The worst korean bbq I have ever eaten. The source is too heavey and the beef are too old. In addition the small plates, it just look Korean, but the taste is nothing related to it. I will never ever come back again. I never had such a experience

I usually don't eat Korean food when I go to Europe, but my son, who is attending college in London, couldn't eat it for a long time, so I looked around and ended up going there. Well, I roughly expected the price since it's London, but the taste is basic. I ordered a meat set (100 grams of tenderloin, pork neck(?), pork belly), japchae, and a small side dish (additional charge), and I grilled the meat myself. The seats were very close to each other, so it was noisy and the smoke didn't escape when grilling meat, so I felt uncomfortable. As you all know, Korean food is not popular in Europe and other countries except Southeast Asia. After seeing the service charge (12.5%), I took out the tip and put it back in.

Korean food is the best medicine when traveling is difficult. I tend to eat very bland food, so I thought the kimchi stew was salty, so I asked for hot water, but they brought an earthen pot and reheated it for me.😂 The owner even checked on me later. I recommend this delicious and friendly restaurant. There are a lot of local people and the atmosphere is nice and I am proud that the owner is Korean.

As an Asian, I would say this restaurant is ok but not that authentic. The fried chicken is a bit cold so it’s easy to tell they prepared the food and didn’t heat it properly when serving us. Bibimbap is just so so with little source given. It gives you fast food feeling overall.

Thanks to the Korean bosses' crap, I was in a bad mood on the last day of my trip to London. I guess he noticed something bad in the middle, but his attitude changed. What should I do then? The food's alright. It's another place where you have to pay for banchan. They didn't even give kimchi lol We ordered mulnaengmyeon and galbi which was alright. Ordered the yukhoe and it came out very frozen. I know sometimes chefs serve it slightly frozen, but this was quite icy. They gave us the bill before we finished our food then tried to clear the dishes 😅 Mind you, the place was empty other than one other table, so it wasn't to seat someone else quickly...

Very (too) expensive for the amount of food provided. The reception is very minimalist and unclear, certain details are not explained to you: no dish is provided with a portion of rice, it must be ordered separately for almost €10. Yes yes, I am talking about white rice. The principle is the same for Korean barbecue, all the accompaniments must be taken separately, and the quantities are again ridiculous for the price. Some dishes are halal, you can see it on the menu outside but you will have to ask again inside, the table cards do not display it. In short, don't be fooled by the prices which may seem attractive at first glance, and keep in mind that you will probably pay more than double what you had planned by adding your accompaniments, to leave probably still hungry. Despite everything, the cuisine is very good. The waiters look at you insistently, check that you are eating well and sometimes come and cook your food for you if they are afraid that you will be late at closing time.

One of the few Korean restaurants I’ve been to that charges for banchan nor did they have barley tea. They also charged for ordering hot water because, under their rationale, the process of boiling cost 50 pence. Their fans for venting the barbecue grill also didn’t seem to work because they only allowed us to cook on low heat. I would highly recommend eating elsewhere for true Korean hospitality.

Six of us visited this place for dinner on Sunday 18th Aug 24. The food was good and reasonably priced. After dinner, my niece discovered her handbag got stolen. There were 6 of us and we did not see any strangers approached our table apart from the waiters. I saw the restaurant installed CCTV and requested for a replay and the owner said that the CCTV had an issue with the recording since Saturday 17th Aug 24 and the engineer had already been called out so the system had not recorded anything since Sat 17th Aug 24. We could have called the police but did not think they would come out. However when we got home and read more reviews about this restaurant, it turned out that someone else had similar experience about 2 months ago and the owner also said something wrong with the CCTV. I strongly believe that the stealing was an inside job targeted at foreingers. So please watch out when if you decide to ear at this place.

I have eaten a lot of Korean food in different countries and even in South Korea, but really in my opinion the kkori gomtang 곰탕 soup lacks flavor, it is a little incipient, it is practically water or meat substance with onion floating, but the meat was very Tasty, the kimchi jeon was delicious, the k.f.c soy and the japche was also very delicious. The place is nice but small or perhaps there are many tables and when it is full it feels a little uncomfortable, however that is not a problem if you are hungry and only willing to eat and leave. The service is not bad, they are friendly, but there was a confusion with a tea service which they brought to the table and then they did not take it away again, but I had already tried it, so I asked them to leave it, but nevertheless they carried. I don't give it 5 stars but it's not a bad place either, you can visit it with confidence. 😉 I didn't take photos because my phone was out of battery but the food is as seen in the restaurant photos.

