My friend and I came here this morning, the first time for me. It was a lovely place to come with our babies, and the coffee and brownies were particularly lovely! Staff were friendly. Parking was a bit of a mission as it was busy when I arrived, but I did manage to park at the back of the church. Will definitely visit again!

I came upon this coffee shop unexpectedly and received a lovely warm and friendly welcome from the staff. The setting within a church is unusual and there is a quiet room where you can just sit and chill out. I can highly recommend this coffee shop as a place to get a good cup of coffee in a relaxing atmosphere.

We took our granddaughter here to play and what a lovely play space. We noticed people using the quiet spaces for meditation, prayer and reading quietly. Groups can meet here and everyone is very friendly. They made the most fantastic latte and had alternatives to dairy but BEWARE, the chocolate brownies were honestly the best I have ever tasted. They have one very excellent cake maker and she is a genius of the chocolate brownie!! I will return soon just for them. This is an altogether lovely experience and has lovely friendly staff.

We tried The Sanctuary on a Saturday, its good to see it busy but theres a lot of familys with young children, so less sanctuary and more playwark noisy. The service is friendly - quality good. Lovely home made cakes and well made coffee. Perfect for parents with young ones - they'll have a riot while you get refreshed.

A wonderful place to stop and enjoy a coffee. The staff are friendly and welcoming and there is a good range of drinks and eats. The monthly jazz Saturdays are well worth visiting too.

A new personal favourite for us, especially when in need of indoor play during winter! Lovely relaxed atmosphere with kids toys scattered, tables, chairs and sofas spread around. Lovely informal atmosphere. Great coffee and panini, plus naughty cakes! Perfect for me with my 4 year old and baby.

This place is a real find, it's lovely. Good coffee, good food and very reasonably priced. A lovely building, great for kids to play but a quiet room too if you want some peace. Very friendly staff, just a lovely place to go and visit.

Been here a lot. Beautiful atmosphere. Decor lovely; lovely music and lighting. Food very good and reasonably priced. Lots of child friendly food options too. Tea and coffee high end. Lots of toys and space for children to play. Only slight problem can be the parking- which is limited. Sometimes have to drive round a bit to find a space! But highly recommend for family time!

I absolutely ❤ it here! This has to be on your places to visit with kids list if you wish to take them somewhere for a bite to eat and a play. It's a great use of an old church, the place has plenty of space for children to run around with plenty of toys ranging from baby play mats, toy kitchen, books and ride-ons. It has a laid back and causal feel so you feel at ease with children playing as they wish but by no means is it noisy or riotess. Instead it strikes the perfect balance and seems to allow me as a parent a place to catch up with friends over some food and drink while my daughter happily plays away. I never feel rushed and today we didn't even order until 30mins after we arrived. Today I sampled a panini and I must say it was lovely. The panini was one of the best I've had. Cakes and drinks are always fab too. There is parking at back of church too which is great in a largely permitted area. The only negative I can think is that often there are options unavailable from the menu but usually still enough choice and always plenty of yummy cake. I also love the fact it isn't exclusively used by families too today there were also 2 old ladies enjoying a catch up over a scone. Well done Sanctuary

Beautiful church. Great coffee. We had our daughters birthday here and it fit the requirements perfectly. They laid on some food for the kids, gave us an area to play with the toys they have there.

Had a falafel wrap and like always it is the most amazing falafel in the city! It was very busy due to the closure but it is worth the wait. You can tell they are passionate about what they do and work so hard. Thank you for all the food over the years ❤️ Good luck to your future endeavours

Came here with friends recently for the first time. Staff are very friendly, food and drink taste great and good sized portions, and plenty of great board games on offer. A great experience overall!

Lovely cafe with friendly staff and delicious food and coffee. Seating inside and outside. Breakfast, brunch and lunch with a healthy emphasis and a bit of effort put in to make the dish special. You can also get sausage/bacon rolls and similar if you like. The cakes looked amazing but I was too full up to try one. Really good vegan and gluten-free options.
