I came to London with the hope of eating great Pakistani food and was really happy to find this place. So happy, that I returned the next day for seconds. Everything was delicious.

Visited this restaurant with my wife for a late dinner. We ordered the lamb nihari and lamb saag. The food was absolutely amazing, and the owners were very nice and welcoming.

I went there due to the positive reviews, i regret it. Poor service from the older guy, grumpy miserable, but if his friend or a white person came in treated like royalty, cos im asian, indifference. I had the munch box, seems like value for money but meagre portions, the roti was harder then the plate it was served on, I personally wouldn’t go again. Maybe for london and its prices this is good 🤷🏽‍♂️

I was here yesterday. The people were really friendly and kind. I ordered 2 Chickenbirjani a half chicken(grill) and sheekh kebab. The food was really amazing and we really enjoyed it. I usually dont leave reviews, but this one really deserved a 5 star. Keep up te good work!

I have been here a couple of times, this is a cosy little place just edging towards Edgware Road. Lovely staff that makes you feel at home and amazing food. I have tried the lamb Nihari and been a regular at buying their munch box. The Nihari here is insanely authentic to south Asian roots, soupy, spicy with slow cooked tender meat. If you are a Nihari lover, you better not miss this place. Was served by Ehtasham and Aahil. Definitely recommend

Visiting London looking for authentic food and came across this hidden gem. Great service and food. They go to the extent to modify a menu item to specific needs and even prepare any special request. Great prices too.

The butter chicken is so delicious and it's different more towards sweet , mist try .

Wonderful family-run restaurant where you can grab a wide array of authentic dishes to go or sit down for a peaceful and delicious meal. Excellent food with quick service and very kind staff. A bit small if you’ve got a big group but an excellent place for two or three people to sit down in a beautiful setting for a great lunch or dinner.

Great Pakistani food - friendly service. I stopped in for takeout bc it looked so clean. Had a delicious chicken dish, yummy rice and fresh baked naan. Main dish was very flavorful and just right amount of spice. Highly recommended

I visited Salwa London recently and had a very pleasant experience. I had grilled chicken tikka and lamb chops The food was amazing and the customer service was outstanding. The stylish new decor really stands out. By far the best Pakistani food in Central London!

Always have a take away when in London which before Covid was so regular. Superb place . I used to stay at Lancaster or Amba just that I could take a grab from Salwa. Will be back soon from India.

We visited this restaurant whilst we were on Edgware rd and didn’t know where to eat. The food was delicious we had the biryani and the lamb karahi with fresh naan. The food had delicious aroma and was all freshly made. The restaurant itself had very clean service and was very hygienic. The price suits its amazing taste of the food. We will definitely be returning when we next come to Edgware Road.

BAD SERVICE DONT USE IT MORE .......... I just called this restaurant today 1 person received my call i said my name is _____ how are you in a respected way he said i am very busy tell me what you want VERY BADDD SERVICE SO BADD i am from pakistan i was looking for spicy food for my self and my family as well they came from pakistan and i visit a website i spend more then 30 minutes to lookout menu i like menu but SOOOOOO BADDDD SERVICE DONT USE IT PLEASE VERY CHEAP RECEPTIONIST...........

Normal food with high price!!! They don't give you receipt also. They will ask you to leave the place immediately even though you haven't finished your meal (we were 4 adults with 2 kids) and no one was waiting for the table. Bad attitude!

It's just a small takeaway restaurant serving varieties kind of pakistanist/indian cuisine.. The moment I tried their lamb beriani I was like over the moon.. All the dishes was superb with reasonable prices.. Sorry to say that this restaurant is much better than Dishoom ( I mean the food ) and you don't have to go through a long annoying queue to enjoy the food. I won't be disappointed, I can guarantee that.. Happy tummy..❤❤😁

Cons: None really. It is a small takeaway kind of place and let us judge it by that. Pros: Decent portion sizes for very reasonable prices. All the dishes we ordered were good. Dont expect a great culinary experience but good value for money I would defn go again

staying at a Paddington flat, i was curious why we never found this Pakistani restaurant despite glimpsing its sign on a double decker. finally found it tucked in a corner off Edgware Road. not an imposing restaurant as it was actually the size of a cafe. ordered briyani lamb and chicken and it was a great dinner However the pakora (vegetable fritters) was so spicy that i had to pack it back. Recommended if you are looking for halal fare and for Pakistani cuisine What was remarkable was the lone worker did everything from serving sit down customers to packing for takeaways and accepting payment. Real economic management.

