I hired Orchard Coffee for a private event and would highly recommend it. We were a group of 45 and it was a perfect size space. Betsy was really helpful through the whole process of planning the event and there was a lovely team there on the night. The food was delicious (and plenty of it). The space is really adaptable for different party requirements - we had long tables for food then moved them for dancing later.

Me and my boyfriend have come here a few times and every time we had a great experience. The food is so tasty, you would do well to find a better breakfast anywhere else in Bristol, it really is amazing here. Highly recommend

We held a charity fundraising party at the Orchard and could not recommend it highly enough. Great communication beforehand and superbly attentive, helpful and friendly staff on the night. The space itself is really cosy and a great time was had by all. Thanks Orchard!

A private order if a Tiramisu Danish as a birthday cake was absolutely delicious. Absolutely brilliant staff, bread and pastries.

We live just down the road from The Orchard and it is our go to place for breakfast and lunch. It's also a good place to work from if you happen to work from a laptop. The staff are always very friendly and conscientious, the coffee is great, and so is the food! They always have an interesting and varied selection of pastries, and the bigger brunch plates are well cooked and presented, with a bit of a 'fine dining' vibe. We booked a table for 10 for my birthday and the process was very simple, with prompt responses from management, and everything went smoothly during our visit. And the prices are pretty good too! Also, they have a good selection of vegetarian options, and all of the vegetarian options can be made vegan.

Such a lush spot to chill out for a while! I’ve been here several times for coffees but this time got and some food and - stop it now. How does one manage to make a sweet potato salad sandwich taste so bloody good?? I’ve tried to replicate this at home (without luck). Truly my compliments to the chef. The staff are lovely and attentive too, even when sat on the raise balcony they were regularly by to check if I needed anything. Will 100% be returning

Had the best tuna sandwich I've ever had. They make their own bread so none of that, stick to your teeth, nonsense. It was a very generously sized sandwich with a really perfect tasty filling, Honestly cant do it justice. I love it when a cafe does simple things really really well. lovely welcoming atmosphere and the feeling of a real community hub, and it's got loads of art on the walls that appear to be various local artists. A real gem of a cafe in Bristol.

Was in the Orchard cafe yesterday for a working breakfast at 9am. The coffee was great if alittle small. I was easily able to find power sockets and the place was highly recommended. Baked goods looked amazing. Unfortunately it was really cold in the cafe, so had to abandon the meeting and go else where which was a shame. The girl sitting behind me at the table, staff or manager I think, also had her coat on so she knew it was cold.

One of my favourite places to sit in and have breakfast, it gets busy though so get in early if you want a table. Pastries, cakes and coffees are also amazing to takeaway. Dog friendly.

This place is an absolute treasure chest of pastry delights. I couldn't help but start with a cheeky cinnamon roll, but the breakfast of beef brisket on sourdough, was literally the best breakfast I've ever had—kale, juicy brisket and kimchi is a combination of gods. Absolutely next level.

Come in here every few weeks. Quality of ingredients in food and baked items is always of a high quality. It does feel as the place has become more popular, the service has become more chaotic and disorganised tbh. Although the counter with all the baked items looks lovely, it's not massively hygienic or helpful as busy times there's always a queue at the till. Rather than having such a big display, what would be more helpful would be a second till. Was in there today and member of staff serving clearly did not want to be there. Coffee is always great and when served our meal, was great quality. I think this place is a victim of its own success and struggling to keep up the service standards at busier times.

Greeted with the smell of nice coffee, good food and kind faces, this dog friendly little gem of a cafe serves some amazing pastries, great dishes and tasty coffee. It has a welcoming communal atmosphere, and serves top quality food and drinks. The staff are very friendly and the place is warm and comforting. The only problem with this cafe is that it's not right next door to my house. Top notch, love it.

OMG! I've just eaten the most mouthwatering BBQ beef brisket - whoever dreamt up that combination of flavours is a culinary God.

Had a tiramisu danish and a cup of flat white. Both were amazing and so was the service. The danish slipped right off the plate while walking upstairs, the staff replaced it for me happily. Would visit again soon.

