Terrible service, rude staff, barely speak English, extremely long waiting time for food collection, no seating for elders or disabled whilst waiting for their order.

Worst service they promise Pau bhaji will be ready in 15 to 20 minutes but it wasn’t ready over 40 minutes and I had to walk out use less staff needs to be changed I will never recommend anyone

Normally brilliant but today they had very bad service! I waited 15 minutes patiently to be served and another 30 minutes for order which no they did not make fresh! Most is on display days old or from the fridge. They forgot an item which I accept could be a mistake but actually strongly believe it is due to incompetency. When called to let them know they said call back after 10 minutes. So after 10 minutes no apology, no action. Shockingly poor.

Excellent food prepared on time and according to specification for a number of our events and customers. I ordered Pani Puri and Bhel, and this was served in a timely manner with a friendly face. A lovely and comfy cafe just outside the hustle and bustle of Leicester City. I always stop here when I come down from London. Will be revisiting again and highly recommend to all.

We placed an order for chips and cheese and sat inside hoping to receive a hot meal. After 10 minutes we were given warm chips with stone cold cheese grated on top. The cheese was so cold, it still had the condensation left over from the fridge! My wife kindly requested the staff to remove the cheese as this was not the ‘cheesy chips’ we were expecting, however still happy to eat the warm chips. After finishing eating, I kindly requested for the staff member who took our payment to return the 75p extra we had paid for the cheese. Her response was - “ you have wasted our cheese, so you are not getting a refund”. I reminded her that we returned the cheese as it was borderline frozen, and more importantly, we did not consume the cheese. The response and attitude we received from this member of staff was rude and disrespectful. I was told I was wrong for asking for a refund for the cheese and not to argue with her. I requested for her to call the manager/owner and clarify why I am being charged for something I returned and did not eat. I was repeatedly told that I was wrong for asking to return 75p and told to leave, sarcastically being asked to come back again for another meal. After remaining in the restaurant, the call was finally made to the owner/manager and the rude member of staff was immediately told to return my money. Again I was told by the member of staff as she returned my 75p that I was wrong for asking for part of my money back, for food that I returned and did not consume. A note to the owner - Rushey sweet Mart has gained its reputation through quality food produce, complimented by friendly and attentive staff, however from our experience ‘Rushey Pani Puri’ is a complete contrast to this. What a disappointment and let down to your company. Horrid experience and we will not make the mistake of returning ever again

Twice we have ordered Paani Puri from here and both times the potato mix was old and smelled bad. First time we didn't fuss but second time we thought we'd complain but the lady at Rushey was so rude and patronising. Avoid if you value your health.

Always our go-to place for vegetarian Indian food. Good selection always as well.

1st time visited store and here is the review... Do not disrespect your hard earned money by spending here in expectation of real or authentic Indian taste. How can you expect peanuts and Gujarati Mixtures with tomato ketchup added in Chinese Bhel ... I am sure they must not be aware about the taste of Ragada puri, which they made with chutneys from chiller and No Ragada at all. Absolutely disappointed with the level of service and the way they handled complaint.

I ordered Sev Puri today with portion of Chips, waited 20 mins and after 20 mins i was informed i need to wait 20 min more for chips. There were no other customers so they were not busy at all so i guess spending 40min to make chips is absolutely rubbish customer service. On top of that they gave me wrong order, i ordered Sev Puri and when i got home it was pani puri in box. Or i guess they dont know how to make sev puri i . It was Poori with bland potatoes and peanuts, no flavours or no effort put in to make dish tasteful. In the end i asked for a refund for the chips and this was my last time ever trying any food from this place. Bad customer service, rubbish food, and worse experience to buy indian chats in Leicester. Never going again. I would not recommend anyone to try it out unless you have spare time to wait around for order which eventually will come Wrong.

