We went tonight just to look at the Christmas range. We were quite impressed as some on offer with nectar card. I would like to mention the lady in the bread aisle her name, apologies if spelt wrong sultana. She was a delight,cheerful & had great service with a smile. We also felt impressed with the young man who was cleaning the till area. The tills were clean, no grime on scanner. We go other places & never see people cleaning when quiet. So overall was a good shopping experience & we were impressed with staff working. Hopefully a manager will read & know their staff working hard.

I purchased everything on my shopping list. The only complaint I have is that I fancied a little snack on the way out .... £3 minimum spend on a bite size snack isn't what I'm willing to spend. Tesco has a snack size pack with apple slices, grapes, and a cheese portion for under £2.

Large supermarket. There are 2 carparks. The one in front of the store, which is usually busy and one on the roof, located up the ramp to the side of the store. Found the shopping to be more expensive than my usual supermarket and did not enjoy some of the own brand products that I would usually purchase from other supermarkets.

Visited here around 8pm at night and not one manned till open, asked for a staff member to open till and they said "there's only two of us on the shop floor, you'll have to use self service", this is appalling. Sainsbury's needs to start putting more staff on the shop floor, keeping tills open until it closes, not a happy customer!

I have been shopping at the Rayleigh Weir store for over 30 years but as loyal customer I’ve had enough. On a Friday afternoon there were two tills open with huge queues weaving into aisles. Customers arguing because they felt people were pushing in. I do not want to use self service tills for a large shop. Today the self service tills had numerous customers waiting with red lights flashing awaiting assistance or overrides. Employ more staff to operate the tills!!! With so many tills removed now in general I dread to think what it will be like at Xmas. I am taking my custom elsewhere!!

I calculated every price of every item we bought as we went along. I even took into account every Nectar sticker and I meticulously made sure that each sticker corresponded to each item. At the checkout till, the price came to more than the total I had calculated. And, no, we didn't buy bags. The cashier didn't know what to say, but it's obvious that the prices on the shelves do not match what's on the system. Be vigilant, and make sure you write down the items and their prices as you go along.

It's a supermarket where largely you serve yourself and if you use self-scan will probably have no interaction with staff. Sad in a way as a nice chat is always welcome. Overall though, they sell groceries and if you need groceries then this will fulfill your needs.

Needs more staff and better management , spent 20 minutes for a basket check on fast lane, 1 member of staff doing about 18 checkouts on fast lane most flashing red, kept doing our basket check and then wandering of to help other customers, then she could not do our coupon, by now shopping defrosted nearly, so I tried to speak to the manager, was told now one knew their name, Claire was asked but refused to pass on name of manager, finally found out she was called Vicky waited another 10 minutes and she did not even bother to turn up, sainsbury need to sort this out or lose customers lot of people we're complaining and waiting ages, not recommend this store at all I spoke to customer services on the phone and got offered 1000 points which is £5 for my 30 minutes inconvenience which is not even minimum wage. Come on Sainsburys a big company like yours should have done better than this.

This Sainsbury's is large, has a lot of easy to use parking, the produce is fresh and hasn't perished by being over chilled (over chilling is when the item is almost frozen, so when you buy produce like carrots, tomatoes, watermelons, etc they perish within a week or 2 and the flavour is missing, fortunately Sainsbury's doesn't tend to do this). However, the main issues are; * There are barely any staffed checkouts open and the self-service express lanes are not suitable for large trolleys, so the big shoppers must be going elsewhere. * Items are moved around a lot so you will need to search for items that you commonly buy, this is also confusing for the staff, because they say it was here but I will need to check if it's been moved or not in stock. * Food allergy/intolerant products are moved around and often put into standard product areas while being removed from food intolerant areas. I understand that this is for marketing purposes, so that people can try other products but genuine food allergies/intolerances don't allow for products containing restricted ingredients. You can advertise it in other in-store locations, but please ensure that it's duplicated into the free from areas.

Just spend £162 plus on weekly shop then left the store to return home, and unfortunately encountered a bad driver working for Sainsburys who doesn’t know that you give way to drivers on your right on roundabouts , having tooted him he pulled side me as me why I had tooted so I mentioned that he should give way to drivers on his right. All he could muster was ‘twat’ , obviously Sainsburys at their best diplomatically , customer service no exists. Obviously forgotten customers have a choice of who we do business with!

It's a Sainsbury's so you know what to expect. Good car parking as has raised roof parking at rear. Shame they dropped dressing rooms as found these useful. As usual in line with other supermarkets not enough main tills open so forced through self checkout area which is not ideal if you have lots. For me their clothes fit well so go more often for clothes.

I've been really impressed with my experiences at this Sainsbury's location. The handheld scanning option has made my shopping trips so much more efficient and enjoyable. It's incredibly convenient to scan items as I go and keep track of my total spend. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and the store is well-stocked with a great selection of products. Highly recommend this Sainsbury's and it’s now my regular weekly place to shop.

Staff on tills and shop floor are very good, however the till staff must be at breaking point. There were only two proper tills open with queues trailing up the isles. Everything seems to be concentrated on self serve. I think the manager needs to recognise that people want proper checkouts, and if they don’t start getting it at this store they will take their custom elsewhere

Ordered tonight waited a hour and was cold when came, then when they sent a replacement out it was cold again, sales looked old and meat was very bad quality. Suck a shame as used to be my go to for kebab and pizza. Never again
