This place wasn't at all like we thought it was going to be. It was absolutely shocking . Service was Terrible and horrific . Portions are way too small for the price of the meals.Items are incorrectly described . No lamb in the whole joint only mutton from the stone age . Don't waste your money. Their is far better places in the midlands.

I've been here a few times, and every other time the food was good. However, this time it was terrible. The starters came out; the tacos were nice; however, the chaat and the dhamaka prawns were not up to standard. The prawns (which I always have) were soggy due to too much mayo. It didn’t taste good at all. This isn't the worst part. When the main course arrived, the curry was honestly half-drenched in oil (maybe to hide the old/nearly outdated texture) and had no seasoning. There was no salt nor any flavor. The biryani was mediocre, though I definitely wouldn’t recommend it. Whilst I respect food, we didn’t even take a bite out of the curry (two breads ordered also went to waste). Service: No one came to ask us how the food tasted post 10 minutes when the food remained untouched. Dissatisfied, we immediately asked for the bill, as looking at the food, in all honesty, made my appetite go away. I informed the waiter of this when she came over, and all she had to say was, "Sorry, this dish normally doesn’t contain such high amounts of oil. I’m not sure why it’s the case right now." There was no gesture to make an alternative order or to remove the dish from the bill. Surely we pay for services and food, but when the food isn’t consumed due to poor quality, customers deserve not to pay. What am I paying for? The waitress did say she’ll pass the message onto the kitchen but this doesn’t revolve the complaint I had made. I was made to pay the entire bill, despite the majority of the food going to waste (the only thing we finished was the tacos - which I cannot fault). The experience, food, and service were 0/5. Definitely will not be coming back. I think you need to refer back to what the restaurant industry is supposed to provide and what alternatives should be available upon incompetency in meeting these simple standards. Teach your staff, and maybe the business may flourish better. Because just like this, there may be so many customers you lose as a result of such bad food, especially in such an economic condition. Whilst I’m sure your knowledge of business maybe better, no person should pay (our bill was about 80 pounds) for something that hasn’t been consumed and clearly “unusual” according to your staff themselves.

I was so excited about going especially after seeing them on Insta & seeing the menu online…Absolutely disappointed…Mocktails weren’t mocktailing we both had to send ours back & they a till didn’t taste right…Had to ask & get someone’s attention for someone just to get our orders…Very slow painful service…Had to ask for water more than once & it was another long wait…Food was below average…It wasn’t even full busy so not sure why the service was so slow…Wouldn’t go again :( Not worth the money…Aesthetically pleasing but that’s it

On a Saturday night the day before Christmas Eve I did wonder why it was half empty. The food was tasty, although limited choices. The issue, and the reason for the low rating was the service. When our main course arrived it was chicken in a lot of sauce. Quickly we realised there were only two small pieces of meat in about a pint of sauce. We complained politely that there was almost no meat in the dish and after a few back and forths to the kitchen were told that in effect they didn't believe us and the waiter couldn't 'prove it' to the kitchen and so couldn't do anything. We asked how we were supposed to prove it and why they couldn't just take our word for it, but apparently they needed evidence before they could take any action. I can only assume that if you want any level of customer service in this restaurant, you have to video your experience and be prepared to present a robust case on the event of any problems. Atrocious, will NEVER return

A really nice quick meal before a night out at De Montfort Hall. An interesting menu that will need a few more visits to explore properly… some great looking food heading to the tables around us. The tawa pomfret was brilliant.

Great service. Lamb shank biryani is a monster meal. There's enough for two and it's a shame they don't serve it with Curry sauce. Other guys had Rogan josh and the chicken Curry dish which were very tasty (had a forkful before they started!) Punters next door had the thali at 28 quid - Looks far too much food for me. Fast friendly service from Sanjeev and his staff. Highly recommend. No alcohol sold and you can't BYO . Fully understand people not wanting to make money from booze but don't force your views on customers.

Located in the heart of city at London Road, the famous curry mile of Leicester, there are some paid parking spaces available in the adjoining streets. My advice would be to park at Victoria Park Car Park, which is very spacious and cost us just £2 for 3 hours on a weekend. It is located on Granville Road, just 5 minutes away from the restaurant. Although we had pre-booked our table, we still had to wait for 5-10 minutes, as it was really busy, despite a fairly large dining area. The ambiance was great, the staff friendly and service prompt. We ordered a Lucknowi thali for two and chicken Changezi with Kerala porotta. All the dishes were excellent - authentic north Indian cuisine. Overall, it was an excellent dining experience and I am sure we would be coming back!

This is not a place you will enjoy We were rushed. Treated rudely. The table was not big enough for the food we ordered. They reluctantly extended the table and then soon took it away. So we could not eat in comfort with our elbows jammed together and no space on the table. They rushed us to pay the bill and forced us out, as they had a queue We spent £90 to be treated like this. Please don't go, try an authentic please. This is a money grab place. No service or quality.
