Great location and the service was good. The bed was also comfortable. Unfortunately, that’s the end of the positives. The room, although quite clean, was very tired and dated. Cracks and marks on the walls. An old mish mash of furniture. They really do need to update and refresh the rooms. The breakfast was absolutely dreadful. It was the most pitiful spread I’ve seen. For an £80 mid week stay I was very disappointed. Realistically a stay here is worth no more than £60. I really wish I’d have stayed somewhere else.

Having picked up a local radio discount voucher I conversed with the hotel via email for booking conditions etc. Really good communication & booking made with ease. My partner & I opted for Sunday lunch and we weren't disappointed. Hot & plentiful food, friendly & attentive staff will highly recommend for a relaxed restaurant with good home cooked food!

My friend and I stayed overnight in this lovely hotel in Rushington on 4th June 2019. The twin room we shared had all the facilities one needs and was clean and warm. The bathroom was good but two things I would recommend: another shelf to hold make-up etc as we found with the two of us it was adequate but ‘more would be better’. When my friend had a shower (handheld shower) water went everywhere as no curtain but I put a plug in and had a bath and washed hair sitting down..so I was happy! Plenty of hot water. Breakfast was very good. The hotel is within walking distance of eateries and normal shops. Wonderful service and the gentleman who ‘booked us in’ was very professional and friendly.

So completely and utterly disappointed booked an afternoon tea about three weeks ago for today as a Mother’s Day treat for my mum and a friend. At time of booking specifically asked what was included and was advised selection of sandwiches, cakes scones baked on the day, a glass of Prosecco and unlimited tea or coffee. When we arrived our booking didn’t seem to have been made. The front of house staff didn’t know what an afternoon tea was, there were no scones or cakes available but the could make us a sandwich, Melba toast and biscuits. We decided not to stay and went elsewhere and would not return or recommend. The only positive was that the member of staff we were dealing with was very polite and apologetic.

We went for our traditional Christmas Day we do every year to this hotel. The hotel and restaurant has a new owner. Friendly but everything was not what it used to be, I hope they can bring the standards back to how the old owners ran this, if they don't I can't see it being there for long. Our Christmas was quite dissapointing.

We had a birthday party at Rustington Manor on Saturday and they really went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly and that everyone had a good time. We had a live band, thank you The Alternatives , you were fantastic, lots of people on the dance floor all night. Our thanks to Sean, Lewis, Jake, Tara and the chef for all your attention in making it such a successful night. ( A little note to all that have been leaving/ reading reviews about Rustington Manor lately... they have been going through a transitional period but I am sure they will bounce back if our party was any thing to go by, so support them and i am sure we will have a lovely venue in our village which is badly needed by our community.)

We were a pre booked group of 15 for festive menu that was all pre ordered. We were sat in the conservatory, which was cold, we waited a long time between courses, food was not good, was of poor quality. Some cutlery was dirty, table was not very clean. The coffee cups were also not very clean and several were changed. The staff especially the manager was unhelpful and rude other staff looked miserable and uninterested. Then to add 10 percent service charge to the bill, which we were not made aware of at time of booking was the final straw in a very poor experience, will not be returning.

A lovely spot near the centre of the village and only a short stroll to the beach. You can even spend a night or two. Ambiance very nice and so were the staff. Though we did find the manager a little bit too much. Sunday Lunch was ok. But very disappointed that they didn't serve nice big chunky vegetables. The ones they did serve looked rather like they came out of a packet of frozen mixed veg.

Rustington needs a restaurant serving good quality British food. Unfortunately Rustington Manor isn't it! We were greeted by someone who told us he wasn't there and to ignore him! We were the only people there and the restaurant was cold - I kept my coat on throughout. The food was poor and not very hot. We had a voucher from the local paper but if you're going to try to entice people in, you need to make an effort and Rustington Manor certainly didn't. We certainly won't be going back to pay full price!

