Roxy's Bar in South Lanarkshire

Went here for lunch with my husband today ,ordered 2 macaroni dishes with chips they served us both with cold chips non cooked garlic bread which we didn't ask for,we also had a drink each,bill came and they charged us £7.50 extra for garlic bread which we didn't ask for ,bill came to 33 pound which is absolutely disgraceful, plus we were informed from the staff in Iceland the garlic bread they use is bought from there store ,absolute rip off won't be back ,

Thankyou to all the amazing staff at Roxys this afternoon for an amazing afternoon , had arranged for 10 of us to come down for drinks to celsbrate my husbands 60th birthday as always staff go above and beyond was a great afternoon everyone enjoyed it

I regularly visit this Pub/Restaurant with Disabled people and their carers..The staff look after us all So well. Dianne, Abi just to mention some I know by name. They even took the time to give out Christmas Presents..Well done It is really appreciated .JIm Mac.on behalf of Threshold care services.

You can't beat this on price for good home cooked pub food great portion both adult and kids. Decor bit tired but food staff service make up for it.visit soon you won't be disappointed.

Came back from holiday and met up with sister for lunch. Steak pie and chips, portion sizes great and so tasty.speedy service and staff very friendly

i went with my sister in law last Sunday and it was a poor affair. The food was mediocre and we were told once we had finished our meal that we would have to move from our table to the bar to accommodate a private function. top that with having to find a cash machine to pay as they can’t accept card payments. you’re welcome to it, you regulars, but for a one off visit, it was cheap, old fashioned, outdated decor and wouldn’t recommend to anyone unless i didn’t like them. considering the pub is close to the bus and train station, i’d hate to think this is the first impression anyone new to Hamilton based their first impression on.😞

This is a friendly local pub but this pub does great food!I can`t get past the macaroni cheese,it is undoubtedly the best I have ever tasted!We go quite regularly and we both enjoy it very much.The salad is always crisp and fresh and everyone is very obliging to tweak the menu a little .The really good news is,they have started selling 75cl bottles of wine,which are very reasonably priced.It keeps bringing us back and that about sums it up!Good old fashioned service with a smile!

Visited here on a Sunday afternoon for some lunch with the family. The menu had lots on offer, we opted for the set menu of £7.95 for two courses. The portion sizes were great. I had the macaroni with chips which was delicious and served piping hot. The girl who served us was also very polite and friendly. The only off thing was there were some older men at the bar, I'm assuming regulars, who kept staring at us as we were eating.

Had many a meal here and would recommend many of the dishes but especially the lentil soup. Great friendly staff and very reasonable prices both for food and drink. One of the few places that do small portions - great for when my elderly Dad comes along. Would highly recommend,

Fantastic friendly pub food is excellent was there last night two courses under £8 00 three under a tenner usesed this pub in the past with ANnan pipe ban nd great stop.

Went here to meet up with my friend had the 3 course lunch menu this was absolutely lovely . The portion was great service was fantastic overall can't fault this place great value for money

Go here once a week for food lasagna is to die for. Nice wee quiet family friendly pub go with our 4 year old she loves it. Staff are all very nice.

I thought I'd leave this place a review. We've been going here for years now and the food is delicious. Our 7 year old daughter prefers going here for the kids steak pie as going to McDonald's!! Where else can you get a kids meal for £2 and an adults for £4?? I can remember the first time we went and thought the food would be rubbish because of the prices but it really is good old home cooked pub food at its best. If this place was in Glasgow/Edinburgh then the prices would be at least 3 times what they are. The hot chocolate fudge cake is absolutely delicious also. 😆

Went there to meet some friends during our visit to Scotland. Very good value for the amount of food you get.

Went to Roxys every Friday for many years and was never disappointed with the service nor the food we stopped going due to one of the usual party becoming unwell we just recently started to go back and we feel as if we have never been away food is still great quality and the staff are still as helpful and friendly as ever. Will def continue to return most fridays where possible.