The cafe itself is charming and quirky and can be have a calming feel when toddlers aren't running around screaming. If the cafe genuinely is now card-only, though, and there really is no change ever available, I and my friend would really appreciate a sign on the door clearly stating this so we know to go somewhere where they do accept cash and do have change, which would be a shame as we do like the cafe. A bit of honesty so customers know where they are goes a long way. Transparent games-playing and customers having to explain to staff their situation re: why they are unable to pay by card just makes me not want to come in again and not recommend the cafe to friends, whereas I generally have done up till now. Thank you and Happy New Year to you and staff, who are generally obliging. I preferred the old layout rather than the long tables as I feel like I am intruding if even one person is already sat on one. I really like the more private tables at the back but obviously if the cafe is busy they are sometimes occupied. Glad to see there is now a lock on the toilet door! Orchard - Thank you for your reply, I did actually tell the member of staff who served me at the time I felt backed into a corner by the payment situation, I accept that sometimes there may be no change but I was told there is NEVER any change, so the point I was making was to be upfront about this by putting a sign on the door so that customers do not end up out of pocket because they don't themselves have change, which isn't acceptable. Had I felt my concerns had been taken on board then, I would have given a higher score so I feel my review was fair and honest, as opposed to harsh. I gave 2 stars for service because on the day I came in, my latte, which was fine in itself, took a long time to come over and although it was quite busy, not really busy enough to warrant the amount of time it took. Also looked very much as if customers who came in after me, were getting served before me (possibly because my views on the payment system were felt to be harsh!) so I am certainly not going to give the cafe a 5-star review; it would be very dishonest. However after reading your reply, (at least the cafe had the decency to respond), I have altered my general 2 stars to 3, to give a reflection of my experiences overall in the cafe, as opposed to just one or two days.

Hosted my 30th birthday party here in December. Betsy was extremely organised and made sure everything was planned in plenty of time and exactly as I’d pictured things. The bar staff were lovely and so helpful and the space was perfect to have a dj/dancefloor and some tables for guests.The cake was amazing! A really lovely night. Thanks to everyone at Orchard Coffee Co for a great night🙂

Good coffee, lovely staff, beautiful space. I didn't eat but the sandwiches and cakes looked great, and there were good vegan options. However, the acoustics mean it gets really loud and on top of that the music is so loud I can feel the bass vibrating through the floor which is bananas for a café. I wish more places bore accessibility in mind when considering music.

Toasties have so much potential but I just taste margarine still 2hrs later please change to using butter or olive oil would be a challenge for the best in Bristol then.

We recently held our wedding reception at the Orchard. We were quite anxious leading up to the event about the space and how well it might work with the number of guests. However, all our concerns and questions were met with regular, prompt communication including willing adjustments and assurances where we always felt valued and heard. In the end all our worries were unfounded as the set up, catering and the support of staff made for as perfect an evening as we could have wished for. If you're looking to celebrate in an intimate, relaxed and ambient space backed by excellent organisation, care and attention we can wholeheartedly recommend it!

Had absolutely banging breakfast here a few times now and as a local it is definitely now my go to for brunch. Service at the till is sometimes a bit slow but friendly, the food and drink comes quickly enough and overall it's a great little spot

Latte was alright. Cappucino was delicious. Wish they didn’t run out of the gingerbread latte special though. Enoki mushroom brunch was creative and delicious — good mix of japanese and british flavours. Atmosphere is amazing!

We had an absolute blast at the Orchard for my 50th birthday. The team were brilliant - event coordinator Betsy was full of ideas and super flexible about food options ...catered by Orchard or brought in. Although I love the food, in the end we just brought in some snacks and concentrated on dancing and drinking (!) wonderfully looked after by the bar team. We had a band who had all they needed and the team played our own playlist on Orchard's speakers before and after, which worked really well. The team even put up and took down the decorations we brought in, and laid out the food, setting everything up beautifully. Everyone raved about the venue. Huge thanks to all the team for helping us make it a night to remember

Held a 40th birthday party here! Betsy, the event planner was extremely helpful and reassuring and allowed me to plan keeping within my budget. The food was amazing, everyone raved about it, we went for the large pizza tray bake options. Our servers Bean and Fran were so kind, friendly and helpful with setting up! Lots of people commented on the great location, thank you for providing a lovely atomosphere to a momentous occasion!