Greeted warmly on arrival, drinks ordered and taken outside whilst we looked at the menu. At £16.95 for two courses and £19.95 for three, its really good value.Menu is extensive with plenty of favourites such as beef burguignon, fish pie and lamb shank. Nothing pretentious or complicated, just tasty food in good sized portions.Waitress was friendly, helpful and attentive. We first came here six months ago and were immediately impressed by the friendliness of the staff, quality of the food and attention to detail. Half a year on and nothing has changed - proving that we have experienced the rule, rather than the exception, with this well run establishment. If we had a "compaint", which we jokingly made, it was that the menu was so extensive and inviting that choosing what to have from the mouthwatering selection was an almost impossible task. The place is easy to find in a quiet area and parking is good, although the decorative gravel does not make life easy for ladies wearing high heels, walking from car to the main entrance. The foyer, bar-area and restaurant itself are warm, welcoming and comfortable. Once your meal is finished you can walk it off by strolling along a well-lit wide road to look at the sea. We did this late at night and felt perfectly safe in this quiet sleepy backwater.

I had forgotten to post a review following several visits over the years, possibly because every time they get everything right, and if there is a problem it gets put right...quickly. The Manor has a tremendous following and it is always advisable to book. When you arrive you are greeted with a smile and shown to your table, unless you fancy a drink in the small bar beforehand. The atmosphere is light and relaxed with contemporary furnishings and the service is always attentive and willing to please. Tables are well spaced with nice place settings, old fashioned standards still work... and with a menu that is not large but offers a wide variety of dishes, both "standards" and some more innovative selections. The wine list is very reasonable with again a good selection. The food is always nicely presented, not too fussy, but again tidy and is really flavoursome. I think the trick here is that there are not too many menu choices and that keeps it simple for the customer and of course the kitchen. You are never rushed which means a very relaxed and enjoyable lunch or dinner.Great.

A reasonable lunch. The food was OK but not great. The starters were fine (white bait and breaded mushrooms being the choices made). Two of our party had the plaice fillet which was beautifully fresh and well cooked. The beef in the beef and ale pie was very good but the "ale" was not very evident and the steak special was good and cooked as requested. The vegetables however were disappointing, with only the broccoli being obviously fresh. The carrots seemed to have come from a tin, the peas were undercooked and the french beans were frozen - nothing wrong with frozen but why not fresh? An absolute plus were the staff who were friendly and helpful, offering excellent service. The price for lunch was very reasonable and the alcohol was also very reasonably priced.

My mother is the local. We like to take her out for Sunday lunch when we visit, and I chose Rustington Manor because of its proximity and also its good trip advisor rating. None of the family - aged between 12 and 93 - were disappointed! Nice atmosphere, comfortable, spacious dining room and excellent service. The friendly staff were courteous, helpful and efficient throughout. A nice, balanced menu offered 2 or 3 course options; we all plumped for 2 (main + dessert) and I think 3 would have been a struggle! There was a reasonable wine selection on offer, too. We shall definitely go back, and remember to take cash, for a 5% discount, although I felt the prices were pretty reasonable anyway.

I have been to this restaurant many times before but on this this occasion I was very disappointed. We received a warm welcome but after that it slowly went down hill. On a hot evening there was very little cold draught beer or cider to choose from as it is the summer and a Friday night this is unacceptable and not for the first time this has happened. Our order was taken and after a short while we were shown to our table the restaurant was not full and we a party of 9 was the largest. My mushroom soup arrived and was tepid and the waiting staff was only giving out bread to people who had ordered the soup We kept asking for the wine list and some water but this was a second thought to the waiting staff, the wine list should be given to any guest first with the menus. The main course got worse my sirloin steak looked grey and very unappetising and no flavour . I did not complain at the time as this would have upset the host who's birthday it was. I ordered the cheese to finish when it arrived there was not stilton on enquiring of the missing item I was asked what menu did I ordered from and said the one I was given. Tea and coffee was fun one of the guests the hosts wife asked for tea it came not in a nice pot but with the bag in the cup floating away. The only right thing that was on the menus was service on included. Please note that we were the only outside guests eating and had the restaurant to out self's and to make you laugh the staff were setting up for breakfast for the next day and cleaning the kitchen while we were still sitting and having coffee maybe we were in the way and they wanted us to leave?

