First time went there very very helpful and staff I am Disabled wife in wheelchair helped to table and excellent service highly Recommend child allowed and jewellery looked after. Brian.

Disgusting menus and dirty cutlery

I took 6 people for Sunday lunch and forgot to put my car reg in the computer I have been chased by ticket enforcement companies that have sent threatening letters I have been in to the restaurant and the manager could not do anything about it as I paid in cash for the meal and have not kept the receipt so I have no proof of being in the restaurant I must say that the food wasn’t that great either at the Tarpots Restaurant I go to a harvester every week and this one is not up to their usual standards

The food was served very quickly. It was well presented and tasted very good. The staff were very friendly and our waitress Donna was lovely and very nice towards our children. Would happily come back.

Went there sunday 7th July2024 I was the only one at the bar waiting to be served for a few minutes, my partner came in walked to the bar I said hello turned back around someone else was being served , I said I was next he said you were greeting your partner plus the part of the bar I was at was not for drinks but ordering food , even though the customer being served before me was ordering food from other end of the bar , I told him there wasn't anything stating this , so think he was making rules up for whatever reason that really doesn't make sense , just a bad attitude by this bar man . I decided to leave there &then .Ive been there quite a few times & always spend quite a bit of money but if that's how I'm going to be treated I'd rather spend my money where I'm being treated fairly & decently . Don't think I'll ever set foot in there again . Hope that this barman gets to understand that it's not his job to be this way but to treat customers properly as that's what he's there for & he's not the owner but making the takings behind the bar plus restaurant go down if that's his attitude towards people

Salad Bars a massive draw, foods always spot on.

Visited 2 days ago. Had rib eye steak, (a first for me there) which was very nice & cooked exactly how I like it. The whole dish was lovely. Staff very helpful & told us about the 40% discount offer. Nice decor & surroundings. However, this is the 3rd occasion that I have been there where I, or others in my group, have had the steak, chicken & prawn dish. On each occasion the steak has been tough and chewy. It has been raised with the waitressers but nothing seems to change & they still keep churning out the same tough, chewy steaks!

What a fantasic place to eat the service was exceptional the guy that served us was william professional polite and courteous what a lovely young man manners were outstanding 👏 he's a credit to your company as a whole thankyou william you made our stay lovely nothing was too much trouble 😀

Refurbished since my last visit, nicely decorated, went for an early lunch not overly busy, filthy unclean. Carpet never hovered. Service was sooooo slow it was unreal. Wouldn’t attend again. Food mediocre at best.

I didn't expect fine dining but I did expect food that was edible. I ordered the Ribeye £23.99. When the meal come the battered onion was the size of a 20p piece, mushroom size of a 10p and the rice straight out of a packet, dry and tasteless. As for the Ribeye I expected a great flavour due to that particular cut of meat yet was completely tasteless, which clearly hadn't been seasoned and cooked badly for medium rare. Again I wasn't expecting fine dining but was expecting something slightly better than weatherspoons, yet I was wrong.

Visited the Tarpots Harvester for a late lunch. The service was excellent, as expected. The food was also excellent and cooked to perfection. My wife had the halumi while I had the rib eye steak. It was the best steak I have had in a long time, and I've had many, It was succulent, tasty, and a nice thickness to get your teeth in. A great cut of meat. Thank you IAN for cooking an excellent meal.

We visited with family and had a great experience. Big shout out to Siobhan our waitress who really looked after us and explained everything. Food was good and we will return

Visited on a Saturday evening, it was fairly busy but our waiter William was frequently popping by to ask if we were all ok, the food was really nice and the service was good, I do usually find the Tarpot a pleasant place to eat and are happy to give it 5 stars

We visited Harvester Tarpots over the weekend and must say how friendly and charming our waiter William was that evening. Nothing was too much trouble and he kept us entertained while we waited for our meals. He is a credit to the restaurant and it was a pleasure to meet him, Many thanks

The restaurant is not ready for their collection service - I recently ordered collection using Harvester’s app. The app told me to collect the food at 8pm and despite arriving on time, I endured over half an hour of waiting. There was no one at the front of the house to greet you either and I had to walk to the bar counter to speak to the staff. One member told me that my order was not ready and she will let me know when it is done. I was then left standing by the bar for over half an hour despite every 10 minutes I tried to stop someone to check my order again. I understand the delay can occur but the extent of wait was simply unacceptable. Nobody gave you any update until the manager came to me after a 25 minute wait. She explained that the busy service and some emergency earlier in the kitchen that caused the delay. While I acknowledge that unforeseen circumstances can arise, it is the responsibility of the restaurant to manage such situations promptly and professionally. They could have also updated me earlier rather than half an hour later leaving me standing there like a fool. The burgers we ordered were lukewarm and I suspected some lack of communication in the kitchen or the front of house potentially left the food unattended for some time. The burgers were seasoned well and it is a shame that they didn’t taste their best. I have been eating in different Harvester before and all those visits were pleasant. I regretfully can’t recommend its collection service based on this experience. I may come other time with my family for a dine in experience but until that day, I will leave this review as it is.

