Low standard lunch Side salads could be a bit more exciting, tomato and lettuce…. full stop. Fish and chips from a packet (oven fish) not freshly cooked Staff nice

From entering the restaurant to getting our food was 40 mins. Not enough staff, nobody in a hurry. Stirring sticks and ketchup had run out. People, like us, just sitting waiting. Our breakfasts were under-whelming when they arrived. Egg leathery, the meal was certainly not HOT. Toast was soggy. Baked beans were good! When we tried to clear away as required, there was no room on the "trolley". People had stacked their trays on tables, chairs etc. Sainsbury's really need to sort this out. We will try somewhere else next time.

We decided to breakfast here one Sunday, instead of our usual, because it was close to B&M. It was worth the trip, and we might do it again if the opportunity arises. Good: * Power points with USB sockets at each table * Comfortable booths * Good baked beans, with a thick but minimal sauce * Can get filter coffee, which seems hard to find nowadays Bad: * Uncomfortable chairs (we moved to a booth) * Prices are much higher than posted online * It’s cold. No matter where you sit, you will get a breeze from the main doors opening as customers enter * Most of the posters have grammatical errors

We visited the cafe at 10.30am, there was signage everywhere saying breakfast was until 11.30am so it was a shame to see a grumpy lady from the kitchen approach the lady at the tills at 10:45am and tell her to stop taking breakfast orders, it was not even busy. She then also said, there's no bacon left either so they will have to have sausages, oh and we are out of mushrooms. The cafe is within sainsburys.... breaking news..they stock bacon and mushrooms in there! it's not rocket science. Tables were not cleaned at all the whole time we were present, food was average at best and there was no brown sauce. Stock control and service are key points to be addressed here.

Cheap fish, tinned soggy peas, poor quality chips. Eggs over cooked. Restaurant has gone down hill massively, it’s really quiet in here and I can see why. We won’t be coming back.

Popped in for a Sunday breakfast , staff were very friendly . Food was delivered to me within 3 minutes of ordering and then with an extra Hash brown that had been originally omitted . Very clean and tidy , good quality breakfast for a very reasonable price

I visited the sainsburys in west swindon to buy items for my daughters dinner I was looking for items low in protein and dairy free so I had to find them throughout the food part of the shop which is very large,the items I found were a dairy free yoghurt by the coconut collection, approx coconut milk, some sweet freedom choc pot chocolate spread with no palm oil a free from margarita pizza low in dairy and protein, also some low protein cheese spread and dairy free ice cream, the shop has all of these items and more for people on a low protein diet a gluten diet or a dairy free diet. There is loads of choice in all areas of the store and kids can be checked into a learning facility while you shop within the store also they have toilets and a very good sized cafe serving hot and cold meals and items there is also a argos within the shop.Outside there is a garden centre, and a b and m store which is extremely large, and apetrol station in carpark there is also a pharmacy a bit further walk there are several other shops one being pets at home and another being dreams bed shop and carpets.

A fairly standard Sainsbury's café, with a reasonable standard and range of food and drink. But whenever I have visited, most of the empty tables are covered in used crockery. So it is not particularly welcoming.

Been here couple.times before big shop Takes 25 mins min for food regardless of whether there is one or 100 customers. Staff always struggle to use the till and food is luke warm. Another example.of locations key so dont worry about anything else :(

After trying to get a breakfast at Dobbies in Cirencester and being told they had stopped serving breakfast early, we popped here. Lovely lovely breakfast. I was asked if I wanted something instead of the eggs, usually if I ask for an alternative at other places, you’d think I’d asked for a free breakfast by their reaction. Here they asked rather then me having to. Staff were all friendly and polite. Definitely will be coming back, but will have to wear something warmer as despite being the other side of the cafe, the draft from the main supermarket doors made it freezing. People were sat with their coats on and even some with woolly hats on!

I usually shop at Sainsbury and this cafe is the best I have found. Sometimes the wait for food can be a bit long but mostly it is reasonable. Most main meals cost £5 with Taste the Difference meals at £6. I usually stick with the sausage and mash but have tried most of the menu. I would always recommend this cafe

We stopped in fir breakfast on a Saturday morning. I ordered a veggie breakfast with Halloumi and my partner a full English. Both breakfasts were very tasty and we didn't have to wait too long for them but it wasnt busy. The only complaint was the toast was well under cooked and came already buttered. I quite like to do my own butter as I don't always want it. Other than that it was fab.

We have eaten here a few times and each time it has been brilliant. Their ham, eggs and chips are really tasty - and so is the fish & chips. Good food, well cooked at a reasonable price and served with a smile!

Had breakfast here after stopping on way home from a wedding, it was worth the wait.. came out hot and was very nice. Friendly staff and service.

