Sainsburys in Amber Valley

We used to go for dinner every week when we did our weekly shop and it was good value, good food and excellent staff. HOWEVER, since reopening after Covid it has been turned in to a 'snack' cafe only, no meals. It is abysmal. Apparently the management wanted it to be a Costa kind of place. Well if we wanted Costa we would go to Costa! If we wanted dinner before shopping we went to Sainsburys! Anyhow now we cannot get dinner there we no longer shop there either, so not only have they lost cafe custom, they have also lost shoppers.

The cafe used to be a great place to stop off on the way to the Peak District. As things are opening up at the moment, I though I’d get a cooked breakfast for the first time in over a year. Imagine my disappointment to find the cafe is no more, and it has changed to a coffee shop, with a few mediocre breakfast baps that they heat up. Who on Earth in the management at Sainsburys Ripley thought that was a good idea? I’ll be giving it a miss in future. 0/10.

Not as big or as much choice as some stores, but still able to try something new that day. Staff friendly, store laid out very well. its a shame the covid has ruined some of the shopping experiance.

Husband in 'sheltered group' and receive a letter accordingly yet still cannot get delivery despite what they say on their website. Made a number of phone calls and sent emails also contacted on facebook to no avail and yet the closest supermarket to us

Tried the click and collect service for 1st time ordered last night Arrived at Sainsbury’s on time and registered at the machine Waited ages for someone to arrive By the time somebody arrived (15 minutes)later a que of customers were all so waiting On arrival it was not that what was ordered or the correct number of items though the nice staff member did his best to sort it out All in all much quicker to just go in store and get it yourself

Store management have ruined this Cafe They cut the Staff numbers....then customers waiting a duration to have there meal Customers then show their response by not going in..........results in not being used During our latest visit ... we found Management had come up with another COST CUTTING RUSE..............NO HEATING On the plus side our Breakfast Sandwich's were good value and served in a decent time....well done girls OH YES !!!! 9.30 Saturday morning ....only 6 other people in Cafe

Good food at reasonable prices even warned us of time lapse prior to ordering but good stay of newspapers to pass the time

Called here for a new deep fat fryer and called in the restaurant for lunch We had two different meals Jacket potatoes and coronation chicken with salad and fish and chips Ordered Guillermo and simple quickly delivered by efficient and friendly staff lovely food Free newspapers to read whilst eating spacious tables large car park

Called whilst shopping not that this is my regular place to shop but they keep sending some amazing vouchers Food as expected inexpensive with good choice cooked to order friendly serviceavouchersamazing

Sainbury's! cut the plastic!!! Far too little is being done far too late about reducing plastic. If it's wrapped up unnecessarily - I just won't buy it!!!

Good value meals Breakfast and sausage and mash great. Not high cuisine but good place for nosh. Really quick if you’re in a rush.

Went in with my Grandkids for Breakfast,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,we all enjoyed the devious food that EVENTUALLY arrived there was barely anybody in the cafe ....yet our Food took 30 minutes to arrive Ask the QUESTION ...and the answer is MANAGEMENT HAVE CUT STAFF LEVELS Come on, SAINSBURYS was all about CUSTOMER SERVICE

I always call here for my fuel the cost is always the lowest in the area Very easy access from the bypass and the speed of service is always fast Despite it being very busy at times The supermarket and cafe are good especially as everything is on one level inc the toilets ,the only gripe that I have is that being disabled I always find at least 1 sometime s more of the disabled bays are used by people that are not entitled ie people with children or even if they have a large 4x4 or people carrier .This is common with most supermarket s I’ve visited

Been Sainsburys to get a few things spent over an hour there clothing department is great and to cap it off its got an Argos in store

went in on 2 consecutive Saturday Mornings BOTH times a long wait......40 minutes on the 2nd time HOWEVER the food was FRESHLY COOKED and tasty........Staff extremely friendly When inquired re delay / Staff levels it came down to an OVER ZEALOUS MANAGER CUTTING STAFF LEVELS...

The cafe offers good and healthy food but it lacks variety and it runs out of stock for food listed in the menu. Waiters and waitresses are very friendly. The environment is good. You have plenty of parking spaces and parking is free.

Decent value breakfast cob. All as you would expect from a supermarket cafe. No complaints, spotlessly clean on my visit.

I had hot chocolate and a cake which were reasonably priced and very nice. The staff are very friendly and helped me when I was making my drink. The drinks are mostly self service. Good place to stop after a busy food shop.
