Good luck finding the entrance, it's like a Berlin underground nightclub, you have to enter via a ramp at the back of a seedy car park, god knows who designed this store 😳

It's ok shop floor clean lots of shelve filling made it look untidy tolets not pleasant . cafe to long to get what you wanted

I prefer shopping elsewhere. To get into the store you have to walk through the car park and up a ramp. Or in over crowded lifts. When there is better, safer access at the front. The store itself looks dated.

Great staff, always great for a good chat and most are very friendly and helpful. Don't buy flowers from there though. Numerous times they haven't opened or are dead already but appear fresh. Although when I returned them the flower and veg guy was very nice and accommodating and replaced them with some lovely ones.

Ahh asda the place of great hand made pizza high recommended

Very popular, very busy, very large supermarket offering great convenience to all customers with great support and help for elderly, disabled and young mums. Very friendly staff and atmosphere.

A decent-sized Asda with fairly friendly staff— walking into the supermarket is fairly daunting though lol

Probably the worst Asda in the country... It's a complete dump. The escalators are out of service and have been for years. The two lifts are also always out of order. Asda have said that the escalators are old and cost too much to fix. So why don't they just install new ones??? There is only one way in and out of the store which is surely a health and safety risk. The windows on the outside haven't been cleaned for years. The place is a dump. I want to know what plans Asda have for the store because it surely can't stay the way it is for another 20 years....

This is such a weird Asda. I suspect that they have closed a lot of the original entrances to the shop (presumably to prevent shoplifting by only having one well monitored exit ) but it means the layout is really weird. You have to walk through these grim and dingey tunnels to get through to the entrance. All feels a bit post apocalypse. You then have to sort of walk back through the store to get out with your shopping again and pass through this really bottlenecked area.

This store looked like it had been looted after the apocalypse. The escalators have been broken for forever. It looks like a store being rundown for closure.

Bad staffs, had a few problem and wait for my wife in the coffee shop before shopping at the store and then I've been 15 minutes after 2 hour free park and staff refuse to wave or get my plate number to send to parking company, even if the sign said that if we need a bit more time customer services should help. Really bad customer service and staffs, be careful with the park scam.

Food, alcohol, clothing, stationary and household products. This store seems to have less choice of products on the shelves and many of the lower price, own brand products seem to have been discontinued or out of stock. Good parking, toilet facilities in store. There are multiple access points, two one of which is situated inside the exit door on Warren Street, the other is in the muti story car park. There is also a ramp situated on Millgate. The escalators here no lo get operate to allow entry.

Great choice and well set out, until you get to the checkouts was visiting from out of area, it says trolley isle but its baskets. Just needs setting out better for people who are not used to the store.

The most bizarre entrance to a supermarket from the high street. Rickerly crammed lifts . There used to be escalators ( no longer working or open ) Desperately needs updating supermarket it's self fine just torture getting in and out

Dirty and old as far as most asda stores go. Lifts look like crackhead live in them

Supermarket is ok but I don't understand why customers have to go up and down the ramps or the lift to get in and out of the shop,why do you not use the escalators at the front of the shop anymore?, not seen those in use since before the Virus.

Why thru won't repair the escalators is anyone's guess getting in and out of the shop is a pain as the lift is frequently broke aswell

Terrible click and collect it yourself. 20 mins pressing the buzzer and checked in on the app and no one arrived. Had to go into the back with everyone’s orders to look for ours. Couldn’t find our order, walked through to deliveries where I found an asda employee. Asked if he could help me and he just said he didn’t know how to. Walked through the back, into the store to find a shop floor worker who eventually helped.

Has good quality products and a fair price in most things

Asked three times for a carrier bag on the self checkout, completely ignored. Got fed up of waiting and walked out leaving shopping behind, many other people getting visibly annoyed waiting for the inept colleagues who didn't want to be there to authorise their purchase or scan through a 20p bag. The place hasn't had any kind of investment in decades and is a rather depressing visit at the best of times, last straw today.