My partner and I recently celebrated our engagement at the Orchard, and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. The team did an incredible job organising and overseeing the event, making sure everything was just right. The hire price was very reasonable, and Betsy, went above and beyond to ensure everything was in place for us. The Orchard also handled the catering on the night and the pizzas were delicious! They even created custom cocktails for us and our guests, which added a special touch to the night. Other than our engagement party, we come here regularly, the food is always excellent, and the staff are consistently friendly and attentive. Thank you so much for the best night ❤️

Attended an event and was rather disappointed, tickets advertised a free cocktail which we only found out while trying to collect was only one specific cocktail. The drink we did end up getting was wrong and took roughly an hour to arrive. The event advertised food which we got refused only 45mins into the event. What interactions we had with the staff was incredibly slow, the only plus was the live band was really good (the only thing the orchard didn't have control over) won't be returning anytime soon

I just celebrated my 40th birthday with a party at Orchard and I cannot recommend it highly enough. 5 stars doesn’t seem to do it justice. From my very first email, Betsy was so helpful, informative and knowledgeable and really planned the best night I could have wished for. The venue is stunning, really makes a relaxing yet vibrant atmosphere, the staff are so friendly and always there to help and the bar has a wide range of very well priced drinks. The food is on another planet. Some of the best pizza I’ve ever had and the wedges are next level. The portions are great, the options are great. Everything was amazing. Besty helped with everything from music to floor layout, timings and recommendations on food for the amount of guests coming and was even there on the night to help! I couldn’t have asked for anything more, Thank you all so much

I love coming here! There’s always a creative new pastry or item on the menu - I wish I could try them all! Today I had the mushroom benne which had so many amazing pickly flavours 🤌 also it’s such a relaxed and chilled space to be.

Bonito edificio grande y viejo con mucho espacio para sentarse, pero estaba bastante sucio y moho en el techo. Necesita una buena limpieza. No pudimos encontrar un menú aunque había algunos en un par de mesas donde la gente ya estaba sentada. Cuando se les preguntó en el mostrador qué bebidas frías habían tomado, fueron bastante groseros y menospreciantes. El café estaba caliente. No puedo calificar los pasteles porque no había mucho. El aparcamiento es muy difícil. Si te gusta el café tibio en un ambiente sucio, entonces dale una oportunidad a este lugar.

I booked the Orchard for my Husband's 40th birthday, and it was a perfect! Great communication with Betsy from the get go, she was happy to help with any request and made sure everything was to our satisfaction. The food was really tasty, everyone loved it. The staff were super friendly and happy to help, nothing was too much trouble, they did a great job! I highly recommend the Orchard as a venue for any celebration. Thanks again for everything! Incredible!! The food is always amazing whatever you have from the overnight oats to kimchi pastry to cruffins to the glorious BBQ bennies. The yoga and breakfast on Sunday is amazing, Siona the teacher is absolutely fantastic, I look forward to it each month. Staff are always brilliant and Mike the manager is one of the greatest humans ever! So helpful, kind, friendly and professional. I will be back again, and again, and again! ❤️

Amazing food with great atmosphere and friendly staff

Nice food, albeit lukewarm. Drinks also not very hot. The place is cold, maybe difficult to heat a large open former church!? I wish dogs would be banned from these places, barking and yapping constantly that shrills your ears.

I visited for the first time yesterday. It's got a great vibe and the service was fantastic. They roast their own coffee and have their own bakery. Lots of options to cater for everyone. Even kids meals. The ham, cheese and pickle swirl was amazing. One of the best things I've ever had. The coffee was excellent. So good, I had to have a second cup. I highly recommend this place and I'll definitely be back.

Do not go, coffee was terrible, food mediocre without any flavour just a mix of random things put together. Dirty tables with old food crumbs between the slats. Service is rude and non existent. Super loud and not a very nice experience.

I walked half an hour to get there just to find a sign saying that its closed Mo&Tue. Dear Orchard Team, please fix your opening times on Google!