Walked to this place, super empty but I saw good reviews so hoped for the best. The place was empty, quiet and felt uncomfortable. The waiter gave us the menu and stared at us and we said give us some time and they didn't, which was again super uncomfortable. The tood was mediocre, the hot pot tasted plasticky, the tofu had bitter taste, the tension in the air was off. We ate and again with the staring and tension. The service charge was unbelievable as we didn't get any service other than putting the uncooked food on a stove and we cooked it for ourselves. Other hot pot places were better in my opinion and they don't charge ridiculous service charge. Overall I wouldn't recommend and I personally would never step foot there again.

I thought it was a Korean restaurant run by Chinese people, but the owner was a friendly Korean. As soon as I took a bite of kimchi stew, I immediately made a loud noise and inhaled a lot. (See on picture) and the portion surely big enough with steamed rice ordered as side. What I absolutely recommend is the drink they call plumade. 1. Good food, good service, but questionable CCTV/security measure, attitude and follow-up. 2. On Thursday, my bag was stolen during dinner here. When I realised and asked for CCTV, one of the restaurant staff/owner, instead of reassuring me and/or being helpful at first instead, asked me immediately why wouldn’t I look after my own belongings as if it was my fault after being pickpocketed. 3. Then I asked for CCTV record, very interestingly they said the camera that could film my table was “not working at the time”z. Without anything to the contrary I couldn’t challenge them on the spot. I left my contact with them expecting a proper follow-up explanation, but unfortunately they seem to have chosen to let the sleeping dog lie and evade their ostensible/apparent Occupier’s Liability on this incident. 4. If this leaves unexplained, I think it’s not unfair to run a (conspiracy) argument that some restaurants, such as Myung Ga, is part of the accompliance to the ever-heightening theft crime around soho area. Having known that theft crime is getting serious in recent days, they have the audacity to leave such a dangerous security measure… very brave. 5. I’d therefore give a warning to whoever wants to eat out there to (1) take extra care of your belongings and (2) be prepared that if your things got stolen in this restaurant, they couldn’t even provide the CCTV record WHEN THEY SAY CCTV IS IN OPERATION! 6. Another restaurant staff/owner, however, did try to be helpful by telling me how to report this crime online (although that’s useless). The same staff who confronted me at first then brought me to the security office nearby and see if anything can be done. Unfortunately: (a) the extremely helpful London met police didn’t bother my report; and (b) the security officer to whom I was brought was very defensive, and wouldn’t cooperate without police warrant etc.

However, the waiters kept coming round and putting the meat on the grill for us when we weren’t even done with what was on our plate. We were in and out in about 1 hour. That’s how rushed it was. Unfortunately, even though it wasn't busy, we felt rushed while eating. It would have been better if the staff had waited until we were nearly done before cooking more beef. The cooked items were burning and we had to quickly gather them onto our plates. The food was moved around too frequently that the beef didn't get a chance to gain any colour or sear. At one point, the beef didn't finish cooking yet when she called it done, turned off the heat and walked away. For the amount of food we received in the platters and the rushed cooking, I would say it was too expensive. I would have preferred larger portions and to cook it myself as I would in other kbbq restaurants.

TDL ….. only go here if you have no other choices. Had one of them meat grilled platters for around 45£, pork and chicken was very salty, when too salty it either frozen or not fresh quality, chicken can not be salty beside pumping it full of water, like you get from then sainsbury dozen frozen chicken piece. Disappointed that there was a extra charge for egg on top of the bibimbap (hot rice with meat/veg) most places includes that as part of this dish, after going home to glance the menu again. It come under as extra egg. The seafood pancake was very dark, not like the usual crispy light coated brown, this was more darker than usual, but taste was decent. This place is great if you want to eat something and feel out of pocket afterwards, staff are amazing. Food is undesirable but you will feel be fed. If you can visit McDonald’s or eat the wasabi please do so.

