Easy access, and a good selection of items....has an Argos store as a bonus within the main store. However, the tills and staff are not as fast, or enthusiastic as say Tesco's

Good store with integrated Argos, large car park, generally able to find a space. Wide range of goods stocked, and some very good Nectar offers

Visit weekly, on a weekday around 5pm and shopping, for someone that hates food shopping, is a breeze. Store is quiet and it's all hassle free. Good selection of everything you could want. Friendly helpful staff.

Very competitive prices, usually one of the best value for money in the local area. Pay at pump saves time. Plus get extra points on Nectar loyalty card. Clean and tidy forecourt.

Always has the necessary items in my shop, but not necessarily in the right place, they seem to delight in shifting things around. If other customers are like me they don't bother searching they go elsewhere for items that are "hidden" by moving!

Always get what we need lovely plants today. New dress and some lovely bread today.

Noticeably dearer with less till staff as my wife expeirenced 3 till closures causing her (and others) to wait over 12 minutes to pay

If You go early, it's all self service machines....which if getting a small amount is ok but more tricky if You getting lots of shopping.....

It's a supermarket where largely you serve yourself and if you use self-scan will probably have no interaction with staff. Sad in a way as a nice chat is always welcome. Overall though, they sell groceries and if you need groceries then this will fulfill your needs.

Very expensive getting worse by the day always running out of stuff, bakery very unreliable, barely any counter staff and slow to serve this company is giving poorer and poorer services all the time probably the most expensive store in the area apart from M&s in high street

Needs more staff and better management , spent 20 minutes for a basket check on fast lane, 1 member of staff doing about 18 checkouts on fast lane most flashing red, kept doing our basket check and then wandering of to help other customers, then she could not do our coupon, by now shopping defrosted nearly, so I tried to speak to the manager, was told now one knew their name, Claire was asked but refused to pass on name of manager, finally found out she was called Vicky waited another 10 minutes and she did not even bother to turn up, sainsbury need to sort this out or lose customers lot of people we're complaining and waiting ages, not recommend this store at all I spoke to customer services on the phone and got offered 1000 points which is £5 for my 30 minutes inconvenience which is not even minimum wage. Come on Sainsburys a big company like yours should have done better than this.

It's another sainsburys a lot bigger section of clothes than most...especially women's (not my thing personally but it keeps the wife happy). For us blokes what makes it different...it has a roof top carpark! So gets 4 stars for that alone 😯😆

The cafe' in Sainsbury's is great. I had fish and chips and it was lovely. My score for the staff and food is 9 💯

Love the store. It's big, light and plenty of room. Staff on the fast tills are super nice. Lots of choice. Shame all of it is so expensive. If you've not been hit by the cost of living crisis, I recommend shopping here.

This is a large well stocked Sainsburys with a wide range of groceries, clothes, toys as well as being colocated with a Homebase. There is ample parking and a filling station.

Shame about removing the changing room. I now don't bother buying clothes, as its a hassle to come back return them. Not enough staff on tills, always long queues.

This Sainsbury's is large, has a lot of easy to use parking, the produce is fresh and hasn't perished by being over chilled (over chilling is when the item is almost frozen, so when you buy produce like carrots, tomatoes, watermelons, etc they perish within a week or 2 and the flavour is missing, fortunately Sainsbury's doesn't tend to do this). However, the main issues are; * There are barely any staffed checkouts open and the self-service express lanes are not suitable for large trolleys, so the big shoppers must be going elsewhere. * Items are moved around a lot so you will need to search for items that you commonly buy, this is also confusing for the staff, because they say it was here but I will need to check if it's been moved or not in stock. * Food allergy/intolerant products are moved around and often put into standard product areas while being removed from food intolerant areas. I understand that this is for marketing purposes, so that people can try other products but genuine food allergies/intolerances don't allow for products containing restricted ingredients. You can advertise it in other in-store locations, but please ensure that it's duplicated into the free from areas.

Always friendly staff. Wait times can be a bit bad because of constant pumps out of fuel.

It's a sainsbury.. toilets weren't the cleanest upon visiting.

Quite a large range of free from, I used the app so no waiting around when it was busy, sheens were well stocked

Just spend £162 plus on weekly shop then left the store to return home, and unfortunately encountered a bad driver working for Sainsburys who doesn’t know that you give way to drivers on your right on roundabouts , having tooted him he pulled side me as me why I had tooted so I mentioned that he should give way to drivers on his right. All he could muster was ‘twat’ , obviously Sainsburys at their best diplomatically , customer service no exists. Obviously forgotten customers have a choice of who we do business with!

Sainsburys is really good apart from lack of staff to man more tills.

It's a Sainsbury's so you know what to expect. Good car parking as has raised roof parking at rear. Shame they dropped dressing rooms as found these useful. As usual in line with other supermarkets not enough main tills open so forced through self checkout area which is not ideal if you have lots. For me their clothes fit well so go more often for clothes.

I've been really impressed with my experiences at this Sainsbury's location. The handheld scanning option has made my shopping trips so much more efficient and enjoyable. It's incredibly convenient to scan items as I go and keep track of my total spend. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and the store is well-stocked with a great selection of products. Highly recommend this Sainsbury's and it’s now my regular weekly place to shop.