Amazing pastries worth traveling for ! Always something unusual and super delicious ! The only negative is that it’s always so dark especially upstairs and at the back… they don’t seem to turn the light on ? Or maybe they are broken ? But it’s hard to read etc so puts me off hanging out there.

Met a friend here for brunch after finding the place via Google. Was such a pleasant surprise walking into the building, I wasn’t expecting it to look soooo nice from the outside! High ceilings, big windows letting in lots of light, nice decor. I really liked the vibe. The menu choices looked good. I went for the Green Shakshuka (which was okay but I didn’t love it) and my friend had the Kimchi Benny with mackerel which she really liked. I might try that next time! The coffee was good and the pastries at the till when going to order/pay looked very good too. I’d defo go back!

The majority of the food here is really good but I have had some ridiculously salty items from the hot food menu. It's also not really a good place for breakfast unless what you want is pastry and cake otherwise it's amazing.

We recently had our wedding party at The Orchard. We picked this venue because we regularly go for a board game paired with a delicious oat flat white and huge tasty brunch, we love the chilled, relaxed and pretty vibe of the place and the friendly staff (local art on the walls, different seating options, accessible entrance for pushchairs etc) Betsy was so chilled and organised throughout, it took all stress away from organising it. They got our local brewery faves on tap, made a delicious spread, we had a DJ set up downstairs and there was plenty of room for dancing and mingling for 75 people. Had a games area in some of the booths and on the night, Bean and the staff made some excellent cocktails! Went back the following morning to collect the flowers etc and couldn’t resist the delicious spread of pastries. Huge thanks to Betsy and The Orchard crew for an unforgettable night. Even after all the spicy margs.

We were looking for an affordable wedding venue in Bristol and we came across The Orchard Coffee & Co in St George by chance. We live just around the corner and visit the café all the time for their tasty brunch, speciality coffee and delicious cakes. But we had no idea they were available for private event hire until we walked past one evening and noticed they were hosting a party. We booked the entire venue for a wedding on a Saturday in June for a fraction of the price of many Bristol wedding venues. From the moment we started planning our tropical-themed wedding the staff at The Orchard went above and beyond all expectations to help us plan our perfect day. They even helped us instal the décor before the party and transformed the venue into a tropical paradise complete with sparkling fairy lights and colourful streamers. The Orchard has real character, with lovely big windows and a mezzanine plus an onsite bakery. They supplied canapés, a drinks reception, a delicious buffet, and their baker made us two exquisitely delicious wedding cakes. Best of all, they helped us source 50 pineapples that the bar staff carved into cocktails for our guests, and the team even wore Hawaiian shirts to add to the party vibe. The Orchard is the perfect size for a wedding and the main café area was ideal as a dance floor, while the mezzanine worked perfectly as an area to serve the buffet and for guests who wanted to relax. Our wedding photographer also captured some great photos from above. There was plenty of room to fit in the wedding band, so we all danced the night away under the twinkling fairy lights, drunk on love and pineapple cocktails. Thank you to everyone at The Orchard for making our dreams come true. You gave us the perfect wedding day and we will be forever grateful.

No GF options despite advertised. Went there specifically. How hard is it for a bakery to have a GF loaf on standby? Not very inclusive. Very disappointing. Love this place normally.

Excellent selection of pastries and baked goods. It can be more difficult to find a table when it's busy, on a Saturday for brunch. Brunch options are great and very tasty. Staff have been accommodating with dietary requirements. It's nice to have the option to buy bread and pastries to take home as well. You order at the counter, so there can be a wait if there are people in the queue for takeaway.

