This gem of a place needs to advertise itself better. Excellent South Indian food and Channa Batura is amongst the best I have tasted outside of india ( no exaggeration! )

My wife and I have been coming here for some time, as the food has always been very nice. However, the service is unacceptably slow, and it is highly unlikely we will be coming again. Having ordered idli and dosa - starters which should realistically not take more than 5 minutes each to prepare - we were left waiting nearly an hour, and one of us was served some 15 minutes before the other. Having raised this as a potential issue, we were told by one of the very hard-working servers that the delay was due to a lack of staff. We were just one of a large number of tables who were waiting a long time without anything arriving. Ultimately, in a restaurant, staffing issues should not be made the problem of the customer. If there aren't sufficient staff to provide a good service, no matter the quality of the food, you probably should not be open.

Not bad for the money only problem PARKING

Food is amazing, but waiting over two and a half hours for delivery kind of takes the shine off it. Not the first time we've had a long wait, so less likely to bother again.

We went there today…. Very worst service ever no one coming for serving us its going to be nearly 2and half hour for only 2 dosas , Bad customer service

Amazing food with very good service. I'm never disappointed. Family-friendly and fresh food. Lots of options to choose from and a lot of vegetarian options are also available. Very authentic taste.

I ordered the food around 7.30pm, the delivery time was around 8.30pm.. no show till 9pm, so I had to phone the restaurant, when I enquired the food was still at the restaurant, I asked if the driver there for collection, the restaurants answer was no, I finally received the food after 9.30pm.. mean time me and family was really hungry I ordered the food for kids too.. so this is not acceptable.. my son fell asleep, I had to wake him up for the food.. if I knew this would happen, I would have chosen a different restaurant.

Don't bother coming here. Terrible customer service. We walked in, both servers ignored us. Sat down, no acknowledgement by the staff, had to get the menus ourselves. Ready to order, still no service and decided we'd been ignored for too long and walked out. Abysmal treatment. They could do with taking a foundation customer service course...

You need more staff..and I got wrong order.

My sister visits here occasionally and they offer great variety of vegan food. Great service and yummy food !

I ordered lamb pepper fry in starter and it was full of chilli flakes and I had to wash the lamb pieces and eat them. The the paneer masala dosa was pathetic with some grated cheese (no paneer). When I pointed these issues to the waiter, there was no apology, no empathy. He virtually took my plate and walked off.

Rather take away then Eat in. Lovely food, we tried mostly dosas and few veg. Starters they were all lovely. Restaurant has only one staff to do everything, as the food so there are some regular customers i noticed. Food takes ages to come but worth waiting and most of the items are not available from the menu. For adults its ok to wait but if you go with kids its not going to work. Also, owner has to work on interiors, chairs are wobbly and cushions inside is almost gone. Also few leather are ripped and other furniture is also worn off. Best thing is to takeaway instead if eat in.

Great food. However, I accept that the food is cooked to order but considering the restaurant is small, our party waited far too long for our food and some customers who arrived later got their orders before our party which was unfair.

Great restaurant introduced to me by a friend, sort of place I would never have found or tried on my own. Really friendly service, with a family-like atmosphere.

Was pretty good! Decently Spicy Madras and the Biryani was lovely! Only downside was that there was alot burnt bits and charred stuff in the rice so when I bit in it was hard and had a burnt taste but once I got rid of them it was nice!

After 2 hours of placing order, I got the food at my table. Pathetic Service.

All the food was food and service was great. The. waiter came over and said they were going to give me and my friend a complementey drink. We was quite surprised about it and ordered some spirit's. When I got home, I realised that they added the drinks to the bill. I will not return there again. Please check your bill if they say they are giving you any thing complimentary

Food takes a long time to get to the table 😕 When you're hungry and the food is delayed, you can't expect to be given a good review.

A good place for experiencing South Indian cuisine in Gravesend. We tried the vegetarian options and the food was good.

Most of the dishes we tried here have been good. Medu Vada is really good with chutney Except mixed fried rice. It tasted bland and didn’t have any flavours of an Indo Chinese rice dish. Their chole bhatura is also tasty and fresh.

Came after 1.5 hours restaurant only 5 mins aways and I don’t know if they made it in hurry or changed chef no whatsoever taste in noodles and the curry but didn’t like at all.

The best Indian restaurant in this area for food quality. Ok, not Instagram friendly. But always can walk in, get a table for 5, and all eat superb food for under £80 served by nice genuine people. Ticks all boxes for us.

