A really great find in Bristol. After a night out we wanted a really great breakfast to get through the day. We found the George Restaurant and were very impressed. The service was great and the food was just as good. We had 2 breakfasts (with extra black pudd) 2 latte, orange juice and a bottle of apple juice, all came to £33. I was really impressed with the fresh orange juice. Definitely what I needed. If I'm back in Bristol I will 100% be back.

I had a regular fried breakfast. The only items on the plate that I enjoyed eating were the fried egg and buttered toast The bacon was tasteless, and the sausage was of poor quality..

when in Bedminster we usually pop in for food, quality, portions and prices are pretty good, clean looking place and good service, we will be returning.

Good food, great portions. But everytime I have been here I have had to wait an hour+ for my food. Which isn't great if you're on the clock

Fancy a lovingly cooked all-day-breakfast or a sandwich? This is the spot! There's no need to reinvent the wheel and this place is not trying to do so: great food at affordable prices. Even walked past and thought why this place is so busy? This means you never been inside. As I said: there's no need to call things different names: simple, fresh, wholeheartedly cooked meals are there to be served to order. Definitely would be back. Especially when I need that real authentic cafe experience.

Huge plates of lovely tasty food. Fairly priced. Excellent hygiene rating. Lovely kind people. I found this gem and have become a regular.

Absolutely love George’s - the staff are friendly and helpful and the food is always tasty and hits the sport. If you want a heart meal, great choice and fast service - George’s is the place to go! As for the Greek salad… there’s nothing like it anywhere 10/10!

Used to be a great place for value and quality now it’s just over priced for what it is ain’t no Boston tea party but matches the price for sure much better places for the price now

Always a sign of value when the place was packed with the retired. The service was friendly and not too long. Sauces in packets but complimentary.As for the breakfast itself it was huge with everything, mushrooms, tomatoes beans and chips!! Included ( not for me) As for ingredients very average quality ( very mushy sausages) On size alone i was going to say 4 stars but the real downside was the oil that had been used for cooking tasted old so just another average cafe .

It is a very tidy and spacious place. We had english breakfast which was wholesome and a caramel latte which is by far the best i have tasted. Would definitely recommend it for family breakfast day like a sun-funday🙂

Nice cafe, very clean and welcoming right in the middle of East Street. I had the large breakfast with a cup of tea, which cost just over £10. Nice quality food and nice strong proper builders tea.

The best cafe. Quality of food never changes, prices are reasonable! Come in here a few times a month, the lady up front is so friendly and welcoming (so are the guys who cook the food). I don’t even have to tell her what my order is she just looks at me and says tuna jacket potato? I’m like yassss girl! Love that for me! Lol. 100% recommend 🙂

I’ve been visiting George’s since I was a young child with my family and we still love to visit now. We all have firm favourites on the menu for that nostalgic feeling but the variety is great and unlike anything you can find elsewhere. I love that George’s hasn’t changed too much but is still kept fresh and clean. You get the warmest welcome and food is served hot and fast. Recommend when you fancy a classic fry up or a homemade meal like sausage and mash, they do it all!

A true legend of the high street Georges is a must for anyone visiting east street. The food is always fresh and tasty with very good portions for the prices. The staff are always very friendly and its a very inviting place to eat or stop for a warming drink.

Wow! First of all fantastic, friendly staff. When we ordered we were not charged for our granddaughter's drink,thank you. The hot drinks for us adults were made exactly as we asked for them. Then came the food. Two of us chose omelettes and they were huge, each made with five eggs and really delicious. As were the accompanying chips and homemade slaw. My wife chose the cod and chips,again a large portion. Our granddaughter had sausage,egg,chips and beans which she loved. All our food was served to us quickly, was piping hot and very tasty. Generous size portions and fantastic value for money. On leaving our granddaughter wanted an ice cream and the lady wouldn't let me pay for it. Overall a fabulous experience, I can't recommend it highly enough and we will definitely be going back. Well done and thank you.

Costas and his crew are great. Always a smile, always a warm welcome, and a word or even a chat with everyone. Although the menus hasn't changed much since George handed over the reins the quality is still excellent. Well done team carry on with the great work

What are you looking for,, I paid 7 quid for 2 deep fryd sausage 2eggs 2 nice bits of bacon, a Whaplode of beans an bare nice ghetto toast,,, they had a bangin coffee too so yeah it had spoons and they were greasey,,, (the spoons were clean but I'm making a broader statement about the quality,,, and if you can't work that out without my spelling it out,,, you could fit right in here!!) 57/22 rasta badges,,, ghetto grade!!

With friendly staff. This is a lovely small cafe. Food is really good, great value with good portion sizes. Do not expect a modern chic bistro. As a cafe it is a pleasure to visit.

Georges is a favourite of many local people. The menu is full of all kinds of things. The staff are attentive and the place is very clean.

Great cafe Best veggie sausages 😋 Clean and tidy ....really wish they were open on Sundays. Good prices . Oh and I love the Fresh 🍊 orange juice 👌🏼

A standard breakfast was £5-20 again I ordered one extra toast then I ordered a coffee because standard breakfast doesn't include a coffee ended up costing me £9-20 had I of known this would of worked out cheaper getting s large breakfast wont be going here again ☹☹😔😒🙁

Me and my partner went into the restaurant today after not being for a while because of covid and the restaurant has been redecorated and it's looks amazing with the new colour scheme and the new planters. As always nice welcoming staff and brilliant food.

Food is good as usual but will never be going back after what we witnessed yesterday, we sat waiting for our food and sat next table to us was a man with 3 phones ringing constantly,we watched 3 people come in and openly by drugs from this man while staff appeared to pretend not to notice, on one occasion two men came in, bought drugs then openly spread the powder on the table and snorted it up, this was in front of my 9 year old daughter and many other customers these two guys brought in there own food and drinks from greggs an staff were to scared to approach them

Ordered all day breakfast and coffee, within 2 mins asked if I could change to the larger breakfast, Bumper breakfast. Refused, I asked why " because we have cooked what you ordered" what in two minutes, with others that placed orders before me. It's not like they cooked something special that was not included in the larger breakfast. Poor service

Looking for a feast on the cheap George's on East street is a great eatery selling british food. Popular with the locals staff are super friendly. Portions are huge so make sure you're hungry or get a plate and share.