I wish if I could not give any star. Rubbish food, rude staff and costly. Ask about the prices before you eat; they will cheat on you. it is poisoned food yakky

Just behind cafe Nero, a little Asian takeaway food outlet. Looks dated from outside, few seats available inside if you like to sit in but majority is takeaway style. Quite a choice on dishes. Pre cooked and heated on request in plastic containers. Reasonable priced. Taste isn’t that bad either. You get what you pay for. I would go back and do recommend to do try.

Only had their snacks so far but the samosa and kebabs were delicious. The sweet mint sauce was to die for!

Came here after a couple of years, same owner, same set up and same great food! This place is as unpretentious as they come but the food is top notch. I’ve eaten curries in many different countries and the lamb karahi in this place is up there with the best of them. The naan’s are cooked fresh in a tandoor(clay oven) and are very tasty. All the food is cooked already and displayed in containers, you basically just choose the dish you want and they give you portions. Very similar set up to standard Restaurants in the Indian sub continent. Really gives you a feel of eating somewhere in Pakistan. If you want great tasting food this is a perfect little place, even though a bit pricey but I guess it is the West End. If you’re looking for plush surroundings and comfy surrounding then it’s not for you.

Curries are precooked and microwaved when you order, they are ok at best. Naans are out of a packet , they were not warmed through properly. definitely overpriced for what it is.. popadoms were stale and charged at £1.50 each,small bottle of saka water £1.80 can of 7up £2.00, salad £1.50 with 1 slice of tomato 2 slices cucumber half a white onion chopped up and some lettuce service was not very good , we sat upstairs in the very outdated dining room, we had to ask for items we ordered a few times and then to top our experience off one of the staff members took a shizt and stunk out the toilet and dining room and when i went in to wash my hands there was shizt all over the toilet. i definitely will not be returning. i dont mind paying for good service and good fresh food but this was certainly not it. i certainly will not be returning.

Amazing food and amazing staff, the owner is an amazing and a very interesting person. Nihari is a must try with freshly baked naan from oven.

Salwa is a great place not so much for eating in but for take away. The food they have is simply awesome. From Nehari to kebab, biryani to kofta, everything here is delicious. They do have a seating area where I have had a few meals. Simply the best desi food.

Totally waste of money and health. Don't eat there. The food is very stale. Worst tandoori I ever had. Tandoori without any taste. Smell of fish from tandoori. No customer service.

I have been having take-aways and some sit-down suppers in this "formica and neon" place for over 15 years. The food - especially the lamb shank - is special: fragrant and delicious. The customers seem almost as quietly distinguished as the food and staff. Along with the very different India Club in the Strand, and Gaby's in Charing Cross Road, I would cite this as a great "worth a detour" spot. Not especially cheap, nor obviously "romantic".

Authenticity is undoubted, service is brisk and the food is delicious and is served buffet style. Price is also good Would get a 5 from me if the food was cooked to order

No concept of customer service. The food is not fresh. Never seen naan already made in a restaurant, should be fresh. There is a reason this place is always empty, the food has no flavour. As a pakistani i expected better. This is pakistani food for those who have no idea who it should taste. The staff serving are not polite even when empty. Avoid at all costs.

We did not expect the food to be this nice. It was amazing place for authentic Pakistani food. If you are in Edge Wear Road area and need a quick Indian/ Pakistani bite try this place. The space inside is small but food is amazing. Highly recommended.

Salwa is a fantastic little restaurant off the legendary Edgware Road, in the heart of Arabic London. I came here with friends and whilst the exterior leaves a bit to be desired, the quality of the food is fabulous. The food is served with a smile, is flavoursome and in good portion sizes. Prices are standard/good. Patogh (a tripadvisor-award winning place) is a few doors down and whilst I rate both very highly, I think Salwa is even more fantastic! 5 steps off Edgware Road... get down to Salwa! I'll definitely be returning and definitely be recommending to the TA community and friends.

authentic flavours, good service, great food

We use this place a lot when in the UK for takeaways ..it's a great concept take away cold or heated up and eat in... There curries and rice dishes are excellent ..spiced perfectly, lots of choice, and the rices are fluffy and full of flavour...we have tried the grills but to be honest there not that good...I don't think it's the flavour or quality I don't believe any reheated cold chicken or lamb once marinated ever tastes the same as fresh but the curries? Superdooper..!!!

Really frustrated. British friends tell me chicken tikka masala is the unofficial national dish over there. This place was highly rated. Long story short, the CTM was kinda watery. I also ordered a paneer dish but when I checked the contents (too late), I actually had a 2nd chicken curry of some sort. The placed looked totally legit too. Bummer.