Total dive. Food poisoning and diarrhoea following a small meal here. Appaling standards. Visited yesterday and was the worst food in all of Leicester. Surely they should know as Indians we are aware what chaat puri is. A simple snack food. Appalingly it was served as a liquid curry with puri pieces floating in spicy green liquid not chutney black chana exactly 10 clumps of potato and no papri nor dahi. No dates chutney. Its a shame such a recipe was served as chaat puri. The manchurian rice was again a shame and just reheated rice with the hardest manchurian balls, they were rock hard. Unpalatable. There was no one at the till to attend and no response to the bell. We had to just leave paying for unhygienic poorly prepared food that's given us diarrhoea and upset stomach with food poisoning as the rice dish was simply reheated. Surely, owner of this place should be ashamed, apologetic at the standard of food served. Not to mention the poor service but most of all to confuse papri chaat served as puri batata floating in green curry sauce. Reheated manchurian rice that caused food poisoning. Will be writing to food hygiene authorities on the standard of food served. Avoid this place at all costs!!

Disappointed this is the 3rd time it's happened even we were an early hour before closing time and to be told the kitchen Is closed. Amend your hours on entrance with clear instructions for the last order to be taken. Not going again queuing up and to be told the same response. Good luck

Very bad service. 05-08-2023 Today I order Jacket Potato 🥔 they serve in thermocol dish and cheese start metling with Plastic( Thermocol) . I told her but she didn’t except. Wrong argument and rudely behaved. Not good for health food with plastic. 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

Unfortunately, this is the second or third time we received a take away portion which was just about enough to feed a 2yr old. We have noticed on Fridays and Saturdays they don't fill the portions properly enough knowing customers are unlikely to come back. I would recommend checking portion sizes before paying. Service is usually slow but can be forgiven if the quality and quantity of food bought makes up for it. Clearly its a rip off at a time when everyone is struggling. Totally Unacceptable.

The fried aubergine was too greasy and very salty. not crispy at all. I returned the aubergine dish after taking the 1st bite but they still charged me for the dish. The food was delayed for at least half an hour. Drinks portions are very small for what they are charging. Never again!!!

Amazing food always, and relatively cheap too!

Food was good especially paneer rice and chilli chips. The Pani Puri itself was disappointing. Food came out hot and fresh which can't be faulted. The people working there were getting annoyed at us asking for plates and spoons but they provided no cutlery how did they expect us to eat. Having the booths means there's limited space to sit.

Said it will be 20 minutes but took 45 minutes. Extremely slow service.

My husband placed an order for pani puri for takeaway , he waited there for 30 mins and then after 45 mins we just lost the hope and left . Worst customer service ever i have seen in my life . Waited 30 minutes for a pani puri take away and guess what!! I was the only customer inside the restaurant. Lol! Hope the food will taste good atleast.

Pani puri eat in was great. Pani puri family box, not so much. Loved their Batata Rotli though! Also, very friendly, great service.

Gone downhill a lot! The Pani Puri family set used to be the best but now they use less chickpeas and more potatoes. Less fresh coriander and replaced red onions with stronger white leaving my family very disappointed!

I visited this place for the first time. I have walked past from here many time but decided to try them for the first time. I only placed two PauBhaji over the phone and asked for collection. As I went in to collect, it was clean, no other customers, lady asked me for my order, she went in to find out, she got busy with other things, forgot about my order. All of sudden she seen me and then reminded here again. Gave my prepared order, asked me if I needed anything else. No problem with order. The PauBhaji wasn’t the best but it wasn’t bad either. It was standard Pau Bhaji. Could have been more flavourful, there was one singular butter which some people may like or not. Butter is added for richer flavour or taste. It wasn’t oily. I may try other foods from them in future suck as Samosa, Matar Paneer Dish and May be other Savioury food.

Really very Disappointed it’s taking to much time for small orders. Still waiting 20 min for small orders.

The two stars are only for the Pani puri, is one of the best I have had in Leicester. We also ordered a Dabeli which took them half and hour to prepare and it wasn’t good after all the wait. Spring rolls weren’t good either. Staff doesn’t had any idea about kitchen’s timing and how long it’s gonna take for the order. All they keep saying is ‘your order is coming’.

