Sainsbury’s Cafe in Wiltshire

Hilarious experience! Consisted of many waiters wandering around, looking confused and attempting to foist whatever food they were carrying with anyone who showed a slight interest or didn't avoid eye contact. We were served the wrong drink and the two meals came over 10 minutes apart so one person had finished before the other person had started! Food was ok, small portion of scampi and chips, large piece of fish with chips. Both with mushy peas. Service in general very slow, couldn't find sauces so had to ask. Menu very short so no idea how so much confusion seemed to arise! The cafe was quiet, unsurprising as I don't think many people would make a return trip!

A great lunch or casual dinner place is right in the supermarket! We had a great meal when we just went in for a quick snack after a successful food shopping trip. Kudos to the kitchen staff, especially JASON, who made us feel welcome and served up some great food (fish and chips, cheeseburgers, fries, hamburgers, chicken nuggets for the children). I'd go back any time we're shopping in Chippenham.

The young man who waited table was polite and considerate. He’ll go far. Believe it was his first day so amazing service The OMl was excellent as was the almond croissant. X

Omg rubbish breakfast or what...me and the wife wanted a sausage bap it was only just gone 9am only to be told not enough sausages for baps only for breakfasts.....drrrr....it's a supermarket..so we had 2 breakfasts and 2 cappuccinos...well the food rated 1 out of 10....lukewarm the only thing we enjoyed was the coffees...We are definitely NOT going there again....would I recommend it...NO...

Checked website prior to coming for a Sunday breakfast- excited to see it was back open and attended. No where on website is there mention of reduced menus. All you can have is a drink and a savoury pastry no other cooked food available. Felt disappointed and needed to go elsewhere for a breakfast. I understand restrictions are out there- however the website could have been updated with information around this. Coffee and tea were good and service always great from the staff hence the 3 stars.

Good consistent food and friendly service to set you up for the rest of the day. I have noted regular faces when we visit which indicates it consistently hits the spot for a number of people. Great to get a good coffee, sit back and read the free papers before doing the weekly shop

Ypu cannot fault this breakfast for value for money. I would say your big breakfast is big bug it was tasty. You do need to stop under cooking the toast and pre buffering it - I quite often like my toast without butter. The veggie breakfast is great. No none meat products pretending to be meat but halloumi instead.

Clean and not too busy. Nice coffee but long wait to get it made as they were training new staff but friendly enough and apologised. Not many cake oprions thou.

I visited for breakfast on a Sunday. I liked the sound of the breakfast with halloumi but they didn't have any halloumi. I did wonder why they didn't just get some from the store, it is a supermarket after all. Anyway we have our cooked breakfast with tea and couldn't fault it. Great price too. I'll be returning soon.

Use this cafe often for weekend breakfast. The quality rarely changes- it’s a supermarket cafe the food is fine. We have had recently experienced where items are not available. This is becoming quite normal for the avocado breakfast. ( not been available for weeks at either of our local sains) omelettes too today and sometimes brown bread. I always find an alternative but it amazes me that a massive food store with a cafe runs out of food!! I just don’t understand!! Anyway service is usually prompt and as I say no fault with the food
