Very welcoming and comfortable. Great uncomplicated food and service with sensible prices. Dog friendly. Extremely hospitable. Expect to return when staying in the area again.

Amazingly kind hosts. Welcome with warm tea. Such a warm welcome as well for our dog Rooms were decent. But the breakfast was amazing with a great vegan option. Even our dog got breakfast offered by the owner!

I'm not normally one for giving reviews, however after a recent one night stay myself and my husband were absolutely thrilled with our stay. Start to finish from the complimentary arrival tea/coffee, fantastically clean and well maintained room and impeccable customer service we received from every member of staff we encountered - the whole experience was a delight. Special shout out to the young lad who looked after us at breakfast, polite, courteous and helpful. If your looking for a hotel stay close to Hastings I would 100% recommend Guestling Hall Hotel, thank you!

I wouldn't have expected such a brilliant English hotel. Here you live and not just spend the night.

I feel some of the previous comments are extremely harsh... Given that the rooms are extremely reasonably priced (with breakfast included) I feel it would be unrealistic to expect the same standards as The Savoy for example. We stayed recently as a group due to having an event nearby. 5 of us stayed between Room 11 & Room 8.. Room 11 has a comfortable double in one room with 2 singles just off the fire exit corridor (I have seen some families comment on this, and can appreciate why some wouldn't like this set up, but for us we were all adults so wasn't an issue being in separate rooms) Both single beds were comfortable, clean bathroom nearby with a very generous bath and excellent water pressure... I can understand why some have commented on the windows as majority are bared by outer mental rods (although I can understand from a safety point of view) we got around this by using the door stoppers to keep all doors open and opening the sky lights in the 2 singles and the bathroom.. the weather was mid 20s and we were all comfortable. Room 8 was lovely, spacious and clean with a joining shower.. Grounds were beautiful although a few bits here and there that would be better suited at the tip (a few broken/rotten pieces of furniture dotted around) to save from others marking you down for this. For the price we paid (worked out less than £50 each between 5) and breakfast included we felt it was good value for money.. My only real critic would be the breakfast, we wait over an hour, and felt it wad a little lacking... very simplistic options but generally pleasant. If I found myself in the area again I would absolutely stay again... reception staff were friendly, offering drinks on arrival.. a reasonably priced quirky little place.. enjoyable.

This hotel gives you the personal feeling that you are staying with someone. The welcome is warm and personal. Sit down with coffee and tea with an introduction from Louise. The decor is old English chic. Various lounges and spacious bedrooms. A delicious English breakfast and a delicious meal in the evening. We enjoyed it and as an extra, the waitress Saskia sang for us. Super fun to experience. This was the best address of our 10-day trip. Recommended!

I call into Will's whenever I'm going that way, usually once a month if I'm lucky. I was going past today but running late, they close at 2pm. I called to see if they close sharp at 2 which they do apparently. However, was asked why, so I explained we are running late and won't arrive until 2.15 😥 no problem she said, what do you want & I'll leave it on the door step for you & pay next time you are passing 👏👏 what great customer service that was... fantastic food as always 💯 recommend.

Look, when they say 'Large' Roast Dinner, they are not messing around. The roast potatoes are amazing, the Yorkshire puddings are heavenly, and the meat is pretty much perfect. A portion so large that it made me, a known glutton, pause and reconsider if I had the space for dessert. Speaking of which, the desserts were worth it. Amaretto and Daim Bar Frozen Mess - a special - beautiful.
