Service was lovely and friendly but the food did not live up to the price they were charging very over cooked burgers chips over cooked and jacket potatoes like bullets the milkshake also lacked flavour

Breakfast was lovely, and the service was excellent.

In these troubling economic times the term : getting your moneys worth or value for money are often banded around but seldom truly earned! Which is why it please me so much to relate to you a dining experience of the highest order in a most unexpected location. Tucked Away in this sleepy village old town is an old pub recently renovated into flats with a commercial property underneath which is where we find the unassuming ; Jimmies Cafe & Restaurant. On entry you are enveloped by a large, bright dining space with close to a dozen tables but the real surprise is the partially hidden lounge area behind the wall which separates the service area from the main room. This is where you find 2 comfortable arm chairs and quite literally the most comfortable sofa in this green and pleasant land! Now you are all probably wondering , When am I getting to this so called " wonderful dining experience?"..Patience, my people, Patience...All good things and all that! If you are anything like me, you tend to scrutinies the others customers food arriving whilst you peruse the menu...and I'll you what I was pleasantly surprised to see proportions of admirable size. Whoever it was the owner Jimmy who meandered toward my tabe while I procrastinated over my choices, who steared me to the simple lunch offering of Jacket potato with tuna mayo and sweetcorn accompanied with a sizable salad & coleslaw. Perhaps I should have mentioned that I am a big man! When I say big, I mean it: 6ft 6 inches and 126 kilos ( 20 stone). I say this because even though this meal only cost me £8 , I was fully sated! Add to this the warm reception and excellent customer service one receives from young Archibald, a veritable jack of all trades , who's coffee alone is worth the trip! Like all good businesses it has been my experience that strong leadership from the owner results in a good customer experience and this is no exception! Both Jimmy and his lovely wife Zara exude Warmth and hospitality. Some people are naturally good at this job and here we have exactly that case. They always have a smile or a warm understanding shoulder to park your troubles. In short : the food is very good- the price is right - the service is excellent and the atmosphere perfect for the local or foreign out of town visitor. Trust me when I tell you, if you come once, you'll be a regular before the end of the meal! Now, before I go there is one point I need to mention: I love cake! And if its homemade even better, so the moment I spotted Jimmies homemade lemon drizzle cake ( carrot cake and Victoria spunge were also available), I knew it was meant for me and am I glad I made that choice : fresh lemon flavoured cream attop light sandwiched lemon spung filled even more lemon cream ! Was absolutely delicious 😋!

The breakfast was nice but unfortunately we ended up throwing up afterwards so it's safe to say we won't be going there again sorry but thank you :) Sorry you took offense to this comment ^^ Our appetite had nothing to do with it sorry you have to defend yourself as a company but I'm not going to lie the market place cafe in bexhill town is alot nicer! Pleasant surprise of a curry and coffee for lunch. Fast and great service would recommend as only a short walk from the hospital.

This is my local cafe and cant rate it highly enough.Beautiful Persian lunches available as well as cake English breakfasts etc .SUCH welcoming staff and always makes my family very very welcome whether young or old .Exceptional in everyway !

Owner came up to me and told me and my young daughter that all the food was sold out. He didn't even ask what I wanted. We will not be returning.

Very nice place. Staff very welcoming on entry. Light music playing in background. I had bacon sandwich and hubby had omlette. Good quality coffee and tasty food. Menu varied. Will go back in future. £1.10 for an hour's parking in car park just across the street if no on-street spaces.

First lunchtime visit and very impressed. Service with a smile, prompt and helpful. Very clean place. Food was both tasty and good portion sizes, with plenty of choice. Jimmi’s Mediterranean tuna sandwich is amazing, deep filled with beautiful fresh bread. Then I tried the vegetarian breakfast and by far the best veggie breakfast I’ve ever had. Lovely environment, very clean and relaxing.

Lovely place to visit and have a coffee. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Coffee was excellent and they served red Bush tea.

Had a private party for my mums 60th and it was fantastic. Jimmi was so accommodating and we had the most fantastic time. The venue is beautiful and the coffee is delicious. Highly recommend if you're looking for a venue for around 30 people. Very reasonable pricing too. Thanks jimmi!

Mums 90th birthday and today we took her out for tea and cake to Jimmi’s. Very polite and friendly staff and a very clean venue, not too busy and it was wheelchair friendly too. The coffee and cake were very nice and other customers were mentioning this too. We checked reviews before deciding to visit and can definitely say it’s great. Highly recommended.

