There is always a friendly welcome here. The menu is simple but lovely and reflects the ethos of the place. Great emphasis on Fairtrade and local produce. It is a good place to meet up for a drink or a light meal.

We love this cafe, its location and friendly atmosphere. They serve with a smile a jolly good cup of coffee and the food is wonderful and so reasonably priced. Every visit is the same and we really appreciate the volunteers who work tirelessly to offer this facility. Hoorah for Sambells 🙂

Sambells is placed in the foyer of the Truro Methodist Church and offers a good coffee, and a selection of hot and cold drinks. Home-made soup, toasties, any variety of things on toast etc alongside yummy home-made cakes. The food is well prepared, good but basic, Sambells is manned by volunteers but has a paid cafe/kitchen manager. The food is sold at minimal cost as Sambells sees itself as a social outreach to all the communities.

This cafe is at the entrance of Truro Methodist Church ,in the heart of the city . You can be guaranteed to be surrounded by more than a few Methodists .! It is very good value for money ,in fact ,it is very cheap . Serves wholesome food ,not a huge menu but all very tasty and well- prepared . Here there is often a free lunchtime informal concert . There are stalls sometimes in the church which is easily accessed by all ,, especially at main festival times such as Easter and Christmas . Nothing is too much trouble for the ,what I think are volunteer staff . A little Oasis in amongst the busy commercial life of the city . A little tucked away ,but well worth asking directions for and seeking out .

Its the Truro Methodist Church and their very own cafe. Wow the soup all home made and the bread what a treat. Jamie and Rick eat your heart out you will not better it. Its often busy as it has been discovered by those who appreciate its offerings. Dont go expecting a yuppy venue its not its small tables and hard working volunteers. Its a really convenient stop off if shopping in Truro. Value for money excellent. Pushchairs and walking frames all get in sometimes with difficulty but its worth it.

while on hoilday this week in cornwall i visted turo and needed a place for a quite cuppa, i had been told to go sambells in the church to try it out, i did not know what to expect, it was so good the staff are all volunteers and so pleasent, i ask for a jacket spud but the lady said there were none on today however she very kindley offered to do me one, i opted for a toasted cheese sandwich instead it came with side salad, and i had a bottle water and a lovely piece of home made sponge cake, and the price came to aprrx £3.00 It was so nice it is well used the staff cannot do enough for the customers, and every one that was in there all said good morning. I will def. go ther again Also there are first class toilet facilities there. Keep up the good work. Before i go i do belive that the money rasied from the cafe goes to the church fund and different charities. Well Done

Absolutely wonderful visit. The cream tea was the best I think I’ve ever had. Warm scones, huge pot of cream and delicious jam, must be homemade. The tea was piping hot and came with an additional tea bag should you like it strong.

Great place to stop off on our walk. Cakes, drinks and ice cream all good, and with the bonus of sparrows waiting to hop onto your hand.

Absolutely amazing day spent at The Sharksfin for our daughter's wedding last Saturday. Wow! What a venue! From start to finish everything was wonderful. Great service with happy staff who were enjoying looking after us and wanted to make the day special. The canapes were gorgeous and main meal truly excellent. The Chefs worked their socks off. Would highly recommend. Thank you to Lisa and her whole team. You were fantastic! We will be back for a roast very soon 🙂!

Poor service and virtually no vegan/vegetarian options. Asked for a veggie burger which was on the menu, they didn't have any. Asked what else was vegan, they didn't know. Service was very slow and all front of house seemed uninterested and more keen to huddle round the bar chatting. One waitress was particularly rude, I wouldn't go there again and wouldn't recommend. Lots of much friendlier places in Falmouth.
