Pizza 38 in Castle Point

Ordered tonight waited a hour and was cold when came, then when they sent a replacement out it was cold again, sales looked old and meat was very bad quality. Suck a shame as used to be my go to for kebab and pizza. Never again

In the last few weeks this place has really gone downhill. Went in and ordered. Had almost 30 minutes wait. When got home the kebab was tasteless and missing the chilli sauce. Used to be really good. Hopefully they sort themselves out.

I dont often like to leave reviews unless its astonishingly good or astonishingly bad but i thought there needs to be improvement here. The food is often really tasty especially there pizzas, however my gripe is that the last 4 times i have ordeed there have been many missing items. Most often chips or drinks are missing however on 2 occassions have whole 12 inch pizzas been missed off small orders. I am hoping that my mere review will be acknowledged by the owner of this restaurant and that neccessary changes are made to ensure that staff take some more pride in their due diligence. Also try to avoid using just eat where possible, needless to say just eat are terrible. For future customers who may read this i would like to say that the food is mostly good just be prepared to check your order and dont be afraid to call the restaurant to fix any order mistakes.

Pizza's are lovely but kebabs have really gone down hill. Hot sauce is bland with hardly any salad. Pitta bread goes very soggy when it gets delivered so must be sitting around a while.

Waited ages for the food Hot wings were full of some kind of crusty batter wings weren't hot or spicy staff were having some kind of argument Kebab had a funny texture to it and tasted disgusting the only thing edible were the chips total waste of money Never again

Food was lovely, we had pizza and chips - our little boy had nuggets and chips. Food took 1 hour and 25 mins to arrive which was longer than the estimate and our chips were missing once the order arrive but the restaurant did send them after we called to let them know

Normally ordering is fine and the food is good, but today I have been left waiting two hours and fifty minutes for my food, whenever I ring they had no idea what was happening with my food, ended up just asking for a refund. Ordered through foodhub and honestly I am not ordering from here again, I'm gonna stick to Cosmos further down the island.

Took 1 hour 40 minutes to come and the order was wrong and undercooked and slimy last time we order thanks

Veggie burger does not match description or look remotely like the image advertised on the website. Its actually just a potato cake with a dashing of veggies. Definitely not a burger. Grilled veggies was just loads of bitter green peppers and a about two mushrooms with a little red onion. Not worth the money in my opinion. My mum spent a fair amount of money on my meal and all I could eat was the potato cake out of the bun because who wants a potato burger, two mushrooms and some onion rings. It's a rip off really!

That was the worst kebab I have ever had the meet was burnt I think I should get my money back

Came down to Pizza 38 this evening. Fast service. Modern and clean look inside. Nice staff and people on the desk. Fast service, waited 5-10 minutes and food was hot and ready. Large menu variety, we had kebabs. Still hot when we walked home (at least 15+ minutes away.) Tasty and meaty kebab, perfect quality and a perfect quantity. Will be returning!

Literally not had a bad meal..the last one was abit stingey with the portions but the food is always amazing

We tried various kebabs on Canvey and we like this one the most. The kebab we got yesterday was more than divine. The sauces were already on the meat which was a big plus as we didn't like the little pots with sauces and the meat as well as the salads were amazing. THANK YOU 😊

Tried this place last night on a recommendation....We had their ham and pineapple pizza and it was absolutely the best pizza we have ever eaten !! 5 stars from us and we will defo be coming back 🤩🤩

I just want to say that I ordered a pizza from these guys tonight. It was honestly one of the best pizzas I've had in a long while. Full of juicy flavour. Toppings were spot on. Enjoyed every slice. Will definitely ordered again. Came via just eat in under half an hour. Thanks so much guys.

I’ve had the lamb and chicken Shish kebab a few times from pizza 38 and it’s really good. Will definitely order from here again.

Lovely food. Been ordering from here a while now so decided now was a good time to leave feedback. Never had a bad experience, staff are friendly food is always hot and arrives in good time.

