Saw this place on Darren Johns YouTube and had to visit. Top rate food and service was outstanding. Ordered full English with bubble and was advised no bubble left - our disappointment was obvious and the lovely lady had a word with the chef who made us some. Best bubble ever! Friendliest service ever, a must do.

I was in the area hoping to know to a different very well known café along the street, but the queue for the other place was very long and I was getting hungry so this cafe was just 10 doors away, it was a great breakfast! Sausage looked strange, but it was tasty. Fried egg with a warm runny yoke, and very tasty bacon. The mug of tea was delicious and hot. Need to mention the very clean toilets, always a great sign.

Although great food, my experience for dinner and lunches has consistently been the same: Lousy service: The waiters chat amongst each other, even if there are hardly any customers...If they could pay more attention to those buying from them the whole experience would be SO much better

Visting from Northern Ireland looking for a nice cafe, we went in and it was close to closing time, the staff were so friendly and gave us a table, our server was so nice, we had the all day fry, it was amazing, included toast tea or coffee. We were rushing as we didn't want to keep them back, the chef said don't worry you take your time. Coffee was amazing. Highly recommended.

Coming back from Colombia Rd and a quick, cheap lunch was needed. I would thoroughly recommend Sam's Cafe since food was prepared exactly as I asked for. My wife said her panini was excellent also. £18 for the two of us with tea and coffee. Excellent value for good food and efficient, polite service.

Reasonable food with a pleasant atmosphere… I think it is overpriced as small coffee with scrambled eggs with bacon bits came to over £ 18.00

No booking that we could see so turned up on a Sunday about 10am. 4-5 staff around but were completely ignored. Eventually caught a server and asked if they had a table for 2, abrupt rude response, Nope. No offer of vacant outdoor table or to give us takeaway. Been wanting to try this for a while but experience didn’t match Instagram image.

Staff are charming but side dishes arriving at different times means main course goes cold. Frozen foil wrapped squares of butter add nothing to the experience. Whole operation needs tighter management front of house and kitchen. Good location quieter than main drag of Regents Park Road or England’s Lane. Not cheap for the food offering, but use decent tea bags. Few tweaks could make massive improvement.

I payed for a breakfast maybe once a week, they always complain about tap water they don't like giving water for customers. They being swearing and shouting at me for no reason at all since. Not great with customers service, avoid this cafe, they are plenty of cafe within walking distance they give me the best customers service and top quality food ever, cheap too and serve good customers service with a smile. I won't be coming back, they are cafes are in bethnal green road there are the following I would recommend Pellicci and cafe 338 London.

Given the competition and abundance of good cafes in the area, I thought Sams would be up there. The coffee was fabulous, food tasted great initially and good portions too. The only reasons I’m marking this down is because the bread was slightly stale, the service was less attentive and halfway through my meal, I found a tiny hair in my food.

I revisited this cafe after being away. The serves are still enormous, prices have gone up ever so slightly, but when the set breakfast includes toast and tea/coffee, they are still very reasonable. Basic cafe food, with the option of a Turkish breakfast, vegetarian and choice of main meals. Burgers, grills, salads, jacket potato and home-made options like moussaka, curry, pies and lasagne. There are a few seats out the front, but its on a busy road, so not the nicest al fresco dining! If you aren't a big eater, or just after a snack, you could share a set breakfast between 2!

After a walk along an increasingly busy Brick Lane on a Sunday morning looking (and failing to find) for somewhere for an early lunch, we wandered along Bethnal Green Road and came across Sam's Café. What a treat! A straightforward, unpretentious eating place where we were made very welcome. There is an extensive menu but we both had a hankering for a cooked breakfast so didn't get much further in the menu than that. M had a sausage, bacon, ham, and mushroom omelette, while I had a mushroom and cheese omelette. The menu said these came with chips or salad, but the waitress/owner also offered hash browns, which I couldn't say no to. We each had a huge orange juice and a coffee (no messing here with the hot drinks: tea 80p coffee £1 - they did stretch to a cappuccino but nothing more swanky than that - how refreshing!)I wish Sam's Café was nearer to where I live - the service was quick and friendly, the food was great, and it was excellent value at £8 each for a huge lunch and two drinks.

Tasty cafe grub, with basic decor. Staff are friendly & the service is quick & efficient. Servings are huge. They offer many breakfast combinations, including a Turkish breakfast & several vegetarian options. Also burgers, fish/chips, grills & home-made meals. Be warned, the coffee is SO hot, I often burn my tongue! Recommended if in the area, & only a short walk from Bricklane.

After visiting Brick Lane we decided to walk along Bethnal Green Road to find a good, clean place to have a meal. The waitress was very welcoming and friendly and showed us a window table to sit at. I ordered egg, chips and a cup of tea and my husband had mushrooms, beans and chips and a glass of water. The portions were large and I wondered if I could get through it. The waitress came over and offered me another cup of tea (not sure if it was a refill as I didn't have to pay for 2 cups). The toilets were upstairs but clean with plenty of toilet rolls, soap and paper towels. I haven't come across such a good eating place for a long time, and as we will be in the area again next week will certainly be going there again. Plain, simple food well cooked. A gem at £6.80
