Went for breakfast, coffee machine broken so ended up with a cup of Tea Ordered 2 breakfasts and nice but helpings are getting smaller every time we go. Cake slices have gone very stingy and not much filling. But the carry on charging the same if not more. Did a bit of store shopping but prices high so shopping limited. Disappointed that this store have no charging facilities for electric cars etc. I cannot believe that we are in the year 2024 where Sainsbury's is advertising renewable energy and doing it's bit contributing towards saving the planet. But WHY has it not got EV Charging point a massive store with no facility to charge your cars.i fing This not only unbelievable but disgusting that a super sized store that been built a few years ago and would have had plenty of time to install chargers. I think I'll be shopping at Morrisons in leek at least they have chargers

I visited this cafe whilst taking my mum for breakfast, what a mistake that was. We had to send the breakfast back as the eggs were undercooked and gelatinous. When the replacements arrived the eggs were hard and rubbery, the toast was damp, the mushroom resembled roadkill and the sausages belong in a bin. Avoid this place if you want quality food.

Popped to have a snack, but opted for full English and my sister had sausage and chips. When it came it was warm - ish! Egg was more than over easy! And both our meals soon went cold. Not at all appetising. Won't be going for an encore!

We had two tea cakes that were cold and not cooked properly along with rock hard cold butter packs, a latte that tasted stale and a mug of tea with the teabag in and no teaspoon. Very disappointing I used to enjoy this cafe.

Ordered all day breakfast, ham egg and chips and fish and chips. The food was served very quickly but it was appalling, the eggs in the breakfast and my meal were cold and rubbery, the batter on the wish was really hard, the ham was fatty, the only good thing about the meal was the tea. Disgraceful. Sainsbury’s are certainly going down hill.

After a hefty shopping spree around Leek ready for Christmas, we finished at Sainsburys, so as to relax and admire the view over towards the Roaches up the Churnet Valley. We had been about a week before and we weren't exactly impressed with the service and standard of food, but we both were in dire need of some food and a drink and thought we'd give them the benefit of the doubt. We both opted for a baguette - mine was beef and the wife's was a Christmas baguette I believe it was called (don't quote me), with turkey and stuffing etc.To cut a long story short, we will not dine their again or have a drink for that matter, as the service was appalling and although we asked whether the gravy came in a little jug, and were informed it does, we both got it poured all over our baguettes, and the wife's came with no stuffing or trimmings. And, the time it took for her to actually get the food ordered was shocking - what with insufficient staff, and staff that did not know what they doing, confusion etc etc!! The pots of tea were fine! NB: we both mentioned the missing items and gravy issue to the young lad who served us but decided to keep what we had as were were so hungry and had waited long enough, but had the missed items delivered a bit later. It used to be so nice, great food, good portions at a fare price and in a nice environment, but sadly it had deteriorated badly, and the words of the young manager(?) who the wife spoke in regards to our issues were not at all reassuring. He basically blamed it on the lack of staff, and made not a whisper of a way to make amends!! A great shame!

called in for lunch no one behind the counter waited for quite a few minutes before someone who was just coming on duty who was still in his coat asked if anyone had taken our orders when we said no he went straight into the kitchen and one of the girls took our order the table we ate at was in a good need of wiping down, the food was terrible when it arrived (I have to say we have eaten many times here but this was the worst food and service)

Called in today for a drink and something to eat around lunchtime with my daughter. Cued for a good 10 to 15 mins. Poor girl on the counter on her own taking orders and sorting drinks. Just as I got to the till there appeared to be a problem with the toilets so no hot food orders were being taken. Poor girl was mithered to death. Trays were building up in trolley and tables weren't that clean. Come on management it needs sorting instead of leaving it to young girls to run.

We called In for coffee with in laws, service was absolutely awful. Wouldn’t want to mention ladies name but she was dreadful. Lovely lady but way too slow for a cafe. We stood behind someone she new and she stood there ages talking about one thing of another, then after so long then decided to order and still talking. No consideration to those waiting. It was very painful. She seems to do this every time we there. The queue was endless. Just a coffee can take to long. We now go to Morrison’s instead.

Been here a few times over the last year when visiting an elderly relative close by. Handy place for a pit stop, just out of town, easy free parking. It can get quite busy and sometimes tables not cleared (self service clearing) also resulting in dirty tables. Staff usually seem quite friendly and helpful, but quite a busy place for staff it seems. Just had a coffee on this occasion. Good value food and drink.

