Great range of products and friendly staff. Will recommend to others. Very close to Paignton holiday parks and some might like that it's next McDonald's.

Apalling value £15 for 2 cups of watery coffee and two inedible sandwiches...bread was dry and contents horrible ...decor miserable and staff inadequate - it would be better to just have a coffee machine.....daylight robbery

The decor is boring and It has no ambience. The cakes are unappealing and overpriced. The coffee is bog standard. You only have to visit Marks and Spencer’s cafe at The Willows, Torquay, to see how a cafe should be run. Whoever set up and runs this Sainsbury’s cafe has clearly never bothered.

Wanted to give a shout-out to the wonderful lady on the self service you were rammed and still managed to help everyone with a smile it’s nice to see.

I was looking for an item in-store and stopped a gentleman in uniform to ask where the chestnuts might be. He told me he was, “only a driver” and couldn’t really help, although he looked around and advised me where the fresh ones were. He then also pointed out some colleagues that would be able to help. My husband and I then stopped to look at some items in the next aisle. Before we could make our way to the ladies he had pointed us towards, he had come jogging back up to me with the item I wanted - absolutely not his job and done with such a pleasant attitude. I asked his name as he was just so helpful and friendly. I’m sure nothing would be too much trouble and I hope he is paid very well and appreciated. I have had some dire interactions in that store in the past few years. Ian made up for a lot of them by allowing us such a positive experience and memory to replace the previous annoyance! So, Sainsbury’s Paignton, your driver Ian, greying hair and lovely smile - he is wonderful and made me glad I shop at Sainsbury’s. A real asset to your company. Thanks, Ian! 🚛 ⭐️ Jac (crazy chestnut seeking lady!), and family. Paignton area.

Disappointed. No longer doing breakfasts just packaged rolls ready to re heat. Staff not very helpful but changed whilst there and very friendly as we left.

Hilarious, as in good hilarious btw. Staff were fabulously funny and lovely. They made an average meal a memorable one - and it’s all about the people, right! Sheridan Smith (lookalike) and her sidekick were the perfect matinee mood booster. Our daughter said it was the best iced coffee she’d ever had too. Props to Sainsbury’s. Never thought I’d use that combination of words…

Quite like a Sainsbury’s cafe normally but this one is dreadful. Grotty location, unhelpful and inefficient staff, slow service, orders have been delivered wrong two out of the three times I’ve been.

I wanted a quick lunch and ordered a macaroni cheese. The staff were very pleasant but the food was awful. Watery tasteless macaroni cheese and a portion of limp undressed salad. Probably the worst serving of this type of food I’ve had anywhere.

was served by a nice young girl in the cafe who was very welcoming and pleasant, seemed to handle the stress very well despite the cafe seemingly being fairly low on staff, very good experience

Stopped for breakfast after a long trip to Paignton and found the restaurant friendly and efficient with news papers to fill the time as the order was prepared. Coffee was great and the food did not disappoint. Clean friendly efficient with freshly prepared meals. We did not need any more.

Staying in Paignton and this Sainsburys café was nearby. Went for breakfast. Chose omelette with two fillings - in my case ham and cheese. It came with a Hash Brown and Baked Beans. Really delicious, good size. Due to Sainsburys birthday coffee was just a £1, excellent. On another day had Baked Potato with Coronation Chicken again very good. Yes you do have to wait a while for it to be cooked, but well worth it. Where the café is located is not obvious, usually in other stores it is near/behind the checkouts. This one is at the far end of the store, straight ahead from the entrance.

We called in for a snack. I had a tuna melt and a standard latte. Very nice and the latte was quite big and most importantly, hot. Good service from a very polite young man who obviously enjoys his job. There is a good menu and the fish and chips was extremely popular. Will definitely be back.

