Fantastic food. Some great chefs dishes too. Sauces are cleverly thought out and tasty and meat is perfectly cooked which is often not the case in other similar restaurants. We’ll definitely come back soon!

The saffron shoud be rated 5 stars plus. The Currys from here are Excellent....We eat here every week..... and take away service. .Honestly the Currys are spot on. And the staff are Lovely and Respectful. One of the best places to eat in derbyshire.....Chicken madras always spot on. And if you.like Chicken vindaloo without the potatoe spot on with this. So so much to choose from flavours are gorgeous.

Ordered takeaways from here twice in the last week due to family birthdays. We usually eat in the restaurant but due to a disability I am unable to climb stairs at the moment and the toilets are upstairs. Very impressed with the food, both times the food arrived earlier than stated and was well packaged and hot ( heat wise not spice wise!) Tonight was just for me and my husband, We ordered Chicken Rogan Josh, Chicken Bhuna, a pilau rice and a garlic bread between two of us, loads of food, lots of tender chicken pieces and lots of vegetables enough for lunch tomorrow. Impressed x

I visited Saffron a week ago with a group of friends. The food was really good and the service was very friendly and attentive. You can bring your own alcohol too, which is a positive. I would recommend to anyone wanting decent quality Indian food in the vicinity of Disley.

I ordered a takeaway from here yesterday evening and directly messaged the restaurant on messenger, this was definitely the worst takeaway I have ever been served. I ordered Lamb Chops as a starter and the lamb was off, the smell from the tray was awful, my main course was not as bad but after smelling the chops I could only eat a small amount because of my starter, the main was bland and did not taste anything like I have tasted from any other Indian restaurant I have visited or purchased from. This restaurant was recommended by a friend so I can only hope for the restaurant’s reputation that this was not something they serve up very often, needless to say I will not spend close on £20 for a starter and main course without appetisers such as poppadoms and pickle to be served food that is so bad. I believe in reviewing restaurants and hotels when I receive service above and beyond what I expect to receive as you will see in past reviews and also believe when I have received something as bad as I did last night to also alert other diners of such a poor experience. Needless to say I didn’t receive a response from the restaurant from my direct message which stated that if I didn’t receive a response I would highlight my experience on Tripadvisor.

We visited Saffron after lockdown and were not disappointed. We were greeted by Shaun the waiter who was very friendly and efficient and soon had us seated with drinks and popadoms and chutneys.We had 2 lovely starters and then chicken madras and chicken tikka balti which were both delicious.We felt safe with the covid rules and full credit must go to Shelim the manager who runs the restaurant with great professionalism.Great to be back and we shall return.Shout out to Christian who was on his day off.

Visited with the family, mid week special at 11.95 excellent value, everything fresh and well presented. No alcohol licence so take your own makes it a very inexpensive evening which we all thoroughly enjoyed

With out a doubt the only Indian style restraunt for miles around worth visiting .tried all the rest which range from very average to never again !!!!! Walk through the door ,great decor clean bright welcolmeing as was the reseption from the Staff ,which continued throughout the evening . Very good menu ,excelent food , good portion sizes at a very reasonable price . We would defiantly recommend a visit .Word of advice at the moment they don't seam to have a drinks licence but are happy for you to take your own drinks along ( make an amazing value for money night out ) Give it a go .

During an overnight stay in Disley I ate at the Saffron,it was an excellent meal, very tasty and beautifully presented, staff were friendly and attentive, I would certainly recommend it and visit again if in the area.

Tried to Order takeaway from joint through Justeat who were offering a 20% discount. At the checkout no discount was offered. Justeat denied there was any discount of 20% although 10% was offered for orders over £20. This is deceiving customers and a good reason not to order if you value honesty.

We came here as the place we were staying didn’t do food after 6pm. The staff were very welcoming and reserved us a table while we checked in to our accommodation. We went for the £10.95 deal - poppadoms and chutneys, any starter, any main and rice/naan. Loads of choice and very tasty food!

Food was luke warm, bland to taste and they appeared to ration the portions of rice. In addition, poppadums tasted oily. Will stick to my local curry house where there is flavour and overall better ambiance. Wont be returning!

We were staying in Disley and looking for something different and selected Saffron. So glad that we did. The staff were very nice. We liked the clean design of the restaurant and the menu seemed so varied and unending. When we received the plates they were very attractive and each one was prepared perfectly. So tasty. I would stop here again in a second. Don't pass this fine place.

