Very nice . Enjoyed everything about the evening except my tandoori cane with no salad don't know if they just forgot. Everything else was great.

Had take away which was tasty but very expensive. Elsewhere I usually pay £27 here it was £34 it was nice but not that nice!

Lamb meat in my Lamb Rogan was aweful. Although the rice was edible, it was in my worse top 5. It was so bad I didn't complain as Ill just avoid the place. The service on ordering and delivery was excellent, very pleasant staff, but the food was disappointing.

So sad to say this was one of the best restaurants on canvey island for indian food. The service was appalling. Got there at 6.30 starters arrived 7.20 main dishs arrived 8.44. Food was nice but service was terrible. More commitment by staff concentrating on the take a ways.

Honestly last night was THE WORST SERVICE AND THE WORST FOOD I think I've ever had. We have been to this place a few times and the food has been good but last night was appalling, our server didn't know if he was coming or going we asked him several times to take our order and he forgot, we had to tell him our drink order several times which was as simple as 4 cokes. Starters - poppadoms these were stale and chewy Starter we had chicked chat on puree (all of us) this was the best bit of the meal but the bread was dry This is where it gets worse We then asked for another round of drinks ...4 cokes the staff member picks up our glasses puts his fingers inside the glass then 5 mins later brings back the same 4 glasses (how do I know you might ask he took away 3 plain glasses and one "green king" glass which was mine) he puts them back on the table after his hands had been in them re full of coke again. The mains came out we thought ok something to look forward to ........ well first dish served colour red chicken tikka masala and he put his thumb in the dish when serving it which he then took out and put into every other dish on the table including the rice so every dish had had his thumb in it with a variety of sauces and flavours. He then proceeds to pour all of 1 of the peoples food onto their plate without them asking him too so that he could clean the dishes away. All 4 of us have had funny stomach's since last night so I can only assume this is down to poor hygiene from our server. and for those that think its because they were busy there was only 4 tables with people on them groups of 4 or 5 which for a Friday night isnt alot at all. We will not be going back which is a shame as the first couple of times were ok

The best Indian food we have eaten in a long while, beautifully cooked from fresh Ingredients and very good sized portions. The staff were friendly and are obviously proud of their restaurant. Will definately visit again.

Had a takeaway from here this evening it was really delicious. Tasty and hot you could tell it was just cooked. Everything about the meal was really good. Will definitely order again.

Good takeaway food quality excelkent

Kushi has become my go to favourite place to order a takeaway. The food is always amazing, it arrives on time and it’s reasonably priced and not many places are these days. This evening we decided to visit the restaurant and had the best time. Sean and the rest of the team looked after everyone so well and made the whole restaurant feel at home, while enjoying their food. Amazing atmosphere I will carry on recommending this place. Thanks again Sean and the rest of the staff.

had a delivery this evening and had our garlic nann missing + pilau rice they came back with garlic nann + no rice + nann was stone cold came back again with with rice + nann hence rice + nann was too late to go with my chicken korma said how sorry they were + problems in the kitchen i am sorry too that we did not enjoy our meal + will not be ordering again it is the first time we have used them

Ordered takeaway but was not happy at all the food was piping hot But the quality of the food we ordered was terrible in colour and was not good to look at Phoned and told them But they were good at giving extra curry But to me the second lot they bought Us had no taste ti it I was very dissappointed as I never had any Experience before like that with them They were good with the time

Last minute change of plan following horrible experience at Oyster Fleet. Fab food lovely service and Extremely honest. As I got in a bit of pickle with my debit cards. And paid Twice. They have just refunded me the second charge before I even had a chance to call them. Thanks Guys See you soon And I will bring a bottle of wine.

We have been ordering from Kushi Canvey since it opened and we have always being happy with the service. But not today (15 March). We ordered a takeaway on line around 6:20. It was 7:45 when we called again to find out where our order was, to be told they hadn't received it. We told them that we paid by card and the amount was showing on our bank account (£28.65). They said we could order again but would have to pay for it again and we would have to arrange a refund from our Bank for the first order. Obviously we didn't order again and we won't be ordering again in the future. Really disappointed. In the meantime we are out of pocket and we'll have to chase the refund ourselves. Not good customer service Kushi

Just don't trust a waiter who asks if you can pay in cash and doesn't want to give you a receipt. The food was good but I will not be going back, no way what we had added upto £95.20 should have been 75 tops but the waiter said they were too busy for a receipt. We couldn't be bothered to argue so payed.🤬

Waited over a hour for delivery when it came food was luke warm and the nan bread was missing phoned them up to tell them 30 minutes later the nan bread got delivered very disappointed with the experience

Avoid this place, food ok if you’re prepared to wait lots. Front of house is comedy. Being served by crack heads who just don’t know how to work to any standards at all!

Food is good. But the customer service is very shocking. We waited over 60minutes for our food, which I wouldn't of minded if the restaurant was busy but it wasn't. While waiting for our food different waitresses and waitors were coming over slagging each other off. Saying they were on drugs ect. They leftjus with dirty tables . I just wanted to get out.