So we came to your cafe, I just had to write my experience and I hope it is recognised, came with my two young daughters for treat pizza before we had a long walk, a lady called “allyson” came to our table to say they only had one pizza left, we decided to go for tuna pasta to which my daughter sadly didn’t like, just the attitude from this lady was lovely, nothing was a bother and she tried so hard to put it right - which she did with some lovely buttered toast, a credit to your company that we left with a smile and I left in a better mood than when I had arrived. Thank you Allyson! ( stated on her name badge)

Difficult to find although I am blaming the sat nav yet again, Yalberton Road is NOT for motorhomes. Typical Sainsbury’s plenty of choice, car park spaces a bit on the small side for motor homes

With 6 days in Dartmouth, eating out every night was too much so this well stocked supermarket fit the bill. Even bought an English soccer shirt to wear to the local pub to watch the Three Lions in the World's Cup.

We visit Paignton at least twice a year, we like this cafe because it is clean, the staff are friendly & it offers very good value for money. This time we enjoyed the meat lasagne which comes with chips & garlic bread & fish & chips was comes with either garden or mushy peas. The food arrived quickly & was hot, both meals were very enjoyable. We will be returning.

Ate here one lunchtime from work. with a colleague. I had a cheese and mushroom omelette and it was very nice, if a bit dry. I had it with chips and baked beans and the portion size was good with not too long a wait. The tables are quite small so that was a little bit of a squeeze but overall a nice meal for not much money. Nice choice of drinks and cakes too.

We have eaten here before with no complaints, this visit was the same. You can choose from a varied very reasonably priced menu. As it was lunchtime we had fish n chips & steak n ale pie with mash (chips also available) garden peas & gravy. Our 7 year old daughter had pasta from the kids menu this included a drink & a piece of fruit. Value for money, clean restaurant & very polite staff, we will eat here again.

First of all I start with the positive. The food was lovely that was it. However if you have autism or anxiety don't bother going in here. For me Iike going out to places and keep myself to myself. I will often wear my ear buds or headphones to shut myself off. Interacting with people can be difficult. Obviously I spoke to the lady on the counter who was nice to order food. That bit was fine. I then sat down to keep myself to myself. Fine brought the food put. That was fine. Like I said I then had my headphones on where I prefer not to be interrupted. That's my way of blocking things out. I should be allowed to do that. Not I need to explain this but due to my situation I hate people approaching me when I have something like headphones on. It should a sign or signal to say I don't want to talk at the moment. I hate being caught off guard. So one of the waitresses came over offered to take my plate. I said I'm still using it. I thought I would be left alone after that. Shortly after the "owner" came over and asked the same question. I explained I don't like to be interupted and I was trying to listen to my music. I just thought it would have been obvious I didn't want to talk. I prefer not being bombarded after I have already paid. The "owner" then sacarcastcally apologied "I'm sorry about that love" and said "go somewhere else if you don't like it" which is highly unprofessional. Well he bumped into the wrong person. All I was doing is minding my own business. I have had a lot of things to process and prefer to be quiet at times. As for the "owner" you need to be educated on people with behaviour challenges. Every day its a challenge for someone like me. I then went up to the counter to explain that I'm on the autism spectrum and that I wear headphones to block things out for then for the lady with glasses basically saying first of all its a cafe and a social thing so basically have to interact with people. I then reiterated that I don't have to interact with people and I have my headphones on to basically keep myself to myself. The lady then had the cheeke to turn round and say I didn't have proof like a landyard. Why should advertise who I am. You don't ask that sort of question. Its not my fault people like them aren't educated on hidden disorders. It doesn't surprise me that there is not enough emphasis on this still but it makes me angry! I will not be coming back until it changes hands. Shocking service.

This place is more like a social experience than a café, in keeping the ethos of it's charitable background. We were way out of season and it's fairly well off the main beaches in a bit of a cul de sac of the riviera seafront so we suspect it's all very different in the high season. On New Year's Eve it was more like being invited to a family and friends get together than walking into a commercial establishment - apart from the paying bit obviously, but even that wasn't too painful!

Lovely food for lunch. Was just very shocked when I took my 7 year anniversary of granddaughter to the loo… on the wall were 2 vending machines, both selling ‘sex toys’? I had to answer some questions from her. I do find it hard to understand why the need in a local pub which is geared towards family friendly as there are great outdoor games outside. Very worrying for our young people to think these items are ‘normal’
