Walked around for over an hour and couldn't find the place. 26 the crescent is a takeaway and 31 high street (which appears as the address on some websites) is a wine bar. Don't waste your time. Go to prezzo instead.

Came here about 5 years ago and the waiter was so rude I was shocked! Decided to go back there tonight and there was a large table of 40 at the back and waited for 5 minutes to be acknowledged or seated. Unfortunately by the time my partner had returned from the toilet I was clearly still invisible, so decided to leave. Maybe leave it another 5 years and go in in an illuminous outfit this time!

Visited this restaurant whilst staying in leatherhead and spotted this attractive restaurant whilst looking around for somewhere to eat. The whole restaurant looked very clean and pleasant. The welcome was warm and we were shown to a table by a very attentive waiter who proceeded to take our order. Our meals came out nice and hot and well presented. Both meals were top notch ! When we entered the restaurant it was fairly quiet, however by the time we left, it was packed! As non locals, but as people who come to this town every autumn to commute into London for a few days, we will most certainly return! Highly recommended.

Food and service excellent as usual, I have eaten here many times before and never had a bad meal, I often ask for something slightly different than on the menu and they are always helpful and make great suggestions. My friends always ask for Indian food when coming from Germany and they were very happy with the quality of the food and the service. So far the best Indian food I have so far this year.

The usual high standard of service in the past, has drastically reduced to a bad tempered waiter, which we met for the first time.. firstly to clarify The European waiter was courteous and showed us to our seat. The cold air from the air conditioner was blowing cold air and very drafty. We told the European man,he said it was fine to move. It was still too drafty when we moved... The Indian waiter behind the counter, said looking at me angrily, you keep moving ,go and sit over there he said looking at me aggressivly..I was mortified. What was meant to be a nice relaxing evening, turned into a sketch from faulty towers. I have never experienced such disgraceful serrvice in my life. When we finished our meal and wanted to take the rest of the food home , he gave the containers to us on our table for us to put the remainder in ourselves...He should be fired, he's let the rest of the staff down big time. .what a sham . Never go there.

Before I start this review let me just say that I have been a regular at this restaurant for many years when it used to be called Lalakash and have spent hundreds of pounds there and always given a five pound tip on every ocassion. I have always been very happy with the food and the service too. However that all changed on Saturday the 14th of July when my wife and I were subjected to the most appalling customer service that we have ever experienced at any restaurant ever! We went in to the restaurant and spoke to the first waiter who was a Caucasian man. O would like to make it absolutely clear that I have no issue with this man at all and he was polite and helpful. This was not the case though with the other waiter. The problems started when we sat at a table where the restaurants air conditioning system was blowing a cold unpleasant draught right on to us. Because of this we tried to move tables several times in an attempt to not have cold air blowing straight on us. This was an entirely reasonable thing to do and in fact we were given permission to move to a different table by the first waiter. However the second waiter then intervened and spoke to my wife in a very patronizing and disrespectful way and asked us why we kept moving tables and told us that we couldn't keep doing that. Let me just say that no restaurant with any sense of good customer service would ever let staff speak to a customer in that way. He then started pointing at my wife and telling her off as if she was a five year old child and told us that we should go and sit by the window. The rest of our experience wasnt any better either. He was very unfriendly and curt in the way that he took our order and when he bought it out didnt serve the food in a friendly or courteous manner. Interestingly he was friendly and welcoming to all the other customers who visited the restaurant and there was a noticeable and clear difference in the way that he treated us. By the way my wife is black and I believe that this was part of the reason why he was so disrespectful in the way that he treated her. Our meal was lovely by the way and the other waiter was extremely pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately though after being customers at this restaurant for many years and good tippers as well I'm sorry to say that we will never ever eat here again. For a restaurant to treat loyal customers in the way that we were treated and especially the way that my wife was treated is unforgivable. Sorry Ruchi but in the case of this waiter you totally blew it Seriously you cannot expect to treat your customers like that and for anyone to be happy about it. Never again!!

We booked for 16 people here for our 40th wedding anniversary & turned out to be the best decision we made. The staff were very helpful & had everything nicely laid out before we arrived, food was delicious, & staff were always on hand to get what ever we wanted, The bill was reasonable. We will book here again & many of our relatives & friends have been converted to this curry house, well done

We have used this both as a sit-in restaurant and as a Take-A-Way in its previous name. The new name, food and service are every bit as good as the previous, would definitely recommend either eat in or Take-A-Way.

Since it changed hands, I have been meaning to try this restaurant. Unfortunately, I was met with a pretty miserable waiter who gloomily showed me to my table. He reminded me of the janitor in the Harry Potter films. The food was pretty average so nothing to report apart from if you want a doggy bag you will find old “Misery guts” trying to squash all you dishes into one container. Presumably these tin foil containers are too expensive to give away lightly. In any event the food is no better than what you can get at Waitrose except far more expensive.

Have been wanting to try this indian for ages since it has chamged hands from Lal akash....so glad we went great improvement! My mum visited for the weekend so whilst my husband was away on a stag we gave it a try! Why not! 😁 the service was fantastic, very attentive and the restaurant itself was lovely inside. I opted for chicken rogan josh whilst my mum had chicken pasanda. Both were delicious we did order two rice as we were unsure on the portion size...good idea..1 is definitely not enough for two people, just a heads up. We ordered a peshwari naan, however when the food came it was just a plain naan...we told the very kind waiter who quickly brought is a fresh peshwari naan and left us the other one at no extra charge...all sorted very quickly without trouble so a big thumbs up for! 👍 the chicken was melt in the mouth and you could tell it was all freshly made! Excellent value for money too! Definitely will return with the hubby in the near future! Thanks ruchi!

We are visitors to the area - We were a bit worried when we walked in as it was almost empty (which is often a bad sign) but really shouldn't have. This was one of the best curries we have ever had!! I had the Naga Jalpuri which was awesome...nice and hot but didn't lose the flavour because of it and the peshwari naans weren't just stuffed full of coconut looking like they'd come out of a packet they were freshly cooked and lovely!! The waiter was a bit like an Indian Del boy but very nice and attentive. If we ever come back down this way will definitely return!!

This is my 3rd takeaway order from this restaurant and each time I have been impressed. I had the Lamb Biryani (which comes with a veg curry) £9.25, Bombay Aloo £3.85, Muttar Paneer £3.85 and chips £1.95. Arrived in good time and delivered by very polite driver. All choices are a good size portion and all very tasty. There was sufficient food for me to have 2 decent sized meals, good for me as on a night duty, altogether great value for under £20.00. If the order is over £24.95 it comes with a free large Indian beer.

This was the Lal Akash and i see people still post reviews for that restaurant. On the receipt when you pay it still says Lal Akash as well. Anyway, the menu is different - with some more Asian but not Indian dishes. The classic curries are also there. We went on a Saturday with no booking. Staff were pleasant, and starters and mains were excellent. Value was decent at £100 plus tip for 4, so would certainly return.

Tried on a whim! The food was great, extremely tasty! The staff were very attentive and welcoming. The chicken korma was sweet but enjoyable, the vindaloo not as hot as expected but was very tasty. The pilau rice is fragrances really well and garlic naans great! Will definitely return here in the future. A well deserved 5*

Not as good as previous ownership. Service variable/got our order wrong and poorly advised on particular dish selection. Some elements as tasty as when we have eaten there before. Overall ok but will be exploring other options rather than rushing back.