Went to the create your own pizza counter, was ignored for 5 minutes by 2 staff members at counters either side, I asked if I could be served to be told no because the lady who can do pizza is on her break! Eventually someone did give us forms to select our choices, we picked them up ten mins later and they were wrong, the guy didn’t read the forms properly and said ‘ ooops me bad’ won’t bother next time

Good place for coffee or tea or perhaps a meal while shopping, always clean & tidy, staff are great, welcome mobility scooter users, assistance no trouble at all

Popped in here for drink and piece of cake. Two people behind the counter took forever to serve us. Once we got our drinks and cake we couldn't find a single table that didn't have coffee / tea stains and crumbs on it. Need more staff.

Waiting a ridiculous amount of time for a bowl of chips! Over 20 minutes. Don’t bother if you’re hungry.

Nice to pop in the Sainsbury's cafe for a coffee and a read of the paper in the morning while you get your head together. Good coffee and a nice selection of cakes.

Can't help the occasional cheeky breakfast before the weekly shop on a Saturday morning. Foods delicious and always hot and a good menu for a small cafe.

Pick day of week & time of your visit - lovely cafe for lovely cream cakes & coffee. Staff so very helpful.

You can get a really reasonable lunch or other meal for a good price. I like their fish and chips. I had the pie and mash and it was excellent. Good tea and coffee reasonable prices.

Thought i'd give Sainsbury's in West Swindon a go for a change today. Good quality food - though a little on the pricey side. Very helpful staff who were extremely helpful. Will be back.

Knowing that the breakfast stops at 11.30, I arrived in the queue at 11.20. Waited, Waited. 11.30 went. Waited. Then told "not doing breakfast"! It's not my fault if there are not enough staff on to handle the rush. They have 2 tills but only 1 in use. Why was I punished because the staff were slow.

Great vegetarian breakfast. Only disappointing thing about my visit was the 22 minute wait for it!!! Otherwise - 10 out of 10.

Absolutely delicious English breakfast they serve. Really good coffee. Atmosphere very nice, so this is why we eat breakfast almost every Sunday.

What you see, purchase and take home, is what you get to eat- good, wholesome, freshly resourced food. Delicious sandwiches, salads, pies aplenty and good honest lunches like cottage pie. Welcoming staff and, of course excellent value for money

Los olores de las comidas del colegio, asientos, comida apetitosa veía sucio y forma muy caro. En general preferiría comprar un sándwich y comer en un banco en el parque

No está mal. Mesa no s limpian con suficiente rapidez. Ayer fuimos en cada mesa vacía y necesitaba limpieza. Decidimos no comeré aquí ya que parece ser gradualmente empeorando. Como si nadie realmente disfruta de su trabajo allí.

Fuimos de compras y nos las arreglamos para conseguir los puntos límites concedido a mí. Tienda limpio y amigable. Muy útil en la barra de lotería y también en la salida. Después de las compras y la salida rápida encontré que necesitaba y más. Era fácil aparcar y me las arreglé para llenar el tanque al mismo tiempo. El único inconveniente es que a veces la salida para el arca como veces carpas premium significa retrasos de Londres. La tienda pone en personal de gestión del tráfico cuando se produce. Así que el momento es de la esencia a lo largo de la semana con la carrera de Navidad. Los compradores de buena suerte.

Yo tenía el almuerzo aquí en una ocasión de paso. Tuve que en el mejor de los macarrones con queso era normal. Buena relación calidad precio y rápido pero carece de calidad.

Whilst the coffee was nice and the service was okay, the quality of the food was very average. The Big Breakfast was half a plate of tepid beans, with some other items around the outside. It was reasonable value but could easily be improved and step up a notch quite quickly.One of the good things about the Sainsbury's Cafe in general though is their display of the calorie content of the meals and drinks. This does make choice a little more informed.

As supermarket cafes go this has to be one of the better ones I normally go for breakfast or lunch and it's a fair meal for a fair price I use frequently so will return

We had stopped at Sainsbury’s Café, Swindon, last year for breakfast on our way to Cornwall and decided to stop here again this year.There is plenty of room and the tables are not too close together and the staff are friendly and helpful. We didn’t have to wait very long for our breakfast which was freshly cooked and piping hot – unlike some of the so called motorway cafes.As customers left, the tables were quickly cleared and wiped down, and seats cleaned when necessary.This place is definitely worth a visit.

Overall v. good. Basic standard food out of the shop mostly though. I had the soup on the weekend. Hot and tasty. Seating and cleaning up could be better.

i have been twice now. and the cod is Real Cod it is mouthwatering gorgeous and big. the first time i got the fish and chips and peas but could not eat it all and was no way leaving the fish. so next time i said no peas ,bless them they gave me more chips to compensate, but once again by the time i had eaten the fish i was full. The Staff are brillian so polite and helpful

Highly recommend the breakfasts. Good quality ingredients, cooked to order and always delicious. Staff in Sainsburys are lovely and always give excellent customer service.

