Such lovely food in a relaxed atmosphere. The majority of the food has a beautiful Spanish twist and is wonderful, the service is very friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Some starters can be a little large so if you are aiming to get through to a sweet, be careful. Drinks are very reasonably priced.

Nice people and nice place/atmosphere. Starter was fine. Main course: Sole was terrible, ate half and couldn't eat rest as very salty. Parents had same and theirs was also very salty. mentioned to waitress who apologised and that's where it ended! We decided not to take it any further and even paid the service charge. But we won't be going there again any time soon. people on next table said their food was not nice. Real shame. I took my parents out for a treat...but it really wasn't and we can still taste salt! My poor Dad is not feeling well this morning. I would not recommend and suggest going elsewhere.

We had a very warm welcome and attentive staff couldn’t do enough for us. We had excellent starters of lobster bisque and scallops followed by lobster risotto and huge tasty pork ribs for mains. We would highly recommend this place, absolutely top notch!

Cheerful and friendly service in an historic listed building overlooking Hayle Harbour and the World Heritage Site. Ideal for friends and family meetings.

Absolutely wonderful visit. The cream tea was the best I think I’ve ever had. Warm scones, huge pot of cream and delicious jam, must be homemade. The tea was piping hot and came with an additional tea bag should you like it strong.

I arrived late, however the staff were incredibly patient and helpful in helping me check in. They even let me leave my luggage with them for the day after I'd checked out. The rooms were new, well-kept and clean, and the Tavern is only about a ten minute walk from the station. Overall, this is the best value accommodation you're going to find in Penzance and I highly recommend it!