The views from the Café are beautiful and the staff extremely helpful. Unfortunately at 2.00pm on a Saturday afternoon, there was very little left. Having requested 4 items on the menu, all were 'sold out'. When we were served, food wasn't hot and bland. Very disappointed. The Café in Sainsburys. Biddulph is much better. Next time we will use the pub next to the supermarket.

We eat here every week sometimes on more than one occasion. The food is gorgeous always the same standard. We see many regular faces in the cafe so this must tell you they are doing something right. A lot of restaurants couldn't compete with the quality of the food and service here. Leek Sainsburys is excellent. We can recommend the fish and chips and butternut squash lasagne but whatever you have its served to a high standards and is lovely and the staff are so friendly and helpful they go out of their way to make sure you get good service and if you need the menu to be adapted they will do this for you without any fuss something the Hanley branch should take on board !! I go here with my mum when I cant be bothered to cook as the food is lovely. I know that the menu is always the same but there is enough choice on the menu to have a bit of variety. The omelettes are fab, I have with a salad and order a portion of children's chips too. The staff come and bring to the table with condiments, then they return a bit later to ask how the meal is (really wanting to take back the sauces), but nice touch anyway. Staff are very friendly. If you like your cuppa strong, ask for an extra tea bag (charge of 15p). They did not use to charge, but after going into the Sainsbury cafe near Stockport and being charged, I had a moan and said 'Denton don't charge you'-----the staff there must have phoned through to Denton and told them they should be charging!! LOL Oh and they open till around 7.30pm !!!

Standard Sainsbury's fare food-wise but it's the staff and view that make this cafe worth a visit. The young man who served me couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful and made a really lovely cup of hot chocolate. I have visited various times now whilst passing through as prefer Leek Sainsbury's to my local one. I have been into the cafe on a few occasions, whilst your standard supermarket cafe the staff are great, always attentive to any needs and nothing is too much of a problem for them. The service was fantastic and quick, and the latte I had was made extra special with a leaf pattern on the top, something I will remember as it is unique and I haven't seen this before. Will definitely recommend to anyone as I have never had bad food or coffee and the view on a nice day is just simply stunning.

We have called here a number of times and this place is ok on value, easy on the eye with the view but all in all its a supermarket cafe so don't go expecting anything other than the standard menu of one. It serves the purpose well and the staff have mostly been good, I have called a couple of times and it must have been on of those days for a couple of them. All in all there are better places to dine out in leek but if you are shopping and just want a quick bite, you could do worse.

This cafe is situated upstairs and can be accessed via a lift. The food and drink on offer is straight forward cafe fare that you might expect in a supermarket cafe. The staff are friendly and cheery and the place has a generally good feel. A bonus is the view out over the fields which must be one of the best from any Sainsbury's, or for that matter any supermarket at all.My only complaint is that I feel that the tables could be kept a little cleaner. Apart from taking away 'the empties' the table tops can also be a little sticky in places. So top tip is to pick up enough napkins to clean it yourself.

Supermarket cafes are often a convenient place for a bite to eat. The menu choices and the standard of food here is really no better and no worse than many other such establishments. All quite acceptable, but not exceptional. What makes Sainsbury's stand out for us in the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. It is a delight to be there and to be treated like a valued customer for whom nothing is too much trouble. We visit every couple of months and it is always the same even though we do not always see the same staff. These ladies and gents deserve a bonus!

We enjoy adding the café to our Leek shopping visits (travel 25 miles to get there). The place is always clean, the choices are enough not to baffle, the prices are very reasonable. The big plus is the view of the Peak District hills, beyond the very ample car park. See photo. Only niggle - no Vodafone signal (not of course Sainsbury's fault) and no wi-fi, which Customer Services assured me is rolling out nationwide very soon.

We had not been to The Wheel for quite a while so decided to walk up and have tea. This is a lovely, old school traditional pub. The food was really good. The menu is exactly as you'd expect from a decent pub. Nothing fancy, no pages and pages to read through so you can't see the wood for the trees, just a good menu of real food at excellent prices. My husband had the lamb shank in red wine special and I had scampi. Portions were a good size and we both really enjoyed it. As it is such excellent value I am sure we will be back.

Service is very slow. Fish and chips mediocre. Chips were salty and underdone and tepid but didn't complain as no one came to check and we waited about 45 mins for the food. One fish was good the other was hard at the end. Mini puddings and tea were nice and server was friendly. Also thought expensive but you can get lunch deals but not on Friday when we went. Ambience is nice but we won't return.