Good food, especially if you like Korean BBQ. They also have a wide range of other dishes. Try book as it is quite busy.

Quite old Korean restaurant. The food was good, we ordered too much but we wanted to try more dishes. The deep fried chicken was a bit too dry but the noodles were delicious.

I have been going here for over 20 years... it has never disappointed... the best Korean place in London without question. Food is literally handmade and cooked with love by this second-generation family owned restaurant.

Very overpriced. Green Tea for 4 people cost us £23.60 ( no tea bag inside)!!! BBQ seafood platter at £43 had 2 prawns, squid and beef… very very small portion!! Beef platter a bit better but quality not great. Very disappointed as I thought it’s an old traditional restaurant which should be reliable but certainly not in good. Service was patchy. Our beef was chucked onto the hot plate and left to cook without spreading it out to ensure meat to cook evenly! Won’t be back …we spent £174 without wine!!!!

It was an amazing dinner with my siblings. Wasn't planned, and it was quite busy, yet they found a space for us. Food, 10/10, I felt full and very good after leaving (for context, 90% of time I eat out I feel sick, not sure if it's the ingredients quality or cooking process, therefore, I prefer to stick to what I or others I know cook). Staff super friendly and will surely visit again.

The foods are just not authentic and tasty. KFC (soy sauce) is flavorless. The seafoods in pancake and soup noodles are not fresh. The seafood pancake has too much batter and little seafood, and the taste is probably the worst I’ve ever tried. As a person who have been to numerous Korean restaurants in East Asian, I don’t understand why the food here is highly rated.

Disappointing food. Pancake with seafood didn’t taste fresh and wasn’t crispy. KFC was not coated in sauce as it should be and didn’t taste fresh as well. Beef soup had stingy pieces of beef, not worth the price. I’ve definitely had better Korean food in London at this price range

Great food, very reasonably priced. The banchan was very good, fresh meat and veggies. Nothing frozen. This is one of the KBBQ places that insists the staff cook everything for you which I personally think ruins the social nature of the meal if there's a staff member grumpily tossing and turning pork in front of you. But if you're new to KBBQ then this is the best option. One thing I didn't like is that they didn't replace the grill plate between different meats. This is fine, but if you cook marinated meat before unmarinated, then everything starts to taste the same which is a bit disappointing. We also ordered another dish which never arrived and we had to ask to be removed from the bill. I'd probably come here again but order no BBQ and opt for hotpot style dishes instead.

Ordered the oxtail soup with rice and it was so bland. I thought it was just me until i read other reviews saying it was bland and under seasoned. The staff are ok, the korean lady with the blonde hair is super rude!! She was cold and seemed like she hated working there. They tried to over charge us for a cocktail that never came. They did not believe us and had to speak to other staff to see what had happened. Don’t recommend coming here.

Not good at all. I’ve lived in Korea more than 7 years and I love Korean food. But this restaurant was a big disappointment. First, a dish of starters which you’ll always get for free in any restaurant in Korea, was the most expensive item (15.9£). Second, I ordered haejang guk a meety soup which I loved in Korea, to my surprise it came only as a bunch of sprouts in hot water with some kimchi sauce. And this was 14£! Even for this, they didn’t take some time to at least boil it a little bit. I just ended up chewing some sprouts …

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Hakkasan. The waiting staff were exceptionally attentive and provided clear and helpful explanations throughout our meal. We opted for the Taste of Hakkasan menu, starting with the vegan dim sum and duck salad—both excellent choices. For the mains, my partner chose the spicy prawns, which were flavorful but lacked the expected spiciness, while I had the ribeye. Unfortunately, the ribeye was slightly overcooked and a bit tough, though I hadn’t specified medium rare. We also ordered a side of pak choi in oyster sauce, which complemented the meal beautifully. Dessert was delightful, with hazelnut ice cream—a personal favorite—though it felt less aligned with traditional Cantonese flavors. The cocktails were a highlight, skillfully crafted and beautifully presented. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’d gladly return to explore more of the menu.