Food from here is normally really good however I ordered a chicken lamb kebab . It was discusting very slimy and bland so in the bin it went. Very disappointing

Ordered two kebabs at 17.57 pm 19.50 pm still not arrived can only think kebabs are walking around the island and got lost . Needless to say that we cancelled the order won't order from there ever again absolute shambles .

Have to make a bold statement here but honestly the chicken kebab has to be the best I've ever had and at 47 years old that's a compliment 10 out of 10 guys

I used to love chicken wings and chips from this shop but now they only do spicy ones with does not say on menu not happy at all.

Was hit and miss before the recent refit, but now seems much better. The appearance and quality of the food on offer now, is by far the best I have tried on Canvey in recent times. Provided they don't allow their new higher standards to drop, I won't go anywhere else for kebab or pizza on Canvey.

I really like this takeaway. the food is always delicious. the only concern I had was that I was the only one wearing a face mask. the sign on the door said that you must wear a face mask when entering. I was the only one wearing one. no other customers or the members of staff were one. odd!

I've just had my 1st pizza from pizza 38 delicious, I use them regularly for kebabs and they are yummy too. Chicken doner especially. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Food was cold. We ordered cheese cake but it was like a load of mush by the time it came as it had been dropped or thrown about in the box that was too big and into a carrier bag..spent £30...not happy. Not usualy like that from this shop

Waited and hour n half for food. Actually delivered at 9pm Had to be re-heated also. Regular customer never usually this bad.

The pizza and chicken we ordered were fabulous.! But the service was bad as they forgot to deliver the chips which was ordered. After calling the restaurant the chips were delivered half an hour later, which was horrible and seemed to be reheated and given just for the sake of it. Was not a mistake accepting service. By this behaviour the good reputation may also go bad.

Although pizza was delicious it was not delivered until 7.50 pm. I tried calling the shop but it was engaged at all times. Being a Friday night I realise that you were busy. Thank you I would use your service again

Usually order by phone and talk to them with no problems but ordering through just eat took a hour and half for food to be delivered

25 minute delay to food delivery with no communication. Telephone picked up but not answered by service. I had to wait for an answer. The lady that answered didn't say she was from the service and I thought I rang a wrong number. When food was delivered, I was not greeted . Food was just dumped in my hands... not even am apology for lateness, and no alternative e.g. money off order.

Arrived quick, food remained hot through to the last mouthful, tasty.

Really big portions and arrived piping hot, everyone enjoyed. A new favourite !

38 Kebab special - excellent value and very yummy!!

Always order from here and never usually have any problems but the last couple of times have noticed our orders are incomplete and when we point this out it's still not corrected. I Ordered two kids pizza meals that are meant to come with chips and a drink and a portion of cheesy chips when my order arrived it was minus half the kids meals (chips and drinks weren't in the bag) delivery driver was very apologetic and within 10 minutes brought a bag of drinks back with one extra inside for the inconvenience but still minus the kids chips!! By this point it was getting late and kids had finished their pizzas by the time he came back with the drinks never received any money back for what we didn't receive either . In future make sure the orders are complete before sending them out won't be ordering from here again unfortunately

Lovely food but my god do they take the mick with delivery! We are 2 minutes down the road yet it took 90 minutes for us to receive our order! I think they play on the fact you have already paid so feel they can take as long as they want! Won't be using again which is a shame as the food is spot on

Food was delivered fast which I was happy with. Just a shame that my pizza was burnt, to the point where you could not eat the crusts. Would also like to point out the poor dough quality. Just disappointed as I order pizza every Sunday from different places and this one was the worst one I've tried one canvey. Oh well lesson learned. Didn't call up to complain as i was getting my son to sleep. 3/4 of it has gone in the bin.

Food was on time piping hot and are the amendments I asked for only order from here the fried chicken is amazing and the chicken burgers are proper chicken fillet not chopped and shaped like other places yum yum yum 😍😍😍 but please send out menus with deliveries I always ask for one but never get it
