Nice pancakes and coffee. Shabby environment and staff forgot one of our drinks. Another staff member made up for it though. Nice enough but not sure I'd race back.

Our group of 7 (5 adults and 2 children) had booked a table for brunch on Sunday. I’m not keen on the traditional eggs, bacon, sausage, etc and this place didn’t disappoint. The food was the nicest and most interesting choice I’ve seen for a long time. The food was absolutely delicious. Very nice coffee too. Such pleasant staff. We will definitely be back.

Lovely local cafe in Shirehampton with friendly and efficient service. Food is beautifully presented and very tasty! My brunch was a potato rosti, smashed avocado, lovely golden halloumi and eggs in a balsamic glaze, cooked to perfection. Ideal for young parents, friends, families and couples to hang out! Popular in the area and thoroughly recommended

burnt sweet potato fries , burnt buttermilk chicken, stone cold stale bread and took forever to arrive , 2nd time using and will never order again , do not recommend at all

Lugar local para familias y fácil de ir. Los cafés eran buenos y las porciones decentes. La comida estaba claramente fresca y bien preparada. Los huevos otomanos eran inusuales y sabrosos. No para llenar. Huevos un poco mal cocinados. Tortitas sabrosas y bien hechas. Buena música y buen rollo.

Average grub at best. Had poached eggs, toast and bacon. All of it was fairly cold. Egg white still snotty, bacon was thin and greasy. No butter on the toast. Give mine one star. Others had burgers and chips, which they said were ok. One of us had the Mac and cheese, which was a 2 out of 5 (very dry and probably reheated). Shame. Try elsewhere and won't be back.

Comida muy sabrosa, los desayunos en particular son tan buenos. Lo visito regularmente y mi único inconveniente es que a veces el café con leche de avena es aceitoso y amargo, otras veces absolutamente delicioso. Es un poco acertado y fallido, puede depender de la marca de leche de avena o tal vez el personal no ha sacudido el cartón. Personal acogedor, buen lugar. Y los chocolates calientes son el cielo. Doggy friendly!

Ruby Jeans in Shirehampton, Bristol is a fantastic venue!!! Probably the best coffee in Bristol, definitely in the best coffee in Shirehampton. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. It's a great place to meet friends and/or to go alone. The food is delicious, with great portion sizes. You can eat in or takeaway. Sunday roasts are an absolute treat, for meat eaters and vegetarians. There is something for everyone. Ruby Jeans is a delightful venue at the heart of the community. Family run, with compassion and love for all who visit. Thank you, Ruby Jeans. Keep up the good work <3 :-) <3 Food 5 stars. Service 5 stars. Atmosphere 5 stars.

Perfect little gem of a place to eat, not too far from the motorway. Glad we deviated our route to have a meal here.

Lovely food and friendly helpful staff

Yesterday 26th Jan 15 of us from a christening party had the Sunday roast with all the trimmings. I think some had chicken. I had nut roast. The meals were very generous in portions. Most plates were clean after the meal....... The service was excellent. We were given a room upstairs which had ample room to move about. The restaurant allowed the room to be decorated the previous day, giving it a lovely party atmosphere. Thank you Ruby Blue Jeans. I know several people will be back for Sunday lunch.

We hired the function room for a surprise baby shower for my sister and it was great. The buffet was delicious, service outstanding, and really good value for money. We had our own dedicated member of staff on the upstairs bar who worked really hard and served us with a smile in spite of our many and various demands. Communication in the lead up to the event was excellent. Would highly recommend this venue for a private event with about 20 guests. Special thanks to Kasha. Special mention to the incredible scotch eggs.

Had some great food at Ruby's met up with some family and service was good and the food was tasty, I got a chicken burger and fries kids size cause I wasn't really hungry cause I ate a few too many mince pies earlier in the day.

The atmosphere felt cold and harsh, but the food was the most disappointing part of the visit. The meat version of the breakfast stack was a small portion. It wouldn't have been enough to satisfy my 9yr old! The base of the "stack" was a large hash brown which I imagine could be very nice. But mine was burnt to an almost black crisp! Exploding under knife and tasted burnt and greasy. There were a couple of overcooked bacon rashers and one sausage, very herby tasting. This is not to my liking for breakfast, but that's a preference. The real problem with it was that it was very grainy and chewy in texture. Overcooked, looked like it had been broiled, no colour to it and the colourless skin peeling off. Then it was cut in half length ways and added to the "stack". Overall a very odd and disappointing experience.

Me and my partner came here 2 days ago for brunch! The manager and staff accommodated us able to give us different options when coming in with a voucher. Service was unmatched the ladies serving us gave us an experience not many would have been willing to give!!! Very grateful the food and cocktails were amazing, alongside this we were met with a lovely atmosphere. Highly reccommend!

