Nice food sweet and sour is tasty and do a nice beef curry staff are friendly but shop needs updating

A bit of a Long wait But out was Well worth it. Food tasted Fantastic With A Big Choice of British food . Only criticism was the Chips were already part cooked so had a bit of a twang.

Been a regular at this chip shop for years. Since it's been taken over from Roy the food has gone downhill although the actual Chinese dishes are nice. We ordered twice the last week, a dish with no prawns due to allergy. Twice the order came with prawns. This could of hospitalised the person if they ate it. Popped in today for dinner and the Chinese lady said she won't do a special mushroom dish now for us. When I asked why are the meats just chucked in one bowl and mixed she said no. So I said then u can do a dish with no prawns. She said no just in case chef makes mistake. The chef cannot make a mistake if they are reading the order correctly and the meats are separate. I said to her that my daughter has a nut allergy and could end up in hospital or worse if she has the chow mein and the chef accidentally puts nuts in it. She declined to reply. So please if I have any sort of allergies DO NOT use this chip shop.

I live about 10 mins away and it is always a go to for me when I just want something quick and easy lovely food always. Prices are brilliant, I definitely recommended this place for Chinese there lovely and always have costumers. Always really polite to you unfortunately they no longer take cards but other than that there spot on

After reading reviews I thought I'd stay clear but being so close to where I was I had to and I'm glad I did service was great food was amazing just proves to each there own

Unfortunately China Chef in lodge causway was closed today so decided to give Roy's a try. Literally so disappointed. Stingy portions. Chips were way undercooked and looked like they had just been dipped in the fryer. Egg fried rice was soggy I wanted egg fried rice not egg boiled rice. Chicken balls are really doughie and the BBQ sauce was more like BBQ water than sauce. If it's good value for money and good sized portions that you are looking for China Chef on lodge causway is the place to go. Avoid this place at all costs!!!!!!

have been there quite a few times as I have a friend who is a regular. The fish is quite good if a little greasy and the chips are good chippy chips. They also sell a Chinese menu what Ive had once and was quite good. nothing special but was nice and they sell pickled eggs for 40p.

Drove approx 15 miles and back to get here whilst on weekend break due to the 5* rating on trip advisor. Ordered large chips and 2x battered sausages for me and partner to share for our tea as we were too busy sightseeing to eat through the the day. The Chips were cooked in a disgusting oil which lingered disgustingly on the chips. Chips were also seriously undercooked and made me feel sick for the rest of the evening. Sausages were ok though (ignoring the greasiness). I was so disappointed, but lesson learnt not to go there again.

I ordered a pint of London Pride and fish and chips (haddock). Great food and great service. Met Roy the owner who was very friendly. You must stop by when you visit Gibraltar, Spain.

Just off the cycle path Staple Hill Exit, this is an outstanding traditional Chinese chip shop, much used.