The reason for 2 star is justified. In actual fact I was going to put 1 star. Hope the owner sees this and love to hear his/her comments. Ordered my take away at 5.50pm and was told it will be 15 -20 minutes to prepare food and ready for collection. I turned up at 6.10pm and was told its coming. There was a lady prior to me also had same experience. She Ordered hers half hour before and also had to wait. Anyway after few minutes wait I asked lady how long Is it before I can have my order. She said its coming. Also the communication between staff and kitchen is a lot to be desired. I said 2 times to the same lady what I had ordered and yet she asks me again. Also when I came I told the other lady what I have come for. When the order finally arrived at 6.25pm she said u paid for it . I was honest and said no I need to pay. I actually told the lady how I felt as a customer kept waiting and the lady prior to me. The lady just stared at me as if she don't understand what we were saying!!!!. No acknowledgement either. No apology to keep waiting. Finally on plus side the food was nice. Otherwise I would have given 0 stars. THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE HOWEVER THE FOOD IS NICE.

Really disappointed with the customer service at this place. Have been ordering from here for quite a few years, probably since it first opened, and over the years, their customer service has got worse and worse. Staff are rude and have no telephone manner when taking an order. Also the last couple of times that I have ordered they have made mistakes in the order, including adding ingredients into the order when we have specifically asked them not to, or having items missing in the order. When calling back up to have the order rectified, without checking, every time the person who answers the phone blames the mistake on you, and says 'that's what you said you wanted when you ordered'. Don't think they have ever heard of the phrase 'the customer is always right'. They have no knowledge on how to deal with complaints or resolve issues. Errors with orders and staff rudeness has just been getting worse and really fed up with it now! Won't be ordering again, there are so many similar restaurants and takeaways in Leicester who sell similar food. Would rather go elsewhere in future.

When I ordered food I clearly ordered food food without a certain spice missing. I will ordered a still lemon juice. I sipped it once. Stupidly they put the spice in there. What is the point of telling them what I don't eat. I was still charged for their mistake.

We've often been in early afternoon, and they haven't got what we've wanted. and the staff aren't very helpful and don't seem to be bothered at all.

Great service, food slightly on the spicy/greasy side for me but quite delicious.

Only good for chats. Rest of the food is sweet. Food served in plastic containers with plastic cutlery , glasses and straws which I thought was now banned . Eating in is a joke as one has to keep fetching food from a counter. Thought the system followed was due to pandemic, but surely not now.

Good food but staff could do with some training. Right now, order to go, if you eat in give them your name (please take note of my name) otherwise you'll get "excuse me, hello, your *bhel* )" shouted whilst other customers are watching 😆

I took my parents here for lunch. It's a small cafe offering casual dining, serving Indian and Indo/Chinese snacks and savouries. The food was great, however the service was somewhat to be desired. The staff seemed really indifferent, almost as if they don't want you there. Added to that, it's not table service, they bring your dishes out of the kitchen and place them on a counter for you to collect and take to your table. We ordered several dishes between us and the dishes came out at different times, meaning I was constantly having to get up and down collecting food from the counter. Not the ideal eating experience.

Never go there..very poor service. staff doesn’t know how to treat customers. I went for small portions, that’s why they didn’t allow me to sit and eat, they said before buying they closing by 8:00 I was there 7:30. They given me takeaway-I wanted dine inn, still I sat on table, food was cold and old too still I didn’t say anything.I started eating from bag and lady staff said you cannot eat here we closing. I said as you said you closing by an 8 at this moment still there is time, lady said not allowed to eat here after 7:30, I asked where is written down I couldn’t see anywhere written down after 7:30 no eat in. there was no visual. Poor!🤯

We asked for a Rushey special chips and they just gave us plain chips and cheese. And portion was very tiny. When we complained lady on phone was very rude when we asked for a free item next time around.

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Was conned out of my change. Woman on the checkout till distracted me by talking to me about the order and never gave me my change.. a few mins later I realised and asked for my change to which she replied that she had already given my change to me. Order was supposed to take only 20 mins... waited almost an hour with a hungry child in the car.. if I had known it would take that long I wouldn't have placed an order in the first place..... no apology from them and awful attitude. On top of that.... the food was so ferociously hot... completely ruined the enjoyment of the food. Never ever going there again!!!!!

I love this place. The food is so delicious and reasonably priced. Its pure vegetarian but as a meat eater, I don't miss meat at all when I eat here. Love, love, love! As authentic as it gets.

Serve warm or hot food, not freezing cold, or at least ask customer if food requires heating. Food taste was good, however asked for spicy but gave mild! Mediocre at best could be alot better.
