Nice pub quite large inside. Food is nice and a good selection of drinks Pool table, darts and pub games too and an outdoor area if you get a hot pne 👍 Staff are fab and so very helpful

Not a bad pub, too many TV's showing too much sport. Could do with a proper cider on draft. Still much the same, although burger dau on Wed are very tasty and good value.

Longtime since i have been been to the Royal Oak, staff were very helpful and very cheerful, kind 😁 and present. Table's were clean and tidy, so was the floor. Also the 🍺🍻 Beer 🍺🍻 Garden 🏡 has plenty of benches and tables outside with lights for the evening 🌆. They have a toilet's , Ample carpark space at the back of the pub, with a few disabled parking 🅿️ spaces. Meal we had was perfect, so was the pudding 🍮 we had. A very happy friendly pub, that i would certainly go back to for another visit. They also have sky sports where people can watch their beloved sporting activities. First time here and the atmosphere is lovely and chilled! The service is amazing, very friendly and attentive staff. The food was just as good. Would definitely recommend and will 100% come back!

Came here for dinner with my wife and it did not disappoint, we just fancied something causal and relaxed and that's exactly what we got, staff are very polite and the food is lovely and not over priced at all. Would definitely be coming back.

Great place to eat and great service!

Popped into the Royal Oak for some lunch with my family. The girls behind the bar were very friendly and a great help. The food was amazing and at such affordable prices especially as it is summer holidays they had deals on the menu which helped keep costs down! I’m extremely fussy about cleanliness since covid and have to say the moment i stepped into the restaurant it was spotless, the bathrooms smelt fresh and looked immaculate and I was more than happy to have my young children walk freely without the usual sticky carpet musty smell I’ve experienced in previous restaurants. Definitely will return to try more of the menu! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thanks to Ellie and the team today! Our first time here from Basingstoke and will be back. A lovely Roast Beef and all the trimmings. The first time ever I’ve been able to eat every morsel of beef without having to pick bits and gristle out. Beautifully cooked and lovely and hot. A scrummy apple crumble and custard to follow. Nom nom.

Rather rude bar staff, ordered on the app and after 30min I went to go ask and was told not to use the app in a am rather rude manor. Complete unnecessary when I was just asking.

Lovely pub and setting. We were greeted with friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble. The menu choices were good and ordering was easy. The food was lovely. Fresh, hot and tasty. All three of us enjoyed our mains. Upon ordering the puddings, I spoke to the lovely Ellie behind the bar and asked if it was possible to have extra custard and was pleasantly greeted with two custard boats instead of one for my apple crumble! Thank you Ellie - you were great!! Would definitely dine here again. Reasonably priced, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Highly recommend a visit.

Popped in with a friend for a catch up & a drink. When we decided we fancied a Chip Butty. We spoke to the lady behind the bar who in turn spoke to Ben the Chef who came out and explained it wasn't on the menu however he would make us one and explained to his colleague how to put it through the till and even gave us dipping gravy. Nothing was too much trouble all done with a smile. This is what I call great customer service from both staff members. Chip Butty delicious. Would definitely recommend this pub.

Such a lovely warm welcome upon our arrival, we were a party of 7 and didn’t book but we received so much kindness and were met with lovely staff. The food was delicious and there wasn’t a long wait for it at all. The prices are perfect for the quality and quantity of food you get served. Would like to acknowledge our waiter, Ollie, who kindly stayed on after his shift had ended just to make sure we were taken care of. He greeted us with lots of smiles and made sure the service was perfect at all times.

Having used the Royal oak for many years have found them to be good value for money, choice and service I decided to use them for my father's wake. Ellie and her team provided us with a stress free time from the moment of booking to the attentive service on the day. Just had the most disturbing experience, arrived in pub at 13:20 on Saturday 25/05. Though my car is uncharged and I’m hungry so I can put my car on charger and eat and drink while it’s charging till 30%. So EV charging parking clearly says “only for charging EV vehicles “ but there are 2 cars blocking the charger parking on the place. So I’ve tried to park in between this two vehicles but with no success because there are rubbish bins on the way, I’ve moved one to be able to fit in but another one was just massive and too heavy to move. So I had to squeeze between another car which was on charger and unplugged vehicle but it was so tight that me (8 stones weight) couldn’t get out. Anyway, I used passenger seat to squeeze out of car and left car on charger and went to the pub to order some food and drink because I had an hour. When I’ve asked bar man about charging parking and why is there a two cars blocking them while half of the parking empty he replied that it’s a manager car and another employee car and they are parking there. I said that parking is for EV charging vehicles and he went rude and said : well it’s not, people paying money in our pub and they can park anywhere whey want. His attitude was very bad and I think he was a bit drunk because he didn’t ask if I need any help or I want to order anything, he just went on me!!!! So I will never comeback in this pub because stuff is rude and drunk!!!!