Disfrutamos del menú festivo de 3 platos con amigos y colegas. Estaba delicioso. Vale la pena el dinero. El personal era atento, educado y alegre. Gran ambiente. Sin duda recomendaría este bistró para algo un poco más especial que la norma.

Absolutely love Ruby Jeans. Their breakfast stacks are works of art and damn tasty too! Ideal for special occasions or just because. I even love their teacups which are a perfect shade of yellow

I ordered 2 salads which should have contained leaves, vine tomatoes, cucumber and roasted peppers however, I received a box of leaves with 3 halves of baby tomatoes! No cucumber and no peppers! Not impressed. Also, the paninis that I ordered were ciabattas which were nice but not what was ordered.

Solo quería algo ligero así que opté por un sándwich de queso y cebolla. Lamentablemente estaba muy seco y poco apetitoso, un poco de ensalada para darle algo de color, o incluso algunas patatas fritas pueden haber ayudado. We love coming in whether that is for brunch, curry club or just a coffee. The team are always so friendly, the coffee is great and most importantly the food is fantastic 👌

Visiting daughter is Bristol and ordered for home delivery. Great menu, Easy to order came in good time . Food was very well packaged and food looked and smelt lovely . Well tasty juices burgers and chicken burger and loved the loaded fries. Definitely recommend and will have again

Excellent menu for food and drink, just parking a little disappointing.

I used Ruby Jeans to cater for a birthday party with 26 guests. I only contacted them 10 days beforehand but they were really helpful, quickly responding to my enquiry and they helped me to choose a variety of food that would keep my guests well fed and also meet my budget. Their food options were great with plenty of options including a wide range of options for vegans and children. The food itself was very tasty with generous portions. I'd definitely recommend using them for catering whether for a party, for a work lunch or for something else. Thanks very much!

Discovered this gem of a Café with excellent food, friendly service, great coffee & fine teas. My seafood chowder was creamy and rich in flavours, thoroughly recommended!

Staff were amazing atmosphere was cozy I admit we were a party of around 40 so the stress was on for them but my meal was the third to last to come out beef brisket roast it looked good tasted just ok but was not hot so points knocked off for the food

food was stone cold as though it hadn't been hot when leaving or maybe microwaved. onion rings just a big stuck together mess, slaw was flavourless and unseasoned and burger bun was sloppy and soggy. disgusting, would never order from here again.

Lovely cafe, food is really good quality and a range of options. Nice decor and friendly staff, bit slow when busy. Highly recommended for brunch, great selection of coffees, hot and cold drinks! They also do a lot of different themes/offer night e.g steak and quiz night.

Lovely place, we went for my birthday and I’m so glad we did! Bottomless brunch was amazing, our server jack (?) dealt with a busy cafe and also was able to make the most amazing cocktails and keep checking up on us. What a great guy, we would definitely come back again!

Meat stack.... enough said. It's lovely! Had it a few times. Last one I had was a little spicy but that's new! I'll ask for no spice next time. 4star for the unexpected spice. Accommodating to dietary requirements.

We had lunch here and can highly recommend it, lovely home cooked food and welcoming atmosphere. My husband had the meat stack and I, being vegetarian, had the smokey beans on sourdough, all very tasty! Vegetarians have a great selection of interesting food. We will be back!

From enquiry through to payment, the staff at Ruby Jeans were amazing. I booked a table for 6 people as a casual baby shower Sunday breakfast, as my friend didn't want a big fuss. We were given a corner table with plenty of space. Not pushed to order anything until we were ready, lots of chatting. Delicious bacon sourdough sandwich, exactly how I asked for it (a bit crunchy, yum!) and we were allowed to bring in our own celebration cake (for a fee). You can tell it is a really lovely neighbourhood independent cafe, staff all friendly with customers/locals, and super attentive staff. Thank you so much :)

Really enjoyed our visit to Ruby Jean's. I had the vegan stack and my boyfriend had the veggie stack which were both delicious. Sadly they were out of the smashed patties for my step-son but he enjoyed some chips and a shake. Service was really good, friendly and prompt. The Café was a bright spot on an otherwise desolate high street.

I don't want to shout to loudly, but if you don't go, you don't know what your missing. It was the curry night. 2 meat options or a vegetable curry, with a portion of rice and naan. Not so much you feel overstuffed, but enough to feel satisfied. The meat curry was very meaty, not just a little meat, tender and flavourful. We'll certainly return.

Not friendly, long wait for coffee , very weak coffee , I ordered 2 Americano , they arrived in 2 different sizes .

We stopped in for lunch after visiting the local Shirehampton market. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the space is modern but also very relaxed and inviting. The menu is diverse with very reasonable prices. They have a range of breakfast/brunch, lunch and evening meal choices including vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. I had a BLT with chips, it was cooked to a very high standard a d absolutely delicious. Dogs are welcome and there is a separate menu just for them :) There is ramp at the front of the shop for wheelchair/pushchair access along with an outside seating area for those who wish to smoke or prefer to be out in the open. Lastly.. They have their own alcohol licence, so you can even enjoy an adult beverage with your meal! I highly recommend!

