Sainsbury's in Stockport

On the whole i enjoy my experience of shopping at Sainsbury's with a coffee as a bonus. But having to bend down to the bottom self when you need paracetamol for a bad back is not well thought out. Surely that could be improved upon.

I was returning a pair of leggings due to a faulty issue, where I was abused verbally by the women behind the customer service, being extremely personal. I feel Sainsbery’s has reduced their standards below any other retailer. On that note I shall take my weekly shopping elsewhere, not to be abused by their staff.

Experience soiled by the presence of a man in a dressing gown and no trousers, not challenged by staff!! Tried to avoid him as best as I could. Is this company living in an ethics vacuum? But of course it is, just look at their profit margin. Extraordinary as there were children in the store at the time. But hey, you know your place, just suck it up and do your bit for the 0.01 percent.

Had a Breakfast here last week, I found the staff to be very polite and friendly, two in particular, "Kelly" and "Maxine" I wish there were more staff like these two, I will go back for the food and also atmosphere x

Visit to the cafe with my mum for toastie and tea. Staff serving were rude no one smiles and the woman who served us spoke so rudely to other customers and staff

If I could give zero I would. Very long wait. Rude staff. Terrible food. This place was so much better during lockdown. It was shut!!

Always had a great hot & tasty breakfast at this Sainsbury’s Cafe. Typical breakfast cafe menu. All cooked hot to order so a very short edit but was worth it as piping hot. Enjoyed avocado on sourdough toast & partner had a full English fry up. Extra toast. Can’t understand the negative reviews as a regular it’s always clean & fresh. Cooked to order far better than piled up drying up under a hot plate that you get in other supermarket cafes.

Possibly the best breakfast for miles, great portions and even better service with a smile! Can't recommend enough!

Asked a lady assistant, if she knew where an item would be, was told it was out of stock, then asked about another food item and was pointed at the isle next to me (pharmacy) and told on there, as she quickly ran off.

This is my local branch and it is always a complete mess with empty cardboard boxes on the floor stained floor tiles and empty shelves truly horrific experience. I would say at least 50% of what is meant to be on the shelves is missing and I can never complete a full shop in the store

Whilst this cafe can seat large numbers, there is never enough staff on hand to serve - actually getting through the checkout is so slow it can be torturous

Love the English breakfast, eggs always cooked perfectly and very tasty bacon. Great value for money and the service team are really friendly and helpful.

Can’t complain to be honest, you get what you pay for! However was very clean and the staff were great!

Called into cafe with daughter for tea prior to doing some shopping. Simple order of 2 egg and chips (only had chips still available). When served got one plate of egg and chips (admittedly plate did have 2 eggs on it) when explained that we had ordered 2 lots of egg and chips the girl advised only one put through, I did query when she shouted the order through that it was for two people and were informed they were aware, obviously not. Offered to do another one for us or bring out another plate to split meal in 2, too tired and hungry to wait so meal split.

I have been quick to criticise the speed of service here in the past, so only fair that I update my review. Came in today, and despite being quite busy, speed of service was so much better. A special mention for Tom, a member of the team, who really seemed to be managing things and getting things done - plus going that extra step for a number of customers.

When traveling south to Stockport my wife and I have eaten here often! We again decided to eat a full English breakfast Thursday 12th September at 11.00am. We were shocked by how dirty and grubby the place had become.The tables were filthy and were not cleaned when customers left and were replaced by others!We cleaned our own! The standards of hygiene were appalling!Tables dirty, knifes and folks unclean and food on the floor! The breakfast was inedible and I left more than half of it, dripping in fat and badly undercooked! Be warned eat here is a big risk and needless to say we will never go back!There was a bottle of what appeared to be detergent in a bottle, (see photo) which was never used!One good point and the only one was that the lady at the café checkout was polite and friendly!

asked for hotter coffee they said it cant go any hotter!!!! coffee is lukewarm they did refund for the coffee Food arrived and was really bad (too many things to say about it) Would never choose to visit this cafe again

Called in here a few times and whilst the food and beverages on offer are good, and the staff pleasant, the speed of service is ‘stop’. It doesn’t matter how busy or quiet it is, or the number of staff available, the checkout process is terrible.Please look into it Sainsburys as you have the potential for a great cafe.

This is a really busy cafe based in the Sainsbury's store, you queue for 10/15 mins to be served by only 1 member of staff who also has to make the hot drinks as well so your wait is even longer, then staff just decide to walk off and have their own conversations mid serve. The food is not cheap but tastes it and this is when it eventually gets brought out to you...There seems to be other staff around just not sure if they are supposed to be working or not.