I never do this but felt compelled to review. Lovely staff, first-rate food. The garlic tikka chicken is full of fresh garlic and chillies. It was of those few curries you just can't fault.

Been going past for a while and kept saying we'd give it a try but called in on Friday just 2 of us order was complety wrong not what we ordered and that was enough curry was very bland and also tried to charge us for what we didn't have so can't really recommend it here but others seemed go be enjoying it but this is my honest opinion but you might feel different place was clean and tidy and everything but just didn't get it right on the night

We went here for my sons 18th as we were let down by another venue the same day.we have used this for take always for mainy of years and our last 2 Christmas dinners, although we have used many times we have never eaten in. The staff were amazing and booked us in 4 hours before we were due to get there we took our own birthday cake that they were happy to bring out for us, you can even take your own alcohol in as they only do soft drinks. Will definitely go back food amazing

We visited last Sunday and had the set menu. Great value for money and delicious food. They no longer serve alcohol, but that was fine. We just nipped across the road to the Dandy Dock for a couple of drinks after we'd eaten.

What a great restaurant. Fantastic menu with loads of chefs specials. Brilliant service and the food was just top notch. Not too pricey either. Just perfect all round.

The food is always good in Saffron however it is let down by grumpy waiters that give off the impression that they want rid of you as fast as possible. If you go when it is quiet you feel like you are being watched by the many staff sat or stood around waiting to have something to do

Visited Saffron for the first time last weekend with my Husband and Daughter. We were pleasantly surprised that the interior was clean, fresh, modern and importantly nice and warm!

I ate here twice whilst staying in Disley - the food was good service was good the menu was fairly typical Indian restaurant menu reasonably priced My meal cost around £15 with a drink included. The staff are friendly no long waits for the food to be served all in all a good restaurant.

We had an excellent meal on april 9th 2018 and imho too cheap. We payed 40 pnds for 2 starters and 2 mains, and coffee/tea and drinks. Ridiculous for such a lovely meal.

Lovely Spotless clean modern restaurant. Polite staff, who were friendly without being intrusive. Excellent food all tasting fresh and well presented. Good Portion sizes, did not leave hungry. Will definitely be returning here as it’s now on my list of favourite places to dine.

Saturday night. Excellent Biryani and Cobra, served promptly, but the staff seemed stressed and not very friendly, and some of the other diners were waiting a long time for their meals. Not much atmosphere here, maybe because I was upstairs ?

We hadn't booked and restaurant was already packed with several large parties. They could have easily turned us away, but offered us a table in an upstairs room. The service and friendliness of the staff was fantastic throughout - they kept apologising as they were so busy! We had an excellent meal and I have never had such large portions anywhere! I have now visited a few times in the week for the special offer so its not a one off experience. From walking through the door to leaving, the customer interaction and service is disgraceful to the point where I will not go back.

We were booked for around 7 ish so before the late eating crowd the restaurant was half full, and I remember some of the staff from many years ago when I was a regular late visitor, we ordered our food, and we didn't feel rushed, we ate our poppadoms then our meals arrived we all enjoyed our curries and there was nothing left to dogybag. The staff were friendly and attentive, we sat for another hour chatting and drinking. Overall a good evening out. Only one thing to winge about and I remember from previous visits is the gusts of wind from the front door as it opens to let customers in and out so get a seat at the back..

Last minute booking. Managed to seat 7 of us. Good and service were good. Returned the next weekend with friends and good again.

Recientemente he cenado en azafrán después de tener un número de sitios de delicioso. El personal es siempre muy cálido y acogedor. La comida es de buena calidad. Recomiendo el pollo tikka passanda pilau y huevo. El naan pan de queso también es genial. Hay un montón de opciones en el menú y una amplia variedad de arroces que no y naans en la mayoría de los menús de la India.

The food is AMAZING such a shame that the staff are so rude, ive always been here but lately ive just noticed how rude that staff have got, staff very abrupt, wouldnt listen to our orders, there's one or two younger ones that are lovely but the older ones usually just dont listen to us and are generally just rude

Es el mejor restaurante de azafrán de la India en el área, hemos estado utilizando el restaurante desde que abrió dentro y llevar regular, el caballero que dirige el restaurante es magnífico.

El personal es muy amable y atento, el servicio es de fumadores y la decoración es agradable y ofrece el ambiente perfecto para su placer gastronómico. Pero no tome mi palabra! Reservar una mesa y ver por ti mismo. No te decepcionará.

