Basic dining experience but tasty food. We enjoyed the vegan tofu curry and the summer rolls, the pho was quite bland but ok. These three dishes were plenty for a meal for two and came to £31. Service is non-existent; ordering is via the website (frustrating with poor internet signal) or cash only, the staff barely acknowledged anyone. Nice enough surroundings and still busy just before closing at 10pm. Not the best Vietnamese food around but quick and simple and not too expensive, go for a quick post-pub tea, not to linger.

Bien cocinada, buena comida sabrosa.

There was nothing exceptional or particularly good, but nothing was very bad. The noodle salad dish I had was okay but not that flavoursome, and the summer rolls lotus stems were both okay but I've had much better. The staff were unfriendly, the food wasn't that interesting.

The best Vietnamese food we've had outside of Vietnam. Totally authentic and full of flavour. The restaurant has a mellow laid back vibe and we could have easily been in Saigon. Pleasant waitresses and perfect timing on food.

If you feel like dining in a 14 year olds bedroom when they hate you for being there (think Kevin and Perry) then this place is a must. Our food order was wrong, no apology at first just that it was taking down wrong...erm yep. Would have probably helped if the guy taking our order could have maybe clarified what he put through the system instead of deciding to talk to other people half way through taking our order. And when he bought the food over and was trying to figure out what he was serving us I just he would rather be anywhere else in the world. It was flavourless, chickenless, overpriced broth. I said 'do you have any soy sauce?' The response was 'yeah....do you want some?' No I was obviously just asking out of pure curiosity as to how your stock levels were doing. Not a vibe. Should have gone to au lac up the road which is amazing.

The place serves great pho soups and starter dishes particularly lamb chops. A bartender is on site weekends and the cocktails taste great.

I think it was the Buddha who once implored us to work out our own salvation and not to depend on others. Wise words, especially for those daft enough to try "Salvation in Noodles". Within moments of starting our dining experience we realized that there would be no noodle nirvana, instead we were damned to an hour of service that left us musing on our past sins and our worsening prospects of absolution. On a hot London evening we were belatedly greeted, in the loosest sense of the term, by a server who had no interest in offering us water let alone taking any kind of order, but mumbled that there would be no noodle salads (approximately half the menu). Just hot bone broth on this hot and humid day. Yum. Alas, we would have to wait several more minutes before we could order this food we hadn't come to eat. My friend eventually managed to get another server's attention. I think by yelling fire, fire, fire, after all conventional approaches had been rebuffed. Still, such unpromising beginnings to salvation could be rectified by a cold beer, no? No, apparently not. The drinks menu we'd been starring at for half an hour was merely an ornamental piss-take. They had no alcohol license. Still wanting to ascend to this increasingly distant noodle salvation we asked for recommendations. I forget the specific monosyllabic grunt but the subtext of which was why don't you just leave me alone. Upon completing this agonizing procedure, our server laconically muttered "sweet", ironically drawing our attention to the fact that there was no sweetness in the room, perhaps in the world. It was at this point we realized that our server too was damned; she was filled with the ennui of someone that everyday was promised salvation yet was surrounded by despair. We were all apostates and infidels in this brothy hell hole. My dining partner, felt the need to cleanse both her soul and her hands, upon finding the women's loo out of order she asked if there was somewhere she might wash her hands. She was told "toilet" as if she had been grappling with the concept of hand washing rather the specifics of the location of a sink. Our food arrived as our last hopes had departed. We were without joy, knowing that there would be no salvation here. I looked at the cold dead prawns and wondered if they too had imagined a life filled with better things than dying an unremarkable death in Finsbury Park, realizing as I watched its pallid, decapitated corpse that I too was dying an unremarkable death in Finsbury park. As we left the world's most miserable service, we saw the restaurant sign. In bright red letters it proclaimed SIN. Suddenly it made sense. This was not a place of salvation, but a gastric purgatory in which your needs and wants are ignored and you are left to reflect on your life, your failings and transgressions.

Salvation in Noodles or SiN for short is very good. Why so few reviews ? This should change because the food is very good at a fair price. The location is just 5 minutes from Finsbury Park tube station. The decor is industrial & salvaged wood. The service is fine. The food is very good - fresh & tasty. I've posted a picture of the whole menu. Starters are about £6 and mains are £9. Its not the cheapest but its fair. The pho is very good - I have minor gripes like the mint comes with the pretty stalk looking marvelously sculptural but its not quite the authentic mint and the stalk cannot be eaten. Also some of the more traditional herbs are substituted for more common british alternatives. These are very minor as the food is v good.We had the pho bo ie beef pho and a spicy noodle dish called bun rieu - this was spicy as promised. Pics posted. We also had the chicken wings which was crispy piping hot and delicious and the prawns salad called goi ngo sen which was refreshing. Go visit and support this place and its outpost in dalston. Weekdays its open from 6pm but also for lunch at weekends. A msg to the management - admin & logistics could be sharper eg phone at finsbury park branch doesnt work and the voicemail at dalson is full. These things are easy to rectify. Much luck with the business guys. If you found this review helpful please vote thanks

I went there with three friends, we had a late noodles dinner. The waitresses were extremely fine and available, even if it was nearly closing time; the noodles we had (4 different types, with soup, fish, meat, veggies) were all excellent and the price was good too. Great experience, will be surely back

Some of the food here is really delicious. We had the lamb chops and the dumplings from the starters/sharing and both were excellent. Pho is also good. I'm a bit of a bun hue connoisseur and this one was good but not the best. City Caphe is still the one to beat, for me. The restaurant interior is too hipster for me. Small, and industrial, with an open kitchen revealing a few disagreements between the chefs and the waitresses. Service is pretty good although our order got a bit confused. It's always busy here. Contrary to what other reviewers say, it is possible to book, and you definitely should. Although to do so currently involves calling the Balls Pond Road branch to get a phone number that works. If I lived very close I'd probably be a regular, but it's not worth a special trip.