I really needed to speak to someone about picking up my click and collect! The phone system is insane I had to call about 7 times before I spoke to someone; they were in India ffs I will avoid Sainsbury from now on; disgusting!

If you like expensive products and long queues at the tills, this is the place for you!

Badly run store. Far better to go up the road to Basildon.

Stock can be hit and miss sometimes, not enough staff to cater for those having difficulty at smart and self checkout. Dual pricing on nectar can be off putting

Stock a large range of products, food, clothes, some electrical, nice store, argos are now in store, it's got a new cafe that sells a small range of meals and drinks

Big supermarket. Shop has had a bit of a change around, but same products on sale, just hit by the clothes section now as soon as you walk in. Friday at 8 not a great time to shop. Not much on fresh produce aisle. 4/10/23 good deals with Nectar card atm, certainly on Spirits.

Clean, but just really annoying that they never ever have enough people on the tills. It's so much longer queues than Aldi and this is really putting me off from coming here.

As in area we popped in to get dinner. I also wanted to get a pair of jeans. Unfortunately they had very few styles and sizes, so I got nothing. Toilets could do with a deep clean!

VERY disappointed.. went in on Sunday at 3.10 .. just a few bits 7 items . Made it 2 check out by 3 45 .. till add closed sign but still operating. . Rude lady on till said I close at 4

Normally enjoy going to the cafe inside sainsbury s , rayleigh weir but omg today , 18.01.24 its was as cold inside the cafe as outside , food got cold extremely quick after being served .to us . So many other customers were also complaining of the cold and cold food . Really disappointed.

Staff on tills and shop floor are very good, however the till staff must be at breaking point. There were only two proper tills open with queues trailing up the isles. Everything seems to be concentrated on self serve. I think the manager needs to recognise that people want proper checkouts, and if they don’t start getting it at this store they will take their custom elsewhere

Good parking. Just popped in at the last minute for a pair of jeans! They saved my night out. Some good 'Martin Kemp' range of mens clothes for us older ones!

Efficient and had all I was after

Normally don't do reviews but was made to feel like a criminal by security here for entering the store in my work clothes (body warmer and hat) sorry but it's freezing outside.... eyed up and down by woman security upon entering, didn't have what I actually wanted in store so I left empty handed which wasnt happy about, and of course walking out with nothing, you guessed it.. questioned by security in a rude manner and given dirty looks after I explained they didn't have what I wanted, normally shop in here weekly to and from work and even have weekly deliveries to home but shame that this particular security woman is a jobsworth.

Only used the cafe's 25 minutes to get 2 sandwiches and 2 tepid coffees

Manically busy on Saturdays but great products, well presented helpful staff and nice wide aisles. Always competitive prices and even more so when you consider the fact you receive Nectar Points with every shop. The upstairs car park has now reopened to customers with access to the store via 2 lifts. We have recently tried a couple of the other well-known supermarkets and while the level of service may not be as good and there may not be as many staff, prices are considerably cheaper. Sainsbury's are going to have to somehow become more competitive or the lure of cheaper prices will pull customers to their rivals. Based purely on prices I've decided to reduce my rating to 4 ****.

Good more food on the shelves than other Sainsbury's. Still very expensive with Nectar card. No in store Bread today as machinery broke. Need more tills opened not a fan of self service.

This is a good sainsburys on the whole great range of products, easy location. I'm updating a review where I had really struggled while the cafe was closed with my toddler. There are now multiple! We didn't dine but look forward to in future.

Massive range, very clean tidy and well stocked

Pisses me off the level of service you get these days, ever since covid waitresses wont even bring you sugar for your coffee. Your entire job is literally to serve me & you dont even do that properly. Also the woman at the cashier is hella rude like her husband left her for something of lesser weight, more attractive and younger, but who knows… On top of that the latte taste disgusting, the breakfast is tasteless and very very overpriced, i will NEVER be coming back here, thats the only guarantee

Had a good shop today. Good prices with nectar card. Saved £6 on Gordons Gin, 1Ltr having nectar card and over £11 saved on Ltr of Baileys. Bargain.

This is one of the bigger stores so you can go simply for bread and milk and go home with a new outfit or six, new hallway lights and a flatscreen TV! (Trust me, that happened, and i forgot the bread!) Still it's clean and easy to park at with friendly staff too.

A wide range of products with lots of price options. The staff are always helpful even when they are busy stocking shelves. One niggle is the carts they use to restock are so wide they can block an Isle.

It would as always get five stars but the lack of till staff and Sainsbury’s relentlessly trying to get us all to smart shop is infuriating. After fifty years as a loyal customer I feel soon I must look for an alternative store which has tills and till staff.

Not much on the shelves the scanners was down again. Very disappointed in the store I'm afraid not visiting that store again I'll go to SWF one.

The cafe in this Sainsbury’s is very good but the older lady behind the counter is rude, stuck up and talks about customers could hear her judging me from the other side room once I sat down, not professional for a first time visit only asked about a breakfast option Ham,egg and chips that you can have abroad worth asking??? the younger girl is friendly and the coffee is decent though. Visited half 8 this morning. Have a word with the older lady don’t like drama but was there any need??

Average supermarket but always seems to be busy around the tills as a majority are closed every time I go in. This store has a much nicer environment than Rayleigh Asda, it's much cleaner and not full of clutter and rubbish like Asda is. Stock levels seemed pretty good so was able to get everything that I wanted