Absolutely beautiful food excellent service

Dessert order took over 2 hours to arrive. Waffle was freezing cold and did not come with icecream. The milkshake had spilt into the bag. This was given back to the driver and we didn't even get a call to apologise or offer a refund!

We wanted a take away & not being too familiar with Indian cuisine asked for their advice on various items. They were extremely helpful & the the meal was superb we will have no hesitation in ordering again & will definately recommend them to all our friends & family well done Kushi & thank you for a very enjoyable meal.

We had tried Kushi for the first a few weeks ago and it was nice, however we ordered tonight and the meat (chicken bhuna & kurma) was very chewy and mostly gristle. Sadly both our meals ended up in the recycle food bin. Certainly put a dampner on our 'Lockdown date night' we had planned for!

Very poor service and food below standard, I am never one to complain but given my experience I received it needs to be said. Started with waiting an hour to be asked for our order, followed by not having prawn dishes at all which is ok so I ordered the lamb, which was tough as old boots, my husband ordered a dansak but it was full of sugar it was incredibly sweet. If anyone orders this dish it should not be sweet. The sag paneer was completely not fit for consumption and the sag paneer was the only thing we complained about only to have it slapped on our bill any way. Our experience only gets worse when we was forced pay cash when we didn't have cash on us despite seeing others pay with card. We was forced to go cash point. I'm speechless with the service and poor food and will never be returning again.

Onion salad @ mint sauce were thrown away, as smelt bad. Tikka masala was watery, chicken curry likewise. Complete waste of money, wont be using this place again.

Booked a table for 4 of us,we had to move tables as there was dragonflys near the table area & a spider on the wall behind us.we was asked if we wanted drinks,which we had to wait 20 mins for just 4 cokes,45 mins just for 2 starters & even then,the menu states you get 4 onion bhajis & we was given 3..then waited another 30 mins for our mains to arrive & when they finally did,it wasnt correct so 1 of us had to wait while the others we eating,and this was all while we was the only customers in the restaurant..the lamb curry & lamb bhuna was awful,the meat was chewy,tough & didnt taste like lamb.and for the shocking price of it all we will never be returning & definetly will not be getting it delivered..dissapointing & very bad customer service..

Reviewing the takeaway service We waited an hour and a half for our food after being told the wait was 35 minutes (to be fair, they were busy, but this is still a long time) We collected our food and were given the wrong things twice. We were offered free poppadoms as a goodwill gesture, lucky us...oh and we never did actually get them. The food was edible but not tasty, I think I could have microwaved a Tesco meal and got the same satisfaction. Would have given one star, but gave two for the entertainment. This being the sag paneer, which ended up being korma sauce with a bit of undercooked spinach and three tiny chunks of paneer cheese. Bravo! Photo attached

This is bring your own booze. Soft drinks are sold but are fairly pricey (£3 small Lemonade) so I'd recommend taking that too. Service was very slow on the Saturday we visited, taking an hour between ordering and food coming out. However, once received the food was delicious. If you're happy for a wait, the food is good.

I ordered chicken biryani today the food was delicious we really enjoyed our meal and also there behaviour was very friendly. Highly recommended.

Been here an hour and still waiting for the mains what a joke never again

Last night we had the worst meal at Kushi. We have ordered a lamb Balti and lamb jalfrezi but we have got only some fried onions in sauce with a couple of pieces of meat. When we have asked to waiter his excuse was that main chef was off and washing up has cooked. Never again

Excellent staff and nice food. Service speed could have been better. Went on a Michael Jackson tribute night. The singing wasn't the best, but the atmosphere created was very enjoyable.

As regular customers of the old Anika we were very interested to see the new refurbishments and menu at the Kushi and weren't disappointed on either score. Although mainly black the new decor looked smart and modern and not at all gloomy. Our party of 7 all enjoyed their food (hot and delicious). Mr Shopon was friendly and engaging but obviously wanted an early night (10.10pm) as we felt we we're briskly ushered to the door the moment we'd paid the bill. A rather abrupt ending to an otherwise, thoroughly enjoyable evening. Will we go back? Yes, of course - what's not to like about good food in smart surroundings and being able to take your own 'plonk'!

Have got a takeaway from this place twice now, both have given me unusual toilet paterns which can only be put down to poor food hygiene. If you want to go to the toilet a lot then please eat here. Chicken and lamb were tough and over cooked, never had such dry chicken in a curry.

We went here for my sisters 18th birthday we had great service from Mr shopon and his team. Also the food was lovely and well priced.

Nice food, good, friendly service - slightly expensive though ( approx £22.50 a head - no desserts or coffees with that) considering you take your own alcohol , quite pricey - maybe that's their way of making up for a 'no corkage charge ?)...

Nice decor, reasonable starter. Uneatable main course. Lamb tougher than old boots.