Very poorly accessable from the street Even worse access for those with reduced mobility Youths smoking visible drugs and groups gathering for alcohol drinking sessions at street entrance making access intimating for shoppers Staff not concerned though so that'll never change then Food not bad though with bargains available throughout the day

Very difficult to gain access to this place since the escalators have been blocked 🚫 off, very inconvenient place to get into

A good place to shop. Staff are polite and helpful and it's nice to be able to shop knowing what you want will be there.

Tried to go in at 420pm on Sunday and I was not allowed in to get 1 item. I was told people aren't allow in from that time until closing. If this is the case it should be clearly stated on your signs. Really frustrating driving there to be told we aren't allowed to shop even though there is still at least 9 minutes of time left.

One of the best supermarket in uk. Price is reasonable. Few item really cheap. They really have huge stock. They also have pharmacy. I have checked few items price little higher. They also have clothes (unfortunately not much option for men's)

Pretty big shop. You ll enjoy your shopping if you manage to enter the place. It s pretty confusing where the entrance is

Don't know what's going on with the Asda in stockport there's always stuff missing off the shelves and there's hardly any staff really gone down in my estimation, shame used to be the best supermarket in stockport

Absolutely massive shop. Unfortunately , the choice of clothes for younger kids is very poor, otherwise very well stocked up on drink and food etc.

Great store. Sadly missed is the fresh doughnut fryer. It was taken out ~20yrs ago. The smell and taste of freshly fried and filled doughnuts throughout the store was awesome🍩 Chunky Apple & Cinnamon... yum yum ! Guessing "Elf & Safety" saw that off 😫 Extensive range. Loads of parking. Camera controlled 2hr max. Car cut through from Stockport market now closed (March 2023)

First time I visited this Asda, couldn’t believe how congested it was in there. It was so tight as if everything was forced in with staff trolley carts everywhere. We literally couldn’t move it was overcrowded as it was with customers trolleys and staff carts. It wasn’t designed very well either to be honest it literally was like we will shove that section there and this section there but ur stuck in the middle. It was horrific definitely won’t be going to this Asda store again.

Awful place. It’s like going into 1960s East Germany. The lighting, the atmosphere are awful. Parking was dreadful. Finding the entrance was difficult. How can you spend time reviewing a supermarket but the is was dreadful. I actually walked past the place today and needed something that I can only get in Asda. I walked past and will go to another branch. It’s not the staff, it’s not the company but it’s the premises. Knock it down and start again.

Just no is all I need to say about this asda

This Asda has a good selection of goods and is quite quiet not many people there. So you can shop in peace. The only 2 downsides are the front entrance is permanently shut and last time I went the elevator was the only option. So your stuck in a small lift close together with a bunch of strangers. The other thing is the self pay machines. These lead to less employment and less interactions with real people. There is an issue of really clear CCTV images that are used at the till quite capable of facial recognition this is without consent or knowledge as to what they do with this data and we are not privy to their privacy policy. Also I support the use of cash and the self pay stations encourage the use of cards to pay. USE CASH AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE OR WE WILL LOSE IT. Anyway I don't work there so I don't scan I go to the till manned by a person who earns a wage to their benefit.

OK but Queues slow at Tills no one around on floor to ask for help You asked me for a Reply , Way to make things work better as I have worked at Manchester Airport many many years ,,, Your reply is , Put staff on Tills clear the big Queues first then when quite put staff on floor , keep doing this as MONEY in Tills pays your Bills , Staff , ect ,, people walking out doesn't put MONEY in your Tills CUSTOMERS Walking out won't pay your Bills or Staff , Remember CUSTOMERS Come First , Take there Money put Less Tills on , Fill shelves , Then put Staff back on Tills if it gets Busy again , Get the CUSTOMERS money off them before they Leave , thankyou ..

Can not believe this store still doesn't have an entrance from the main street unless you que for a tiny lift! Management madness it must just make there working life easier.

This supermarket is a maze to get to on foot. There’s one lift that always has a queue of people nearby because it’s the only disabled way of getting in from the town/street. You can go the long way round up a ramp and into the creepy car park but not great if you struggle walking. The toilets are very dirty. The store itself though has a great range of products.

Not easy to find the entrance. Never been here before, got stuck on a parking level trying to find the exit. Long pathways just to get in. Very strange layout.

