Really enjoyed our takeaway! The food was great and arrived hot, and on time. If staying in and around Whitstable would definitely recommend

We are sooo impressed with our take away. The food was delivered on time, well presented and delicious. We had the mixed grill, chicken Korma, mushroom dish and extras - it was amazing. We fully recommend.

I’ve ordered pretty much the same stuff from the 4 Indian places in Whitstable in the last 5 weeks or so ,, guess I saved the best til last ,, order your food from here it’s a level above Shobab and star of Bengal and as for tankerton tandoori well just don’t even think about it as that was the worst curry I’ve ever had

We have used Sabara a few times now and it has been perfect every time. Very tasty, always hot when it arrives and on time or early! We ordered New Years Eve and it arrived early and once again it was delicious. Highly recommend! Best in Whitstable

Thought we would try this takeaway and ordered on line. Had my grandkids staying and they love tikka masala, so we all had masala and all the trimmings. It arrived on time and was piping hot and the kids loved it as did I and their Dad. I can honestly say it was one of the best we have ever had, the kids were even wiping out the foil containers with naans. A superb meal and will definitely use again.

Our takeaway was fresh, flavoursome and just right. It was as you would expect when ordering food. I ordered on-line and collected, it was ready on time. All the dishes were perfect if I had to pick the best then probably the Dansak even the pilau rice was so good!

Nothing to complain about but could be so much better if the dishes included fresh (rather than frozen and processed veg and meat). Rather bland and greasy - no roasted, smoky spice or hint of fresh chilli excitement). Arrived early by friendly delivery person.

Had a really nice takeaway from here the food was all piping hot and very flavoursome. I like to try new Indian restaurants wherever we visit and have to say this one was fantastic ! If we are in the area again we will be back!

Placed order over £90.00. Delivery late, phoned when order was 20 minutes late to be told just 10 minutes more. Arrived 20 minutes later with no apology. Very disappointing will certainly be ordering from an alternative takeaway in future.

Most of the food was nice and still piping hot despite being 45 minutes late which was sort of expected on NYE. Restaurant was difficult to get hold of to locate order and when the phone did eventually connect no one was on the other end, just a lot of background noise until someone eventually heard me shouting hello. Portion size wasn't as big as some cheaper alternatives but still nice apart from a piece of cardboard found in one of the meals and some chewy prawns. Average for the price.

Order was placed early to avoid the busy time. It arrived approximately one hour late. Lamb strayer was tough and cold. Prawn curry was not as described on the menu and was not curry by any description, it was like the restaurant had run of spices and even city powder. Without a doubt the worst Indian food I have ever experienced. The other meal was equally as bad.

Preordered at 5pm for 6.30pm delivery. Food arrived at 6.50pm. Food was hot and tasty. Really enjoyed the Chicken Tikka Masala Balti, was really nice

Rude on phone and left out an item. Food was nice though. Did offer a refund but wanted the item, said couldn't deliver for 50mins, said was unexceptable and 5mins of complaining that the delivered in 20mins

Saturday night takeaway and hadn't had an Indian for ages because of our past letdown. Tried Sabara as the last time it was better than the others. Chicken Tikka, Chicken Pakora, Onion Bhaji, Prawn Biriyani, Vegetable Curry, King Prawn Bhuna, Pilau Rice and Bombay Potato ordered. Arrived 30 mins after ordering was all hot and tasty, Bhaji crispy but oily hence the no excellent review.

The best food ever. King Prawn Jalfrezi the greatest I’ve ever tasted. Compliments to the chef; but was surprised by the delivery fee? Usually when I order over £20 no fee applies? £3.95 feels a bit steep. Will collect in future as I love the food and I’m a loyal customer. But nearly 4 quid to come less than a mile really disappointed me. Still love this place, though.

We had never ordered from here before, we used the website odering facility which was easy. Paid with Paypal ,again for ease. Delivery was 30 minutes earlier than quoted so very prompt. I had the Lamb Tindaloo, my partner had Lamb Tikka Masala. We shared a Tarka dahl. All were cooked superbly, great flavour and price. Can't comment on the restaurant itself as havent been. But we will certainly use again .

Such an appalling experience with this restaurant, I do not recommend anyone ordering from this shoddy, rude excuse for a restaurant. We ordered our food, waited over an hour for delivery, got given the wrong order, phoned to complain and was told the correct order would be with us in 10minutes. The delivery driver arrived without our order, but took the wrong one back and said he’d return with ours ... he did not! We rang again to be asked what we would like as they had to remake our order from scratch! The customer service was appalling, the man on the phone was extremely rude and dismissive. When I asked for a discount for all the inconvenience he offered £5!!! Ridiculous. We certainly won’t be using them again.

