Ruby Murray Bar & Grill in Medway

From the warm welcome to the excellent food and service this is the perfect spot if you fancy an Indian meal. The menu has loads of choice and has a slightly different twist to the standard Indian restaurant menu. We don't like anything too spicy and sought advice on ordering. Our food was full of flavour but not too hot at all. We will definitely be returning.

We were recommended this establishment from friends, once visited we found the food to be exceptional, food tasted great, natural colours, friendly staff who were well dressed and polite, we will be visiting this great place again for sure. They have a great selection of vegetable and meat cuisines.

I recently ate here with friends, the standard of curries were what I would expect from a tesco microwave meal. The lamb tikka curry resembled a beef stew and the chicken Bhuna (madras hot) was completely tasteless and not spicy at all. If you want authentic Indian cuisine, avoid this place at all costs as you will be very disappointed.

The restaurant is a little hidden Indian gem in Chatham! Lovely authentic proper Punjabi food right at our door step. Delicious food, some food items are fusion variety aswell, they cater some of the very popular dishes of North India. Staff are very professional, quick service, chefs seem to very experienced and management is too good. One of the young owner came around and spoke to us, made us feel very welcomed and looked after us so very well. Good ambience, very neat, clean, tidy, hygienic place. A must try Indian restaurant in Medway, I would highly recommend it to all.

5* from start to finish. It’s the first time I have ordered from here and definitely won’t be the last. 1. Rang to see what was vegan on the menu and received such polite customer service 2. Food arrived well within time and was hot. 3. Delivery driver was lovely and polite (think same lady as on phone) 4. Packaging was eco-friendly (cardboard box with recyclable lid) 5. Food was amazing! So so tasty!

Absolutely stunning takeaway. Pre ordered on New Year’s Eve. Arrived bang on time and the most gorgeous food I have experienced. I would advise anyone to change their current Indian food restaurant and this place a go.

Ruby Murray was recommended to me for my birthday meal. So glad! We throughly enjoyed all the dishes. Not many places serve a selection of delicious fish like here so since then we’ve visited again as a weekly Friday treat. Would highly recommend it, the ambiance is lovely and the friendly staff seem to know exactly what we’re after each time! Cannot wait to visit on Christmas Eve with all our neighbours.

Having grown up locally, I wasn’t expecting much from a restaurant in this location but I was more than pleasantly surprised. Really friendly and efficient front of house staff and lovely flavours. Delicately spiced, without any mouth numbing heat, although I ‘m sure they could do that if you really wanted it! And happy to cater for vegans too. Wonderful meal. And very reasonably priced.

Our first takeaway at the Ruby Muray was a total disappointment. I realise peoples tastes are different and this review is my own experience. Ordered Monk fish curry as we have enjoyed this dish at other places, was offered normal or Punjabi, decided to try Punjabi, what a mistake! so hot it killed the Monkfish taste and the fish did not seem to be that fresh, if i was warned how hot Punjabi is, i would have ordered normal. Tikka Massala Lamb had a similar heat and difficult to eat due to spices. The Chili fried potatoes were not fried but boiled and tasted under cooked. The Aloo Aubergine was mainly Potato, again undercooked, with very little Aubergine. As this is an above average priced take away, i expected better and will not use again.

Unbelievable food and service. Firstly greeted and welcomed as if I’ve know the place and people for years which was lovely. The menu especially the seafood options was exquisite considering I am pisceterian and my family are all meat eaters. Food portions and timing was spot on and the flavours were so authentic and nothing like I’ve tried before. Great selection of drinks available and topped the evening off with a free drink on the house. 5* will be making this a regular on a weekly Basis

Went for dinner on Saturday night for the first time and was really impressed with the hospitality and food. It’s great to have an authentic Punjabi restaurant close to home. The food was really well cooked with fresh ingredients and served with a smile. The owner was really pleasant and obviously proud of his business and rightly so, well done and keep up the great work. We’ll be returning soon 👍

What a simply wonderful find. Tucked away discreetly this absolute gem of a family restaurant, is nothing other than 'First Rate. A warm welcome, on arrival, courteous staff who were police and respectful. Food was served in a timely way and was of a good portion size. The menu was extensive and the Head Chef helped us with our food choices. Simply Super Service, fantastic food and a high end environment all added to the feel good factor or dining with these guys. Will we return - try and stop us .....

Food was very good, weren't rushed staff friendly. Cobra on draft, food came out in a timely manner,but didn't feel rush. Everywhere was very clean.

Decided last minute to eat out rather than have takeaway. Great interior and food was stunning. Sat our host was brilliant on advising on the menu. A great token gift was he cooked us some beautiful battered fish.

Went in on my own for curry cause other half was away they made me feel welcome and comfortable. As for the food had the mustard chicken starter which melted in my mouth and a chicken karai main which they asked how hot I wanted...

The best food I have had eaten in a long time! Quality ingredients and authentic flavours deliver an amazing eating experience. My personal favourite is the lamb chops, a must try. The fish menu is impressive with garlic chilli king prawns and soft shell crab....

First time, ordered a home delivery. 20 minutes, delivered, hot and smelled lovely. The lamb and chicken. We're; melt in the mouth,Tender and the sauce was superb. Def,will expand my choice of their menue. We'll done all :)

We had a lovely curry delivered tonight but was a bit spoilt by the missing chips from my daughters lamb chop meal. Other than that, it was very nice and delivered in a good time.

Me and my brother had a mixed grill for 2 which was absolutely amazing.. the sauces they served with the poppadoms I've never had before but they where amazing also.. along with the garlic and chilli nan breads.. I cannot praise the service and food...

As someone that used to travel to London regularly for tayyabs this restaurant is up there with the best, if not better. Friendly staff and the food is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend the lamb chops. Will most definatly be going back and recommending.

Lovley indian mezze style food. Succulent meat and well flavoured. A great change to a traditional curry. Do not hesitate to try.

The mixed grill is a must! The lamb melts in the mouth. The naan tikka wraps are a great alternative too.