They still won't open the escalators. Forcing everyone including elderly up and down the ramp through a single door entrance . Yes there is a lift which houses about 4 people .

Old dated store, parking grubby and underground, no lights at night entering the car park. Pedestrian entrance at the front of store boarded up since covid way in via carpark or a fire door

Lovely big shop, the only problem is the entrance & exit.

Customer service is poor. tried 3 staff members who just ignored me had to go to the front of the store to ask about an item that was on a shelf marked 50% off. As she scanned it it came up with the full price told her about the shelf price and showed her.the excuse was the night staff had placed it there and told nobody. I wasn't given an apology for the wasted time just told that was the price not this one. Very asda

Been shopping here for years, sadly the store has really gone down, can understand why it's no longer busy. Half empty shelves,also,WHY have so many items been moved to different Isles, the information signs above each isle are obviously wrong, even the lovely shop assistants are fed up as they don't know where items are. I asked a 'manager' few wks ago why this has happened, he said to make it flow better!?? he was totally disinterested, shame he didn't speak to the three customers we spoke to yesterday- one abandoned her trolley, another was with her mother said it was too much hassle trying to find items & left, the third lady was so frustrated, she left her basket in the aisle. We get the bulk of our shopping @ another well known supermarket few mins away(also cheaper), only came here to get few items, that were out of stock , but I'm another customer that couldn't be bothered with all the hassle & left.. The 1* is for the lovely helpful shop assistants, who understably feel demoralised & frustrated

Well stocked store and easy to navigate. The disappointing bit was the pedestrian entrance to the store. The original entrance is closed and you are sent around the corner and you have to take the long ramp up to the store. Always a few bargains in store.

Dont like having to walk quite a long way to get in! I dont like lifts!

Large asda shop with good parking and range of products.

Sadly there are no stairs or rscalator into the store, the store is looking old and tired as a building. Staff and shop ok though .

Despite wheelchair access Not the easiest to find your way in or out of.

It's a decent size store for food shopping and other household items decent overall. apart from having to get a tiny lift to the store it used to have a proper entrance I haven't shopped there for a while so they might of sorted that out by now

family member was shopping in the Stockport store for years as a loyal customer. Today , She used the change counter to exchange some coins however she did not realise there is a charge involved which is fine. She could not read the relevant information on the machine. She went to the customer service desk to be served by (mid age blonde lady) which we’re not sure her name is. My family member said She wanted some assistance from her however she rudely replied that “she should be able to read the information on the machine as she lives in this country and she should know English” and dealt very rudely and unhelpful to a loyal customer all for a simple question regarding the charge on the machine. We did not expect this kind of behaviour from a place where we’ve shopped for many many years. I hope nobody else experience this kind of behaviour from this store.

It's a bit grim. The lifts are horrendous and a bit smelly.

Good shopping and after 3pm 50% off main meals in the cafe.

Shocking. Spent over £150 paid at the self check out of not many other tills open. No bags on the check out. Had to go to a member of staff who just stood with bags. Was then escorted to my checkout for the member of staff to scan bags. What a joke. Was made to feel like a thief, I managed to scan all my other items myself and they were more expensive than the bags. If you can't trust people to scan bags get rid of self service and get staff on tills rather than stood about holding 30p bags.

So difficult to actually access the store as a pedestrian - ridiculous that the escalator has not been reinstated since COVID

The main street entry/exit has been shut for a long time. Well over a year. Entry now is via a dark, unlit and unmarked door at the side of the store. That leads to a set of long ramps - which are also dark and very dirty - which take you into the store. Asda seem not to care. I have stopped shopping there - it all feels horribly unsafe to me. Avoid this store at all costs. There's a large Tesco further on - that feels so much safer to get in and out of.

Inconvenient access and a dingy store inside. Staff and produce are all good but it's quite a miserable store due to the building itself

Great store with great staff except those who take parking spaces away from people who need them. The photo is a member of asda staff taking a parent and child spot with no child with the lady in question, not thinking about customers on this occasion.

Would give more stars but lift never seems to be working as am disabled this is not good
