Visited the cafe with a friend about 2.30. Only two other customers there. No problems about over crowding or distancing obviously but customer service had much to be desired. Unfriendly communication(young man) Given a tea with no milk or explanation as to where cutlery, sugar mill etc was. Tea bag had burst in cup and given a dirty tray. Even had to clean table we sat up as there was sugar and crumbs everywhere. No apologies and given a fresh cup of tea on another dirty tray. Won't be going back or recommending it. Certainly not given me confidence and was the first time visiting a cafe this year. Expected much better service

I called in on Saturday morning for breakfast only to be told they were only doing a limited menu. It transpired that limited meant porridge, eggs, toast, bacon or any combination and that was it. No explanation as to why. Completely useless and won't be going back!

Staff somewhat indifferent. Polite but not particularly friendly. Visited the cafe several times in the last week and found it difficult to find a clean table. It cannot be that difficult to tell a member of staff to wipe the tables. Food basic but tastes ok and is good value for money. Fish and chips not bad, considering what you have to pay. The same applies to the ham, egg and chips. When you can ignore the tables with coffee stains and food rests (some even wobble) and find a clean one, then you can enjoy a decent snack for not a lot of money.

Called in for a quick bite at 2pm for family of 5 - not many people in the restaurant however 50 min wait!!! “Sorry we are understaffed” was the reply from one of the 3 serving staff who looked way out of their depth - and not long out of primary school.

Bad attitude is never good for any business and that's just what I got when I sent my so called toast back as it wasn't toasted, this is the second attempt, no better, couldn't be bothered to complain again so just left it, the bacon was stone cold, egg, sausage and beans like warm. If you cant even get the basics right, why bother, the only thing I could say was excellent was the Late.

I have been here many times for lunch but today I just had a drink as it was mid morning. The cafe was not very busy. I sat on a sofa with a low table and when I looked at the floor it was filthy. The debris must have been from the previous day. The table was dirty also even though it was clear. As it was only shortly after 10am I dread to think what state the place would be in after lunch time.

Over many years we have used Sainsburys Thetford as a pit stop on the way to see our family in Norfolk. It has always offered excellent value for money, nice food and good coffee. We always comment on how nice all of the staff are. It is often busy, you may have to queue for a while but we quite like not being rushed. The price you pay would be nigh on double in a posh trendy cafe. We stopped by on Friday and had a nice lunch and a really good Americano.

A friend and I decided to try the cafe after shopping in Sainsbury’s, it was busy but we queued and were served. We tried to find a table and although about a third were available, they were almost all piled high with previous guests crockery. The “clear your plates here” area was completely full and people had resorted to putting trays on the floor and nearby tables. I cannot imagine they had been cleared all day. Our food, jacket potato with tuna and chips to go with a sandwich, took a full 20 minutes, and arrived soon after I got up to find out where it was. I saw other diners also going to check on their meals. The food was completely cold, both jacket potato and chips were just around room temperature and inedible. We thought about complaining but there seemed little point as it would probably be another 20 minutes and by this point we wanted to get out of there. The tables and floor were filthy, really sticky. The napkins were blue paper towels, the cutlery was dirty and stained. The staff looked drained and demoralised. I’m not sure what’s happening here but I wouldn’t risk eating here again. I have often had snacks in supermarket restaurants but I’ve never experienced anything like this. Come on Sainsbury’s you must be capable of sorting this out.

Absolute dive of a pub, bar staff have no idea what they are doing, clientele are rowdy and rather rude. Drinks were awful from tap.

We stayed one night in our camper-van in the car park at the Great Danes country Inn at Beachamwell (a small pretty village near Swaffham) as a stop-over on the way to the Norfolk Broads. Roger made us very welcome and although the restaurant was closed they served take-out food. We were expecting cardboard cartons etc. but Roger came out with a tray, china and cutlery promptly at the time we requested. The food was very good - piping hot and generous portions and great value at around £20 for two servings. Definitely recommend.

This was a regular stop for their wonderful cakes and breakfasts. They had been advertising afternoon teas so we decided to treat ourselves just before going on holiday. We booked a few weeks in advance but when we arrived on the day we found the gates locked. We did see the owner leaving but he just said "we're closed - got no staff" and drove off. The whole garden center has been closed since and word is they went bankrupt. We feel really sorry for the wonderful staff and can only hope they found something else 😢