Hemos ido a Azafrán para 18 años ahora y todavía tan increíble como cuando nos fuimos allí a 1 calle. Nada es demasiado problema, el personal es maravilloso y la comida es simplemente perfecto. Nunca hemos tenido una comida de pobres y la mitad de semana ofertas son increíbles relación calidad-precio. Podría criticar este restaurante. . . . Pues no, no una oportunidad.. Así que aquí está a otra de 18 años de disfrutar su comida fantástica

Wonderful meal at Saffron Disley tonight. Just me and my Daughter, the food was first class. Went in very early but it did not deter from the excellent food they presented us with. Service of course was exceptional as always.

Uno puede disfrutar de una comida solo o una comida con un grupo. El bar está bien equipada con una buena variedad de vinos y cervezas.

This restaurant has been consistently owned and managed by Heera and his team for a few years. Was our favourite for many years until we started socialising in a neighbouring village. Visited Saffron recently and delighted to say excellent quality food and service again.

Comimos aquí el viernes por la noche y pensamos que la comida estaba por encima de la media en general para un restaurante local. Los popadoms y salsas eran sólo estándar pero los chuleta y Fisk entrantes Tikka eran excelentes. Teníamos una tandoori ambivalente plato principal y por desgracia el cordero era duro y seco, no hay nada como las chuletas de cordero de licitación. El resto de la carne estaba preparado bien y tenía un plato grande de curry suave con patatas. También tuvimos el placer de bacalao del mar que era muy bueno, con grandes trozos de pescado y una temperatura media de la salsa. El menú es amplio con un montón de opciones en la parte superior de los curries típicos. El tamaño de las porciones son generosas y representaba una buena relación calidad-precio. Creo que ha tenido recientemente una reforma y la decoración es luminosa y moderna. El aparcamiento era muy conveniente y gratuito en la biblioteca detrás del restaurante y un corto sendero lleva directamente a la puerta.

Azafrán está bien - un restaurante indio típico, la comida ha sido bien, como es de esperar. He estado desanime comer aquí ya que mi hija se pidió el pollo tandoori. Ella corte abierta para encontrar sin cocer. Fue envió sólo para ser devuelto con la carne al lado de hueso rosa y poco hecha. No me impresionó. Los poppadoms también tenía que ser envió como estaban rancias. Las porciones de arroz son muy pequeñas. Nos mantendrá la Disley Masala.

Hemos comido aquí varias veces y siempre me ha gustado mucho, de hecho es uno de nuestros favoritos de la zona.

Nos dieron un llevar tandoori grill de mezcla. Yo tengo que decir que fue la peor comida que he tenido. Pollo y cordero extremadamente duro y hecha. Venía con una salsa bhuna que sabía a llenar de pollo con un poco de cebolla y un montón de aceite. Yo no lo recomendaría.

Restaurante local, siempre muy amable y buenas ofertas disponibles. El servicio es excelente y el personal recomienda platos alternativos. Todo el amor de la familia comer aquí ... el personal es muy atento y recordar los pedidos regulares.Si reserva pide una mesa lejos de la puerta, como en invierno, puede ser un poco corrientes.Una favorita de la familia.

Visited here with four friends that live in area,good value and plenty to eat in fact too much but the staff were happy to put in takaway trays for us.My Husbands Dhansak was not as hot as what he asked for so they took it away and it came back with added chilli powder as it was redder than before.

I have known the saffron since i was very young, it used to be located in offerton but has moved to marple and looks great! The currys still taste just as good and the takeaways are always perfect! Cant beat a good indian!

Went on a Saturday evening about 7. It was already pretty busy but we got a table OK. By about 7.30 the place was full and there lies the problem. They couldn't seem to cope with the number of people in the place and the steady stream of take-away customers coming in and out only added to the delays. Getting the menus after sitting down, someone coming to take our order, the arrival of the starters, the arrival of the main course - each stage seemed to take about 3 times as long as you would expect. At least 50 minutes elapsed between finishing the starters and the arrival of the main course - so much so that we weren't hungry by the time it arrived and we took most of it away in containers. There were a couple of larger groups, so they probably didn't notice so much, but I could see other couples getting similarly annoyed with the excessive delays.The waiting staff were rather aloof and either ignored or took little notice of our requests to speed things up a bit. Only the younger waiter seemed take any notice and apologised when we paid the bill. Having said all that, the food was OK and there was lots of it when it did arrive - I would probably go again if in the area - but on a quieter evening!