Quality of service and food Five Star 🌟 Just a ten minute walk away from Bexhill Hospital,as we were waiting for a friend was ideal. Lovely atmosphere, very friendly and welcoming, food was Excellent.

Only our second visit here. The place is clean, well kept with welcoming friendly atmosphere and staff. The waitress was very helpful and knowledgeable regarding the menu, which made our choice an easy one. When it came the food was well presented and hot. We will be going back as we enjoyed it so much

Lovely bacon and egg sandwiches at Jimmy’s today. Everything nicely presented. Homemade carrot cake especially delicious. Christmas decor very attractive.

Stopped by to grab some lunch, some cheese and onion toasties, lattes, carrot cake. I totally underestimated it, the toasties were really tasty, lovely bread. The coffee were great, no bitterness, lovely smooth and great quality coffee. The carrot cake...well it was absolutely delicious, spicy, moist, sweet, nutty, perfect. So good. Great service too. Really great! Food was fantastic, service was quick. Even from a covid cleanliness way they do really well! The only thing to improve on is more flavour needed in the milkshakes. But I can't think of anything else. Make sure you book before!

Went here today to meet up with family members. Teas/coffees very nice as usual. Scones were a little dry but I enjoyed my cherry one.

Really poor visit last week. The young lad serving was clearly in a mood either that or his customer service is non existent. We both had breakfast and when I asked if inplace if tomato and mushroom I could have an extra egg or bacon he said yes but he'd charge for it. I accept that maybe the tearoom couldn't afford that request but the servers whole demeanour was so negative verging on rudeness. We thought hospitality venues would be bending over backwards to welcome customers, but sadly not on this occasion. One star given as there is no option for zero stars.

Always lovely here, both staff and food, had a takeaway small appetite breakfast and a toasted marshmallow hot chocolate. Was all amazing will definitely be having it again, great quality food that tastes amazing. Also had their toasted paninis previously which are great too. Highly highly recommended place to go.

In a bleak landscape it is so good to find somewhere open. I have always liked Courteneys for a sunny lunchtime but it looks a little different now. They serve takeaway only (obvs) but it is still of the highest quality. I picked up some scones and lemon drizzle cake which were served by very friendly staff. Check them out, I am sure they could do with the support.

Really impressed with this establishment. Visited Bexhill today from Tunbridge Wells with my wife and 2yr old daughter. Weather was awful and visiting Courtney's café really saved the day!! Very warm and friendly staff and fantastic food and coffee! The all day breakfast is very yummy 😋! Will definitely be returning! Keep up the good work guys! 😊 X

Stopped in to Bexhill en route from Kent to Wiltshire, found Courtney's in the Old Town and were glad we did! Polite, freindly and professional staff, good food all in very pleasant surroundings 5 stars for everything including cleanliness and (above and beyond) adherence to C19 regulations.

Cycling on the 1066 walk/cycle path from Crowhurst it was time for a short rest and a coffee. We chose Courteney’s after seeing most tables occupied and where we could watch our bikes through a window. It has a long interesting food menu of classic cafe dishes. Virus protocol was followed correctly. As it wasn’t lunchtime we shared a cheese scone and we both agreed it was out of this world... light, delicate buttery flavour and a cheese crust. Do try it, it’s worth making an effort.

Good atmosphere. Especially enjoyed Christmas with their moving decorations. Super home cooking and quality coffee at affordable prices.

I would love to rate this cafe but am unable, the place is never open! Closed Mondays, Tuesday's and any other time I'm in Bexhill old town, why bother!

What a gem! Lovely coffee/cake/sandwich place. The sandwiches are freshly made and quite filling - no room left on our first visit for a slice of cake. So the next day we returned just for coffee and cake. They had around 6-7 different homemade cakes plus shortbread and various scones. I think the waitress said all of the cakes were gluten-free but not the shortbread or scones. You get a very good size slice of cake. Very friendly service and very reasonable prices . Just across from Manor Gardens where there is free parking.

Always very good quality drinks and food. Service quick and obliging, especially when served by the waitresses. Not so sometimes when a young boy serves who does not seem to understand fully the product he's selling - he thought a cheese based scone went well with strawberry jam (ugh)!
