Sam's in Isle of Wight

The food quality has gotten better over the years.But this vist was very good. The food was tasty and delicious. The staff was helpful. They can be short-staffed at busy times. Furthermore they also take lots of time to get your order ready. However food makes up for it. This place has since branded to Ryde Fried Chicken however the management,staff and food is the same.

Best quality burgers & on the sea front. Very nice portion size, fresh and delicious. This is one of the best burgers in Isle of Wight. Very reasonably priced, Definitely recommended.

Waited an hour for a fillet burger, small chips and 5 nuggets. Rang and was told that the order was just being processed and will be 10-15mins. Cancelled for a refund, utterly **** do not use.

The food is actually OK. Standard chicken shop stuff. The trouble is, if there's more than one person in there, the wheels come off. The staff are just hopeless, and once any food is cooked, they have no idea who ordered what, or any system to negate that. So always check the contents before you leave, because the chances are, they've given you something totally different. And when you point this out, they ask you what you ordered. Well, you served me mate. Also when it's busy, on a Friday or weekends, there's really no point. It's just chaos. People go there cos there's nothing else open that late. Piss ups and breweries spring to mind.

When going into same you are greated by lovely and polite staff who are happy to answer any questions and help with your order the food was very nice the chicken was moist and the rice pot was amazing how ever half an hour after eating me and my partner had started to feel sick this carried on through out the day ending in my partner throwing all her food up we were very upset and will not be comming back !!!

We wanted something quick and easy to eat, so went into Sams chicken in Ryde, Isle of Wight. Ok the fries were freshly cooked, but tasted very bland, but the chicken was disgustingly dry and with also very little flavour. The worst thing was, my wife contracted food poisoning and has suffered badly with this and it has ruined our last two days of our holiday. I only wished we had looked at reviews beforehand, but you don’t. I would avoid this place at all costs and I will be communicating this with the FSA. They should be closed down.

usually love getting fried chicken from here but after yesterday I cant in good consciousness recommend going back. I ordered my typical meal which was a club Max box meal. After consuming, I felt fine for the first few hours and woke up at 5:30 am and was violently sick. Working in this industry I noticed that the chicken wasn’t raw, but I believe that the food preparation handling process was not up to par. This was the only meal I had yesterday so could only be Sam’s Chicken.

Absolutely 0 rating for customer service never trust a word these lot say. Ordered food for delivery was told 1 hour called them back after 1 hour and 10 minutes man says he’s coming next few minutes than they don’t answer the phone. Delivery driver comes after 2 hours with food said to him why it took so long like 2 hours he started laughing it’s an absolute joke of a place. NEVER AGAIN!

We’ve ordered from here twice now whilst on holiday nearby, after a couple of busy tiring days and wanting something quick no easyThe first time we ordered, it was about 45-60 minutes late.The second time, it was right on time, if not a bit early. Both times the food was nice. I’d describe it a bit like KFC but not as greasy, which in my opinion is a good thing. They have a good selection on their menu. We would order from here again and would recommend.

As Muslim family visiting the Isle of Wight for the first time - there wasn’t many halal restaurants. We had seen a sams and decided to go in to enquire if it was halal or not. We went in asked the guy working if it was halal. He said wait - I didn’t think much of it and waited a good five minutes. I was confused at this post as he could’ve just answered as it was a yes/ no question. There were people behind me waiting also. After he had finished he called other people in front of me to serve. I then asked him again if it was halal. He then took me to the side and said check on online. I then asked him again if it’s halal and he said “NO” shouting at me. VERY RUDE STAFF! POTENTIALLY NOT HALAL

total waste of time ordered food 5.10pm told 40 min wait waited 1.5 hours telephoned them to ask where the food was and was told oh we are just getting it ready for you total shambles no apologies or anything wouldnt order anything from them ever again disgraceful service

In my opinion Sams chicken beats all other competitors hands down. One word to describe is " DELICIOUS "

went into the place and ordered Piri Piri chicken for collection in 30 minuet they have to cook this to order. went back only to be told they had completely forgot, no apology nothing just walked out.have had previews takeaways and the are usually poor but cheap

I am unsure if the IOW has a KFC but this is the closest equivalent, the food quality and the customer service is 2nd to none

My kids love stopping of from time to time at Sam's, and the food has always been ok and the service brilliant & friendly. On this occasion I stopped of on my own and the food was, well to be honest, not as good as it usually is. It was lunch time and only a few people seated, and as I ate away it just wasn't great unfortunately. Very well cooked chicken, leaving myself left slightly disappointed. Fingers crossed my next visit to Sam's with the kids, they will be back on top form.

Looks like any other take away from the outside - yet inside stood this helpful and friendly man / owner don't know and wisked me through the menu.

I ordered a takeaway with friends, I was told a 45 minute delivery. . . 90 minutes later it arrived. Some of the chicken was dry, very average. I am unlikely to order a takeaway from here again.

popped in late one evening whilst on holiday during the August bank holiday.The best chicken and fries we have eaten, well cooked portions and great value 10/10

Ok so its not the big KFC franchise anymore, but the staff are nice and polite , the food has always been good , they keep the place nice and clean you really can't go wrong .

Yo he utilizado sams desde que se abrió y nunca he tenido ningún problema, pero últimamente el servicio de atención al cliente y la calidad de la comida ha bajado y el personal no era servicial en todo y parece que han puesto los precios por bastante en las últimas semanas. Debido a los problemas con el personal y la calidad de la comida no nuevo.

I was really surprised and impressed with the quality and flavour of the chicken here - and you can get 2 mini fillet burgers for just £3 - each one is bigger than a mini fillet from KFC and just as tasty.

We went to sams three times in one week as this is our friends (stevie b) favourite place to eat and we went to the island to visit him and his wife. The food was very good and the staff fantastic and friendly. I would recommend it for anyone who wants a family meal without all the frills.

Have had a couple of take aways from here. Service was quick and food was fine. Served by a very pleasant man. Not expensive either.

Good choice of chicken meals. Plenty of seating within the establishment clean area and pleasant and helpful staff. Toilets also clean.

Well visited on a recommendation for a takeaway and I have to say this is probably the best value for money outlets i have ever visited bar none forget your KFC this place can only be described as superb the chicken (I had 6 strip piri piri and chicken rice my wife went for 2 piece fried chicken and fries) all for under a tenner and was just so impressed my piri piri was cooked to order and was cooked in front of me on a contact grill very healthy (5/6 minute wait)trust me its worth it, was perfect and the wife's she informed me was also excellent (all cooked in healthy rapeseed oil ) but the real winner here was the chicken rice £1.99 was wonderful with light fluffy rice with diced cooked chicken and salad stirred through it I know it sounds odd but it is really worth a try a meal in its self absolutely super don't miss out on this one well worth a try.