Ordered through the website but delivered the wrong food. Delivery driver picked up the wrong order and said he would be back in a minute with the right order. After 10mins we phone up to find out what was going up and I was informed that they were cooking it again due to our food has been eaten by another customer. We asked for some sort of compensation and we were offered £5, but we tipped the driver £7 so a bit a kick in teeth. So we asked for a full refund which the delivery driver brought around. Never using Sabara take away again.

The food quality was ok but very little of it ! Come on guys half-filled containers of curry, dhall and aloo ? You could do a lot better than that !

I've been a customer for about 20 years, I would never use any other indian takeaway, this is based on quality, service and delivery.

Small portions, rubbish King Prawns, tasted alright

We order fairly regularly to have a meal delivered. Food is always freshly cooked and hot on delivery. Poppadoms always a complimentary extra. Meal always promptly delivered and drivers always polite and friendly.

My husband and I fancied a takeaway and decided to try the Sabara. I am a vegetarian and it's important for me to have a food with plenty of flavour. I ordered a vegetable birini which was really enjoyable and my husband had a lamb curry which he enjoyed. We were more than happy with the service,food and delivery was spot on time.

Being lazy thought we would try out a new Indian and have a takeaway. Ordered through Just Eat and due for delivery at 18.50.Chicken Tikka Biryani, King Prawn Dupiaza, Tarka Daal, Pilau Rice, King Prawn Puree, Chicken Pakora and Vegetable Bhaji.Order arrived 5 minutes early.No accompaniments was the let down i.e lemon with the king prawn and puree, no mint sauce / garnish with the chicken pakora. Also the chicken pakora was over cooked and dry. Rest of food average.

After ordering for a group of friends I was frustrated to be delivered the wrong order, over 40 minutes after it was supposed to arrive.On the positive, the vindaloo sauce was nice, but the two passandas (we only ordered one) tasted like coconut, nothing else, we weren’t sent our sag paneer and the Bombay potatoes were more Herne Bay than Bombay. The food turned up cold and had to be microwaved (we live 3 minutes from the take away).I have to say I’m really disappointed. I’ve used Sabara for years and this was the worst take away I’ve had in years.

Great food as always. However servixe went above and beyond last week. Ordered a dish thinking it was something else (dairy free) for my wife. When i called to query it, they explained everything and the chef suggested an alternative which was delicious. Bought it out to us quickly, and even chucked some extras in free of charge, and even refused to take the extra that was due for the new dish or delivery.

We were staying at the local TL and needed some food - even the nearby garage was closed. The TL receptionist recommended Sabara and said they would deliver to the TL on orders over £15. We placed the order, the food was delivered quickly and very politely, it was reasonably priced and totally delicious. I can highly recommend this restaurant.

Delivery person was the only good thing about this restaurant. The portions were extremely small. The dansak was very hot and sour no sweetness to it as should be. No flavour apart from heat in the jalfrezi. Bombay potatoes totally tasteless, over cooked and sloppy. Pompadoms half the size they should be.

I've had reason to use the Sabara three times in the last couple of weeks - friends, visitors, family - and I'm delighted to say it's back to its very best. Don't expect much in the way of atmosphere, though the owner and his son are good for a natter while you're waiting if you like passing the time that way. The family have been in Whitstable 'forever' so if there's something you'd like to know, just ask.

One of the longest established Indian & Bangladeshi take away restaurants in the area. Consistent quality.

Prawn Kashmir was disgusting. The menu needs to be more specific. I would never have ordered something that included prawns with bananas... Everything else was great!

Both main meals had raisins in which is fine if you love raisins but I don't and it ruined the meal for me.

Delicious food! A couple of small items had been forgotten but were delivered very quickly afterwards, while we were still eating - didn't spoil the meal.

Not good. Didn't send all the dishes we paid for, said they would return the money in 40mins but no one arrived. Food was ok, but not great.

Gorgeous food but you are being greedy now. First of all when I ordered with you it was free delivery over £15, then £20 and now it is £25. I'm not paying £3.95 delivery when I've spent over £20 with you. It's a shame because the food is delicious but that is ridiculous.

Excellent meal, all terrific and delivered with a smile. (I wasn't sure that Sabara was on Just Eat - I didn't remember a sign in the restaurant).

Traditional Indian food, well prepared with good sized portions. The take away or delivery service is excellent with food being delivered hot and on time.