The serving staff were great. The food quality has deteriorated over the last few months. We have on a few occasions received burnt inedible food, almost raw meat (including pork and chicken products).

Waitress Donna is always very friendly and welcoming.

Had lunch 2day very nice, service wasn't rushed decor looks cosy pleasant atmosphere .

Unfortunately we were 20 mins late for our booking due to traffic, but we called up to let the venue know and they were understanding and kept our table for us. We had a brilliant meal here for my brothers 43rd birthday. Food was great, especially the ribs! Service was fantastic, Siobhan was brilliant and very attentive, making sure we were always topped up when needed and had pudding menus. Really good with dietary and allergen requirements. Our new favourite place.

Had nice meal also had a voucher that gave us 25 percent of meal which helps alot in these difficult times will return in future

Waitress Donna was excellent, she explained about Harvester app as not been sure how to use it. Choices for children could have been better, my granddaughter wanted sausages and not on menu. Would of thought this would of been very popular for children. If taking granddaughter for meal again would go somewhere else.

We loved the fresh salad bar being constantly monitored and refreshed. It was also great to see separate utensils for each salad item and no cross contamination. We waited a really long time for drinks and in total our visit was 2 hours, double our normal average stay, however it was Easter Sunday and we did manage to book last minute.

Everything was brilliant and well timed! I think only thing is when taking orders is to slow down and listen to guest so there's no mistakes with order same for chefs when sending out food to double check

The service was great, food came out nice and quickly, was very tasty and reasonably priced.

Booked a table for 10 for a large family gathering. Service good, salad bar was also good but sadly some of the main meals were mediocre at best. My wife and daughter had the halloumi balance bowl, and both were disappointed.

I've found that Harvester can be a little hit and miss depending on location, time of the day and time of year. We visited Taropot recently to celebrate my daughter's birthday with family. We had a wonderful meal, service was prompt and friendly. The meals came out hot and of a good quality. It's evident that the chef on duty had control of the kitchen as when I walked past I noticed him calling for dishes to be served and calling the wait staff when food was under the heat lamp for more than a couple of minutes. It's the first time I've taken notice of the kitchen staff. And the evidence was well cooked, hot food. The salad bar was a little limited, I was particularly disappointed that there was no beetroot 🙁.

Brunch with my husband and the food was exactly what we wanted, cooked well and tasty, well worth the money. We had a lovely waitress Chloe who was very friendly, professional and chatty.

On arrival I was shocked on how long we had to wait to be seated. Staff just walked past and did not acknowledge our entry at all. Once seated service to order our drinks and food was appalling. Salad bar was not topped up but when asked that was not a problem by one of the chefs. Food arrived and both meals were cold, chicken hard and chips had definitely been heated up but gone cold again before served. The corn on the cob looked like it’s had been gnawed on one side. Not one member of staff to be seen to come and check our food was okay. More drinks would of been nice if we had even been asked. When I caught someone’s eye for the bill we did not even get asked if food was okay. I then brought up about the poor quality of the meals and the member of staff wasn’t very apologetic at all. Just said you should of said something. With out a doubt the worse Harvester I have ever been to. Waste of money as the meal was terrible. Never again

Today 28/2/24 we went for a meal at Harvester Tarpots.The food was hot and nicely presented.The Fish, chips and scampi were lovely.The batter was crispy and not at all greasy. The fish was lovely.Chips were crispy and plenty of them. We commented how nice the food was to our server Siobhan,who was very helpful and friendly, and we asked her to pass on the compliments to the two chefs.She did mention their names but we unfortunately forgot to Write them down . We will be booking again soon !

Lovely friendly staff and food was delicious. Only complaint was the music was a bit loud, but maybe I'm just getting old😂

Staff service good at start towards end of male became very rushed our table was cleared before we had even finished our drinks so we lost them they weren't replaced my coat was bundles up and left behind the bar wild we were paying this is my very first visit and will think about whether I want to come again I'm sorry but cannot recommend at this stage

Had lunch there today with my daughter and a friend. Despite being reasonably busy the service was prompt and helpful. The food was good and served hot. Waitresses were lovely, and friendly. Would really recommend and would certainly go again.

Disappointed with the new breakfast menu, taking out the unlimited breakfast so you could pick what you actually like. I don’t eat beans, don’t eat black pudding or mushrooms so I asked for an extra egg and was told you pace to pay extra, asked for some extra toast you have to pay extra for that. So I didn’t have 3 items on the big breakfast and which saves the harvester money and I still get charged the same. Once ordered our food took 50 mins to be cooked and the people that come in a bad order after us was served there food before us.

Came here for the first time, very friendly service and the food was good. Would definitely return if in the area again. One of the staff was sitting down with an elderly couple explaining the menu to them which was nice to see.

Recent refurb has the place feeling clean and fresh. Rather busy on this lunchtime visit so service was as expected but still ok. Eat as much as you like salad cart was very clean and well stocked, the food from the menu was perfect. This is the way to run a chain restaurant.
