Sainsburys Cafe in Slough

Average cafe, but good for a snack and drink. Good selection of food, Seating area clean, tables were clean no rubbish anywhere

Went to eat for lunch. Waited quite a while for service.Jacket potatoe was ok, but the omelette was like rubber. Looked like powdered egg. Worst omelette, horrible tasting. Did not eat. Why not charge a little more and serve decent food. Also cannot make out why they have changed half the area of cafe, the chairs and tables have been changed to very low tables, looks like a childrens nursery. How are you expected to eat meals? Management have got the seating completely the wrong way around. Lots of people complaining. Not improved.

Did some shopping at Sainsbury and decided to grab a bit to eat. Normal food , nothing special, service good and not cheap really, but ok.

Big mistake coming here for a quick bite. 20 min que with only 2 people in the queue to begin with, 30 mins later food arrives. It was tasty and nice but not what I ordered lol

Dropped into Sainsbury’s cafe for an evening meal. Still an hour and half to closing time. 1. Very limited menu most things not being served. 2. Very poor level of cleanliness Come Sainsbury’s do better!!!!

On the Sainsbury's website it says this cafe is supposed to be open until 7pm on Wednesdays, however we arrived around 6.20 and they said they were closed and would not let us purchase food.

I visited the cafe for breakfast with my family. My first question to the assistant was "Do you have Gluten Free bread?" She answered "Yes, we do". Great i thought. "I'll have the halloumi vegetarian breakfast with GF bread please", then the assistance said "oh we don't have gluten free bread!" Isn't that what my 1st question was?? Then she said I could swap the toast for an extra hash brown. "Are your hash browns GF?", assitant: "I'm not sure, probably not!" I suggested she ask a colleague to see if they were wheat free or not but she then said she had a customer ask the same thing the other day and was now sure they weren't! As im wheat intolerant thankfully not coelliac i decided to go for porridge as did my son. So 2 porridges, plus items for my other son & husband. She asked were we paying card or cash but then didnt say how much the total was. I obviously had to read that off the till for myself! Then the order came with only 1 porridge!! She had only put 1 through which not checking my receipt I'd not realised so we then had to wait for a 2nd porridge to be brought over. I felt really let down that she did not go and find out about any of my questions and that a cafe in a supermarket that sells GF items do not supply them to eat in the cafe. I did feel that she needed extra training in dietary requirements as I'm sure I'm not the only one to ask these type of questions and also that she should feel able to ask colleagues for advice if she isn't sure. Im glad i don't live nearby as I would not be going back to this particular cafe again.

We had been staying at the Premier Inn which I begrudged paying for a big buffet breakfast. We were late up anyway and had left transportation elsewhere. It was wet. Sainsbury was the only real option left. Sadly, it did not deliver. Now let's get some perspective on how sad this actually is. The Royal Oak in Farnham Royal not far away from here has 3 menus. The main menu, lunch menu, and autumn specials. And the food for me is rather damn good. I recommend. Now sainsburys have a small menu, which seems simple. They are a supermarket, that sell rather good produce, albeit more expensive than rival stores in my opinion. They have hardware, pans, oils, produce. So how is it my beans were luke warm, hard like uncooked properly, and stale. The hash browns are deep fried, better oven cooked. Everything is cooked in fat or oil. Which is unnecessary. I can cook better than that. When I pay for food I expect to have food that is better than what I could prepare. I will never ever eat here again. I ate in the cafe at Tesco extra Trowbridge, and that was in a different league completely. Get cooks who care and give them the tools needed to provide well cooked, better tasting and healthier food to your customers. Show you care. Because it feels like you don't.

got there a few times for breakfast and dinner from our hotel , got what you expect . Handy for the prem inn opposite

We eat here for breakfast regularly at the weekend.Usually we order the porridge or sometimes the breakfast omelette both of which are very good.The staff here are very helpful especially Lorna who always greets us with a cheery hello.The only downside is that at busy times it can take a while for you to be served,Sainburys take note...More staff needed in the cafe at weekends!!

I ordered a meat free breakfast and ended up with a meat breakfast. I am a vegetarian I found this very rude. It has happened several times before and I totally think its out of order. Me and my colleague was the other people at the till so it wasn't even busy.

Ordered the meal at 2. 30 wait for one hourfor the staff to come and say they run out of fish. Worst staff and worst service ever.

Popped in to do some shopping, so went to the cafe after. Lovely and clean staff very friendly and extremely good coffee. Just what you need.

Had a great cup of tea whilst waiting for a prescription, staff were friendly & place was clean. Would try again.

Went here with my mum for fish & chips. The counter staff are very friendly, but when I got my meal the chips were stone cold! However the staff were so apologetic and gave me a new bowl of hot chips right away. A good place for lunch and the coffee is first class

I did report this cafe to management once but it has improved 100%. I shop here regularly. And often stop for cuppa and toasted tea cake. I have sampled the eggs hsm and chips. All very tasty

Este es un excelente café, decepcionante no revisado lo suficiente dada la popularidad.

La comida en el restaurante es, en general, muy bueno. Sin embargo, cuando se utiliza para poder realizar cambios en el menú el personal parece ser muy reacios a hacerlo ahora. No me gusta pan de ajo y siempre utilizada para poder intercambiar por patatas fritas en una Butternut squash lasaña, pero ahora tengo que pedir patatas fritas como un lado orden y residuos el pan de ajo.
