Rye Deli in Rother

We picked up a lunch for the beach, sandwhiches, crisps, soft drinks and a cake. By far the best sandwich in a while (you can pick your own fillings) and they did a gluten free option too with gluten free cakes. They also sell good food presents.

Great deli. Good selection of produce. Some of the best sandwiches in Rye with good choice of fillings, freshly made whilst you wait.

I can't recommend Rye Deli enough after the team there provided a selection of wonderful platters, breads and salads for a small gathering. From my initial enquiry email to final payment, the whole process was a joy. With friends arriving at different times throughout the evening, I needed food that could just be put out and dug into...and the platters and salads provided by Rye Deli were just the ticket. Reasonably priced, beautifully presented, absolutely delicious and delivered to my front door....what more could I ask for? Thank you so much for your advice, impeccable service and scrummy food Dezi and Tamzin...it was all perfect. My only regret is that I don't live closer!

We spent rather a lot of money at the Rye Deli! The food is beautiful and such a wide range. My absolute favourite are the local cheeses!

This wonderful shop offers a great variety of foods and treats. Their cheese and fresh food counters are filled with delicious items including freshly prepared salads, quiches and other savoury snacks as well as sweet treats.

Dezi and Tamsin prepared an amazing lunchtime spread for 80 people and the entire process was both very pleasurable and professional from planning the menu to consuming. Interesting food choices and great suggestions for serving and presentation. Thank you everyone at Rye Deli for helping make our day so memorable.

Just wanted to say that I dropped in here to do some shopping with a friend from London. I was also looking for an insulated bag to take scallops back to London. They did not have one but a member of staff went to check if they had done small ice packs in their freezer as the cheeses they have delivered often come with them. So she found some and gave them to me. Very helpful! Scallops went back to London still fresh and cold.

Incredible catering service! I had to fed 13 people on a film crew very last minute. I called up Rye Deli and within an hour and half they had a delicious, varied selection of food delivered to our set. Very responsibly priced and super helpful with picking food that would work everyone, I would highly recommend. I wish every catering experience was as easy and enjoyable as this! Thanks Rye Deli

Friendly. Loads of selections. The tuna and the ham sandwich were good. Salads good. Worth a stop for yummy supplies.

Ok the quiche is fine but the potato salad and the one with mustard we had was so bland, I could do better.

We stopped in at the Rye Deli for lunch only to find no table service. However, the selections looks so appealing we decided to return later in the day to get items for dinner. There is a nice selection of interesting salads, quiches, cheeses, olives, etc. In addition there are many unique packaged items available too. Our dinner was a combination of salads and quiches and it was all very good and I would certainly recommend a stop to stock up on items for a picnic lunch or dinner, always even nicer when it is made by someone else.

Popped in for some things to cook for dinner and they couldn't have been more helpful. My first visit to Rye and what a wonderful village it is.

This is the best deli in Rye: they sell outstanding sandwiches and fine quiches, excellent cakes and sweets. They have a fine selection of cheese and good bread. Well worth a visit.

You absolutely must try the coronation chicken sandwich from Rye deli. I tried the same sandwich from a different cafe a few days later and it suffered in comparison. I'm so glad I tried this sandwich from Rye deli first.

As I have coeliac disease it is often difficult to "grab a sandwich" like other people do. In Rye I found the deli had very nice gluten free bread and were happy to make up a fresh sandwich with whatever fillings I chose. There was also other gluten free choices including salads, stuffed potato, biscuits and dried fruit balls.

With a huge variety of interesting and tasty delicacies plus delightful and helpful staff we probably spent more than we intended but don’t care a jot because it was such a lovely experience.

We bought some dishes from Rye Deli for a picnic last week.

Mum was well chuffed with her quiche. Fabulous range of different foods - there were all sorts of things we'd have tried if we'd been staying longer!

Make your own takeaway lunch, purchase good quality homemade dishes to use at home, All the little extra special bits you dont get in the supermarket and wonderful gift packs. Lovely staff and very helpful, local chesses and wines

I've been here quite a few times & can always choose something fresh, homemade & delicious. It's a bit expensive but "you get what you pay for"

Great coffee, quiches, meats and cheeses. Good selection of ice creams, sandwiches, pasta.....the list goes on. They have two branches the second one, just around the corner from the one on the high street has a bigger selection.

This deli has a great selection of pies, quiches, salads and sandwiches. The red cabbage salad, the quinoa salad and the mixed vegetable salad were tasty.

Cannot recommend the Deli in Rye enough. I was organising a garden BBQ party for my husband and mine 40th Wedding Anniversary recently. Dezi recommended several salad dishes to go along with the BBQ, including Quiches, Greek salad, pasta salads, potato dishes, rice dishes plus much much more. The Snowdonia cheddar and brie were nothing quite like I have ever tasted before, amazing!! Absolutely fantastic food, high quality at good pricing. Everyone at the party were commenting on how lovely the food was.

This is deli is great for food on the go. We had the lunch deal of 3 salads and the quiche of the day. The food was delicious and fresh. Staff were friendly.

We went in here to get salads for an impromptu picnic in the churchyard. The salads were absolutely fine, but the service was a bit off hand and sniffy - one of the salads I picked mysteriously put up the cost of the whole box salad by £1, one of us was given a free bag, the other not offered one, the plastic forks were subject to a non-voluntary 5p levy for charity - just a bit unfriendly and not customer focussed. My friend, who is a vegan, had to work really hard to get the information on which salads were vegan too. Overall just not the experience it should have been.

Popped in and spent a very pleasant time perusing all the very varied stock. Even a moderate foodie like me found a lot of things I had never seen before as well as all the favourites. Attentive & pleasant staff with lots of home-made fresh products.
