were all empty! I had to ask specifically for vinegar and just gave up on sauce. Yes, really disappointing! The toilets are nice and clean, though.

Probably the worst experience I have had in a coffee shop. The manager and another employee bellowed at me for moving a tray to another till to the right of the counter I was paying at making me feel very uncomfortable. I was in the way of other paying customers who were having to lean over my tray which had food on and I explained this was the reason I had moved my tray whilst waiting for my coffees to be prepared. Both of them in a very aggressive accusatory manner said you paid through this till so put your tray back. I hadn’t realised I was doing anything wrong and thought I was being helpful and came away feeling quite tearful. This happened on Sunday 14th April. The attitude of staff was absolutely awful and neither deserve to be working in a customer service environment.

We usually eat here when we visit the garden centre, it is consistently good providing as range of dishes to suit all. It can be busy at weekends, so if travelling there then, try to arrive early for lunch.

Very busy café, but incredibly efficient team handling orders so no wait at all really! I had a chicken Sunday roast with extra gravy, they forgot my Yorkshire pudding and I didn't realise that I didn't have one until an hour later lol, oh dear, it's an age thing ha ha! Roast potatoes obviously deep fried, they were rather bland looking and tasting tbh, so oven roasts would have been much nicer as these weren't the best. £11.95 plus a coffee on top, so circa £15 in total. Dinner was nice enough, and the portions are generous also. I would return for the same, but with the Yorkie next time lol, as the service was excellent, very friendly indeed. Sort the roasties out and you're onto a winner! (P.S. I would recommend this place, the deserts looked absolutely gorgeous!)

Awful ! Overpriced ... poor service ! No meals except pastries .... a sausage roll was £6.95 ! I know it's a National Trust and we are members I agree they do a great deal of good. However, with such a prime seaside spot .... loads of families on the beach ...they should offer normal seaside food and priced! We had a coffee and a slice of cake and it came to £20 for 2 of us. Families are struggling at the moment. I can't understand why they don't offer traditional seaside food like a bag of chips, ice creams, lollies, milk shakes etc. They have a prime spot with a captive audience as its the only cafe at Brean down. Felt very dissapointed it could be so much improved !.... prices are Ridiculous !!!!! Service is bad you order then go to another partcto collect , no please or thank you ! I think they love dogs more than people !

Called in on a Wednesday lunchtime as we passed by from Bristol airport on our onwards journey to family. Spotlessly clean, I asked for mayo, the squeezey bottle lid and bottle were spotlessly clean, as was the vinegar lid and bottle, toilets clean and tidy. All staff friendly, nothing was too much trouble - I asked for hot water to top up my pot of tea. We had chicken wraps and skinny fries, chicken was nice and juicy, good value for money. We would definitely go back if we were ever in the area again.