Lovely little place and great food

Horrendous customer service. Server was rude after I asked if anyone else was serving as he chose to stand around chatting whilst we waited to be served. The owner will claim he was dealing with a customer. He could have said he’d be over in a minute or say to the lady he was with that if she wasn’t ready to order he would come back. The owner then messaged me to say I lacked politeness which was noted by other customers - he means the others who were sat with the lady he was” serving”, there was nobody else there. Great job. Well done.

Was spoken to rudely by a man serving yesterday because I dared ask if there was somebody else serving while he left the serving area (after we walked in) to talk to a friend and pet their dog for several minutes. It wasn’t a customer as the woman was shouting the server’s name from the door for a while before he started laughing and walked over to her. No order was being made they were stood chatting. The reply to this tries to claim he was looking after a customer - I re-emphasise he was socialising, not serving a customer. Spoke to the owner, half baked apology

Breakfast was great. Editing review as asked by owner how they could have made it 5 stars and after thinking about it, it couldn't of got any better. Food was excellent, we weren't rushed off table and service was great.

Delighted that they had a great choice of gluten free meals for my mum who is a coeliac. Food was lovely and service excellent, we will be returning.

You know that you will receive a warm welcome and the staff always have time for a chat. The food is amazing and arrives promptly. I love it.

Burger very nice. Brisket one. Onion rings tasty. Just disappointed with the sweet potato fries burnt to within inch of their life had to throw away and food bit cold.

I went to this cafe to have a breakfast and end up paying for food which was not breakfast. Awful service, waited for a long time to get the food. Then one member of staff was arguing strongly on paying for the food which I didn’t eat. Never have such poor service in any café before. Absolutely this cafe should be avoided.

We ordered 2 breakfast 😋 there were nice but wasn't until I left we went to pay that we noticed we didnt get the free coffee cus we asked for a cappuccino he didn't advise us that we pay for our drinks if we didn't have a normal coffee we paid 28 pound for 2 medium breakfast I had one extra sausage so amazing food crafty waiter and lost repeat business because of course its just mine and my wives view but food was nice just left a bad taste being charged double for the sake of a helpful tip

Just finished an amazing meal from the Christmas 🎄 menu. The flavour, presentation and quality of the food was most excellent.

I ordered to takeaway 2 ham and cheese panini's and 2 cookies and cream shakes, they food and drink tasted amazing, the staff super friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was so peaceful and calm.

I've popped in a couple of times for brunch. Pastries, granola etc are top notch, the coffee poky and service friendly. There's a hipster vibe, but everyone's welcome, from Bristol lads stoking up with breakfast before the footie, to ancient keyboard warriors like myself. I've not tried the cocktails, but the ladies who lunch were evidently enjoying them. Love it.

We are visiting the area from California and have been enjoying breakfast, lunch, and afternoon coffee with a treat here...a cozy place, very friendly staff, and delicious good. Our daughter was visiting here last summer and still has fond memories of her daily visit to Ruby's.

Was too salty for my palette but it was on time and of reasonable quality, would still recommend.

Had a meal here we ordered a fish chowder each would say flavour good but more new potatoes than I would expect our cocktails we ordered were wrong first time around then when the correct ones arrived they tasted different as you can only order two on the special offer but have be the same??? and when we finished our first course and drinks we were asked if we would like our bill and not asked if we would like a dessert or coffee or more drinks??? Little work on service wouldn't go miss here!!!!

Had a Rubies coronation chicken sandwich. It was delicious as always with fresh crusty bread and plenty of filling. Served as always with a bowl of chips and their delicious coleslaw. Very filling and yummy. With a large coke it was £9.85 which is well worth it. Lovely calm atmosphere which is what is needed at the end of a busy day. Staff are always friendly

Always enjoy coffee and lunch from this little gem. Best takeaway hot chocolate for those cold but sunny walks.

Obviously having staffing issues. Burger was lovely and chip crispy but unfortunately spoiled by the processed / refined salt all over them. I suggest celery salt or crushed Himalayan. I easily spot the desporation to salt everything to make them buy more drink. Waitress eventually poured me a flat larger. Took my order with difficulty on the computer ( perhaps first shift, granted) but served my food with no follow up or asked if I wanted condiments to go with my meal. Either she has been trained to be robotic or she just hasn't been trained at all. Clean environment but not sure about the oven back splash, that would be spotless in my kitchen as it is after all...stainless steel. For what I paid, seriously over priced .

Top class roast dinner, one of the best in Bristol for sure. Excellent quality food at a reasonable price. Plenty of free parking outside so worth seeking out for non-locals.

Came here for a roast, it was lovely. Great value and really good portion sizes. I’d recommend it!