As a family we like to go out and have a festive meal, Rustrington Manor fits the bill it is close by and easy to access. I have been to this restaurant before so as before we had to per-order our meal as we were a party of 9,the night we attended there were other large parties for there Christmas dinners. At first we could not find a person to attend to us as it was very busy but after a while we did manage to get a staff member to serve us drinks before our meal. This to me was the only let down of the evening it would had been nice to be greeted at the main entrance and our parties name taken. Even with the restaurant full the service was very good and the festive dinner was piping hot. The negatives of this restaurant is that you are not sure what drinks they have behind the bar and how many staff they have on. For dessert I had lemon meringue pie with ice cream....it was delicious. Nothing is too much trouble for the waitresses here...we had fresh French bread at the start of the meal and were advised that we could have more if we required it. The service was very good and nothing was too much trouble. Food was of a very good standard, nicely presented hot and above all was extremely tasty. As has already been said a good selection of wine is available at prices that will not break the bank and a nicely stocked bar. My only gripe was that the "London Pride" was served chilled but that is a personal thing and some people may prefer it that way. The dining room has been very tastefully decorated and the first thing one of our party said as he sat down was "Oh good, comfy chairs!" The restaurant was full on Saturday night, but the bookings were staggered and the staffing was well organised to support it. There was always someone available to ask if you needed something. The menu thoughtfully offers a complete range of choices so you can pick from a range of steaks, duck, chicken and pork dishes through to a good selection of seafood and vegetarian. All portions are a good size - and we had great respect for one group on one table who all managed 3 courses and were still able to get up and walk out afterwards! You certainly get value for money - and the food has taste and style in the way it is cooked and presented. It is good that the menu on the internet is the menu you are given - well worth taking a look at the internet site. Also a good choice of wines at a range of prices. We will certainly be going back to try some of the other offerings. It was a treat to experience dining somewhere that combines high standards and respect for the customer with a degree of informality and friendliness.

Our only grumbles and that is overstating it if I am honest.....the cauli for Sunday lunch had no sauce and was not an option either plus the seats were a wee bit uncomfortable for those of us with short legs.More importantly the ambiance was relaxing, the facilities clean and the restaurant was immaculate.Great find and I am now trying to find reasons to revisit yippeee.

I had the bouillabaisse for a starter and it was delicious. My wife had the creamy brie and she was in raptures. Theses were only the starters! For main I had beef bourguignon and my wife had pork belly ribs. Not only were they absolutely delicious they were very filling. A couple of glasses of house red and a cafe latte rounded it all off. We didn't have room for a sweet!! We would recommend Lodwick's to anybody especially if they wanted a special meal out. Jack, the waiter, was very new but did his very best and helped make a wonderful evening.

Had a meal just before Christmas and booked that night for Mother's Day. Menu, service, food just excellent. Great wine list with nothing over £20, with a NZ Marlborough Sauv Blanc at £12.50 (almost half of what we paid at nearby chain). Sunday roast so lean and tender, loads of fresh hot veg. Young serving staff but all so helpful and attentive and well turned out. We liked the owners' previous restaurant in Ferring and were sad to see them go so delighted they are even closer now.

Left it to the last minute for sunday lunch then remembered this pub, had one cancellation so managed to fit two of us in. Staff really welcoming, the atmosphere was lovely like stepping back in time in this beautiful old pub , had a table in the restaurant, one roast beef & one pork belly which we couldnt fault, a lovely selection of vegetables, followed by two Apple crumbles & custard complements to the chef. We will definatly be back soon. Thankyou.

Went today for a couple of coffees, after waiting 5 minutes some young guy who had been folding napkins eventually wandered over looking most disinterested. I asked for 2 coffees and he said ' can't do hot drinks '. No apology or reason why. Needless to say with 2 other places nearby, West Park and The Waverley, where you feel welcome will not be coming back here.