We arrived at the Royal oak and was greeted by Ollie who was very welcoming. . Ollie was very helpful and kept checking on us whilst we was eating. I would definitely recommend for a nice day as garden is really nice to sit in and watch the football

Really warm welcome on arrival. We booked a table to have food and watch the FA Cup Final and were promptly seated at a tabled right next to a tv screen - perfect for our 2 football mad boys! Both food and drink service were excellent and Ellie, in particular, went our of her way to ensure we were enjoying. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and excellent food. Loved our visit and would definitely return 😁

Great staff and perfect service. Safe and straightforward implementation of the covid rules. Update: revisiting this review now that we are well past the dark days of covid. The royal oak continues to be a friendly, welcoming place to eat and drink courtesy of their amazingly helpful and attentive staff. We visited again in early April for a lunchtime bite to eat. Ellie on the bar and Ben in the kitchen both provided a top level of service to ensure we had a great experience. Great food and very reasonable prices, we'll be back again. And again. And again.

This was our second visit in the past month, my wife and I took my Mum for dinner after a doctors appointment. My wife had the Lasagne, Mum had the Hunter’s Chicken and I had the Steak and Ale pie slice. All meals were excellent and big portions. However we just had to have dessert, my wife had the chocolate fudge cake, mum and I had the apple pie and custard. Again the desserts were gorgeous. We were well looked after by Steph and will be back very soon when we visit mum again.

Just had a meal with my wife and son at the Royal Oak. Food was really good (cooked by Ben) and a very reasonable cost. Must admit it's not the first time we've been there and it's always been great value and excellent food. Just never knew anybody's name to write a review. This time we were looked after by Sharon who is a lovely girl. Very friendly and helpful. Overall such a good experience. Highly recommended and we'll be back next Wednesday lunchtime for a build your own burger.

Usually hate Tuesdays until venturing out to this pub, the best Karaoke I believe that we've ever been to, the pub was busy, in fact it looked like a Friday or Saturday night and I get why, the pub was warm and welcoming, the food was amazing value for money, great service, but the compare was just the funniest man ever, we will be regular faces in this pub in Yateley, Thank you guys simply amazing

Ellie and Scot were very friendly with nothing too much trouble. The chef is apparently Ben (never saw him) who made the four of us a great meal. Very inexpensive evening out and a good time.

Just had a great Christmas lunch at the pub. Ellie was amazing and provided the most excellent service, she was efficient and attentive which made our Christmas Day lunch a real pleasure.

Me and my family had an amazing experience at the royal oak. They have great menus that offer pub classics, Christmas specials etc as well as the best variety of meals that accommodate to dietary requirements. All of the food and drinks available were also very budget friendly. The quality service provided by the lovely Leanne made our night even more special. We will definitely be returning here again very soon.

My self and some old colleagues met for a regular reunion. We had food and drink and it was all amazing with generous portions of the food and fantastic atmosphere. We have been here on previous occasions watching the 6 Nations Rugby. A recommended establishment worthy of a visit

Went to the Royal Oak last night as they had a Dj, was a fantastic night, Dave the new landlord is a lovely man and has turned the pub around, always happy and chatty, actually made me laugh ! Was a good night had by all ! Will defo try the karaoke on Tuesday and maybe the quiz on Thursday ? Great local pub !!

Good food and beer with friends. Leanne 's service was exemplary and looked after our group, particularly the Dodge who need extra help. Kareoke was a definite tonal alternative and created a great table quiz for us.

What is not to like? Very reasonable prices, especially on the Seniors' Menu, friendly staff and delicious food. Had I lived closer, I would probably come here twice a week at least. If I could improve anything, it would be not to allow both the tv and music over the speakers on at the same time.

2nd visit, fab as normal & love the changes that have been made in the garden. Landlord friendly & always greeted with a smile from both barstaff & landlord himself.

Ellen, Roberta and Kim - just wow. Amazing customer service and incredible temperament to deal with a large, noisy group without complaint. They're an asset to the pub and should be protected at all costs. I'd even say give all 3 of them a raise (or at least a little bonus).

Popped in for a quick bite to eat, took a chance on the 2 for £11 deal, one of the best fish and chips I've had lately, especially with the high prices at the chippy over the road

Popped lunchtime for a salad & soft drink, and to do a spot of writing & correspondence. The manageress couldn't have been more helpful. She found me a cool, quiet area, turned the TV volume to zero, and brought the salad exactly as my complex food allergies required. Thanks to the excellent lunchtime customer service, this was a highly successful and enjoyable visit. Thank you.

We had a very good experience at this pub. The food was a very good value - two plates of fish and chips for £11.50! The staff were very helpful and friendly. We sat outside so can’t tell you much about the inside. The outside benches were a bit dirty, but you’d expect it being next to a busy road. The fish wasn’t the freshest, but we enjoyed it nonetheless and were planning to come back the next day during our stay, but we ended up eating somewhere else closer to the attraction we were visiting.