I've had my eye on this spot for a while. It's a cute and cozy little café. I only had a coffee and a cinnamon swirl which was good. Next to the freshly baked pastries, they also do freshly baked bread. I didn't try their food menu, but I'm looking to come back and try it out. 😊

We have enjoyed many a brunch at The Orchard. The food, coffee, the staff and the atmosphere has always been great. We started to look at possible venues to celebrate our daughter's 21st birthday and The Orchard started to advertise hiring their space. We immediately thought it was the perfect place to hold a celebration. From the first contact all the way leading up to the party, we couldn't fault the communication from Betsy. She was organised and had lots of suggestions. As well as making us aware of things we hadn't thought about. We all had such a great time celebrating our daughter's birthday. The team on the evening were brilliant, so accommodating and friendly. All the guests loved The Orchard and the compliments were flying in about the food. The orchard had made homemade pizzas, salads and wedges. It was delicious and there was plenty! We obviously recommended people returned to try out the brunch menu and the coffee! Betsy had asked if there were any particular drinks we would like at the party and so we suggested passionfruit martini and espresso martini cocktails. They didn't disappoint whatsoever. The cocktails were presented beautifully and tasted even better! The espresso martini was made with fresh coffee *chefs kiss* One of the amazing bakers at The Orchard baked the most incredible birthday cake - it really was a show stopper! It looked stunning - we really didn't want to cut into it the next day but I'm glad we did! It tasted incredible. *one macaroon is missing in the picture - the birthday girl couldn't resist pinching it before the picture was taken! A big thank you to Betsy and the team for making sure the evening ran so smoothly. I'd highly recommend The Orchard for brunch dates, coffee stops and to hire for any event or celebration. It is such a unique place and the team are lovely.

Great when it is open, but regularly not open at stated business hours in the morning.

We were really excited to finally go here for food, saw some really awesome pictures online. However, disappointed unfortunately. Food was expensive for the portion size, and we had to pay service charge while ordering online without an option to remove it. This would have been okay if we had actually received service, but the only service we received was our food being brought out at different times without cutlery which we had to get ourselves. No tap water offered either. I had the kimchi Benny, and the kimchi was poor unfortunately. It didn’t taste of much, was hard to distinguish from the chard… maybe it wasn’t fermented enough? The halloumi was delicious though. Sorry guys… but we won’t be returning soon.

Nice food and lovely atmosphere. We went on a Sunday so it was fairly busy but we were lucky to get a table. Unfortunately there were loads of used plates and cups that were never collected so we had to try and make room for our own. Perhaps they were understaffed.

I recently booked The Orchard for my boyfriend's surprise birthday celebration - it was fantastic. We had a great party, with food and live music and the staff at the Orchard were so helpful leading up to the event. The Events Manager made sure everything went smoothly on the night and accommodated all the technical needs of the band. The food supplied was delicious - everything was relaxed and gorgeous. I've booked the Orchard up straight away for our next party!

Heard great things about this place so finally gave it a go. Compared to photos circulating online, the actual food portion was rather underwhelming. Sad slice of aubergine with yoghurt and the smallest piece of (nice, admittedly) sourdough with not even a bit of butter. Food arrived quickly - we ordered via the app and quickly realised we have to go get our own cutlery too. Service at the till was great - got a few pastries to take home, which were nice enough. Extra charge for oat milk should absolutely be abolished, it’s 2024 guys and before you say it’s more expensive than normal milk - other places somehow do it. Also, upstairs celing was so mouldy, clearly left like this for a while. I definitely wouldn’t rush back to eat in such environment.

Very local to me, have visited a few times with GF and friends. From the start when you order they ask for gratuity at the counter, before any sort of service is even provided. They bring your food over without cutlery which just seems a bit odd considering they have to walk past the point it’s stored. Some staff seem to have chips on their shoulders for no reason. If they can up their game with customer service and make it more accommodating the tips will roll in and it won’t leave such a bad impression. This on top of the price charged for food especially when some sourdough with chorizo and 2 small glasses of juice cost just over £25 before any actual service.

I went there from the ads I got on Instagram 😂 and honestly, there is a good reason why people do social media: ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS CAFÉ. ESPECIALLY THEIR CAKE 🍰 OMGOD.. SOOOOO BUTTERY 🧈 FLAVOURFUL AND FRESH. MIND BLOWN 🤯 I mean the portion was incredible compared to the price. You can literally taste the freshness from all their items ( be it orange juice or coffee ). Service was incredible and loved the vibe as well. I mean, the location was in the middle of almost no where (very close to St George Park). No population as such. Far far from the city centre. But as soon as you open the door, you hear people chattering. So lively and yet so cozy too. Definitely highly recommend ✨