It used to such an authentic Dosa place till I think they changed their chef. We used to be very regular but now it’s not that exciting

They clearly forgot my order. I called them after about hour and a half. 2 hours later it turned up. Got so annoyed I lost my appetite. £30 of reheated food in the morning. Ordered at 8pm. Arrived after 10pm

The food was cold and was 45 mins late. I called restaurant twice to get an update on delivery and was told 5 mins only 5 mins

Good food.. didn't have a constant taste that's not good.. but its a good option to try Indian food taste 😋.. Service is depends. First day of visiting restaurant was not good. The guy give Service is not good.. not take our full order.. not speaking like he didn't like we came that restaurant.. second time we met an another guy he was good and give good service.. still there is that old guy standing there...for the service first time bad second time good.. taste first time very good.. second time good..

Good authentic South Indian restaurant at Milton Rd, Gravesend

The food was good and tasty, but I ordered a korma which was supposed to be for a kid and korma definitely was not korma but something spicier than a jalfrezi. Also I ate dosa in other places , but this one was the spicier dosa that I ever had .

Good food but it's the same menu all the time. Menu needs updating and may be couple of more variations.

The food was way too spicy, chicken korma not sweet no coconut flavour and extremely spicy. We are a family that can eat spicy food but when the spice is to a point where you cant even taste the taste its a let down. On the other hand the dosa and the bread was amazing

While the place might look a bit basic, the food was excellent and authentic. Will definitely do again! We had masala dosa, sambhar vada and chilli paneer which where excellent, and the veg noodles and chole bhature were very good as well! The waiter was also very courteous.

Worse DOSA ever!! I won't recommend this joint for the worse quality of food, Rawa DOSA was half cooked.

The best Sri Lankan and South Indian food in Kent..

I love this restaurant and the food is delicious. Takeaway is delightful too. Good flavours and filling. Top tip: warm up the dosa in a dry pan before eating. Unfortunately dosa can lose its croc when not eaten freshly prepared. The heating in a dry pan crisps it up and brings back some bite.

Food was cold, needed to heat up in the microwave otherwise was very tasty

Best place to pick up rare Sri Lankan dish “kottu roti” I’m Asian but this isn’t a food we have in our country hence I love it. If you are into trying foreign cousins and spicey food that will blow you mouth and mind then try this. They always have it ready on time when we order by phone to collect so no complaints so far

We've been eating from this restaurant for the last few years (from when they were in Northfleet) the food quality however has been going worst and worst and I'm sad to say I think this will be the last time I order from here. The staff are always amazing and very welcoming however we are paying for the food and it is just ordinary.

I haven't had a dosa this nice since I visited India. Curries are great too!

Tasty and savoury Dosa and Vada..

The negative reviews on google mostly seem to be about slow delivery, but we have always collected or eaten in - they deserve a higher rating on google! Good prices, friendly and the dosa is made properly. The sambar and the coconut chutney is exactly as it should be - so many other places in the uk don’t make proper coconut chutney I find! On other occasions we have also had the chola/chole battura, the Indian style veg noodles and the veg curries - all are good and the rice is proper basmati made to a high standard. This isn’t a pretentious restaurant but well made and well priced food that you’d expect to find in a local eatery in Sri Lanka or India.

Everything about this place is terrific except the heating which made the place a wee bit cold.

The food was absolutely fantastic. Can't wait to order again and explore the whole menu. The dosas are awesome but my goodness the potato bonda were insanely moreish. Had to call in advance to check for vegan options and they were extremely helpful.

Have ordered from RT Dosa several times now and love their food, always on time, always delicious. Be wary if you don't like too much spice as even the usual mild dishes have a bit of a kick. I highly recommend.

Yesterday we had the best South Indian dishes from this place. We had some amazing chettinad chicken, chicken kothuparotta, chole batura, parotta, lamb biriyani and chicken biriyani. I would highly recommend all these dishes. Our all time favourite is parotta was exceptional with all its layers and blended beautifully with the chettinad chicken curry. I highly recommend this place and would defo order from here again. Thank you!

I've ordered from her a few times now and absolutely recommend, delivery is quick the quality of food is amazing, the curries a little spicier than other places so be warned if you're sensitive to a bit of heat. This is now my go to place for Indian food, it has an authenticity that you rarely see. Highly recommended.