The food was hot and used fair trade goods. Coffee tasted good too. The bacon was a little burnt at the edges but overall a good experience. Cost was fair for a full english and I was able to swap some items. Just need to ask.

Just dropped in my local sainsburys for a late lunch after a family funeral with my partnerWe both had the Yorkshire ham and chips (one with eggs and one with beans) First my partners tea bag broke so the tea leaves went everywhere so he had a clean cupSecond when our dinner arrived I had a small portion of chips that were very burnt to a crisp and nearly cold I find there is never enough amount of food or they sell out of the stuff everyone wants and leaves things I do not eat

A general shopping place but with great products at low prices.I would suggest this to anyone who has a lot of money and likes spending it on good products at low prices. Great work Sainsburys

We stopped here for breakfast after our bad experience at the Leigh Delamare Services (EDC) earlier this year and after ordering our food, relaxed in the clean and pleasant café while enjoying a lovely cup of tea.The café was very busy so there was a little bit of a wait but when the food was served it was well worth it, piping hot and cooked to perfection – not a hard egg yolk in sight!The staff were really friendly and seemed to be happy in their work. The food was very reasonably priced – so much nicer than some of those so called motorway ‘services’ for want of a better word!We’ll definitely stop there again for breakfast.

We had just come out of the outlet and so disappointed that the Harry Ramsdens has gone when we called in here and decided to try their hand battered fish and chips.Well we can honestly say it was one of the tastiest fish we have had for a long while, didn't go too much on the chips but loved the fish.Two meals plus a couple of large coffees for under £15 what a treat.

It always amazes me when you shop with Sainsbury when you are ready to check out there are never many tills open i shop early the reason being that I have more to do in a day then stand in a queue waiting and when you ask staff if they can open up more tills they say they don't have the staff even as you look down the Isles seeing 3 or more staff chatting.

Salisbury have long been my favorite Grocery Shop. Particularly like there fruit and veg. wins lands down on the score over the the competition.

Staff are very friendlyThe range is not huge but should have everything you may want, and not doing too much means they can provide a higher and more consistent quality.Had the Mega brunch and swapping beans for mushrooms proved to be no issue, Fish and chips was great. Nice and crisp batter and youngest had the pasta bologneise which was polished off very quickly (although he did say it was not as good as mine :-) )For not a lot of money I feel we got a lot of value. 10/10 Sainsburys cafeOnly thing I would criticise would be that the cafe was a bit cold, it does not help being close to the main entrance.

In the context of supermarket cafes, this was very good indeed. Meals cooked fresh to order and service with a smile.Good basic selection of traditional fare, for breakfast, lunch, or just a simple snack. Fish and chips are very good from experience, food and drink is reasonably priced. Good selection of coffees, made freshly for you, not serve yourself from an unreliable machine which is the case in another of our local Sainsburys. This branch is not our nearest Sainsburys, but we always drive the extra distance to come here because it is a far nicer experience. Well done to all the staff at Sainsburys West Swindon.

I was so, so pleasantly surprised by our visit! We were a family of two adults and three children (3, 2, 1 years) so I expect a lot of people see (or hear!) us coming and immediately dread serving us...especially when the children are tired and hungry from an adventure walk and wearing wellies! We didn't order anything special, three children's sandwich bags, a panini and some chips, but the service we received made the visit really enjoyable. All of the staff were really helpful and smiley, the cafe was cleaner than some restaurants I've eaten in and it was superb value for money. I believe the childrens bag was £3 and contained a sandwich (the girls LOVED the chicken and sweetcorn on wholemeal bread-it made a change to jam as in most cafes!), a piece of fruit, a carton of juice, a yoghurt and a packet of crisps...I don't think you could ask for it to be much better value for money. We'll be popping in before the shopping more often :)

The breakfasts are really good. the have consistent quality and know how to keep the egg runny :-) I just wish breakfast was served a little later than 11am when the lunch menu kicks in. especially on sundays

My husband and I were traveling around the UK and he wanted to take me to see his first childhood home, as he was born in Swindon. On the way down from Oxfordshire we hadn't bothered to stop for breakfast so we stopped in at Sainsbury's when we got there. The sausage breakfast sandwich I has was the best I'd ever tasted. They use their crusty homemade-style bread and I was DROOLING. I've had other breakfasts and lunches at Sainsburys' cafes before, which were good, but this was the best by far.

No frills, food more than passable, staff very friendly? Nothing to dislike fr ths kind of eatery.Staff willing to help and deliver hot food to your table

Large cafe area with plenty of tables that are certainly not rammed on top of each other, some sofas a low level tables.Good basic menu and everything cooked to order, well cooked and good value for money, cant really ask for more.