Well , I can't think what's not to like about this place. Nothing fancy though! Good clean friendly cheap. They don't do decent coffee but other than that , we all ten of us had a great meal

No tenía a Roxy's por un tiempo, pero todavía estaba bien vale la pena visitar. Solía ir aquí mucho, era un gran servicio y calidad de comida ambiente + increíble precio, y es bonito ver es tan bueno si no mejor. Es difícil encontrar lugares como este con pub familiar con fisura-pub. Torta de carne es probablemente el mejor de la ciudad, y es delicioso, lasaña con los 3 niños fuimos esta vez y son muy complacientes para los niños y sus comidas. Muy pronto volveremos y lo recomiendo altamente.

Buena comida de pub a un precio estupendo. En general un buen ambiente. Populares en la noche con los entusiastas del karaoke en un sábado.

La comida es generalmente encantador pero hoy mi novia pidió la torta de carne pero la pastelería estaba asquerosa y olía como si hubiera estado en/o al lado de un profundo grasa fryer fue absolutamente repugnante realmente decepcionado

Pub grub roxys amor mejor sobre la comida es fantástica y hacer buenas ofertas. Menú de niños. Buenos precios por el alcohol. Muy limpio. Recomiendo encarecidamente una visita pagando Roxys

Absolutely amazing home cooked food. Massive portions for not a lot of money. £2 for kids meals is the selling point for me. Nice to go for a nice meal with the kids without being totally ripped out. Would recommend to anyone

Value for money, tasty food, good menu, friendly staff - what can I say, it has it all!!My steak pie was one of the best I have ever had, hubby had lasagne and he was delighted with the presentation, portion and quality of one his favourite pub meals. Special prices on Monday to Thursday makes it very affordable.We will certainly be going back!!

Me and my family always eat here the food is amazing , we always go between 4-6 as its the £4 menu the steak pie melts in your mouth .. Going tonight for dinner..

A well run old fashioned bar. Bar food reasonably priced with good choice of meals. Staff make you feel welcome and will certainly be back again soon

Been on many occasions and never disappointed myself my daughter and gran daughter came here on Sunday quite busy when we arrived bur seated right away myself and my daughter had the steak pie piping hot and delicious My granddaughter doesn't like chips so asked for garlic bread with her children's meal no problem her meal was brilliant value for money next time in Hamilton it will be roxys for lunch

Went here for lunch with the family, cosy wee place, great food and great service, easy to get to. And right in the town centre

Been a regular customer at roxys for years, and have to say it's one of my old favourites. The steak pie is amazing. The menu is simple and home made type food. The decor was done up a while back and they done a great job looks so much more modern now. It's a small pub so they have to make the best of the space. Like other people have said you don't wait long for your food, which is very good value for money. During the week from 4pm-6pm all main meals are £4 each. So 2 adults can get there dinner and a drink for about a £10. The staff are all friendly and have been there for years which to me is always a good sign of the owner doing a good job. They also do special nights for Valentine's Day etc which is again really good value for money, normally a 3 coarse meal plus a bottle of wine for 2 for £30!! Which you'd be hard fetched to find a more reasonable price else where. Will always return here as your made to feel welcome and appreciated, which I don't think you really get every where these days with big chains etc.

We came here for a drink and after looking at the menu decided to share the sharing platter, it's was promptly brought out, tasted good, we even had a dessert between us! The staff were friendly and atmosphere good, will try this place again.

Nice wee pub, service very good and barmaids helpful. Food nice and very promt rather than waiting ages. That's the third time in it but second for food and would say yes I would go back with my girlfriend

Went with family for bar lunch service was great,very pleasant atmosphere very clean portions very very good,when I went to pay I asked the barman if he had under charged me,no he said think its between 13.30&1500 do a special rate

This place is very friendly and the food is fab U can get small portions I would recommend small unless you are a big eater the staff are very friendly.

Had lunch on Saturday afternoon very nice girls friendly good service made you feel welcome the food was great pub grub and very reasonable priced good choice of drinks will be back next time in hamilton

Visited here with some work colleagues , had a great lunch ,good variety on menu, large portions well cooked and served by friendly staff and value for money will visit again at lunch time.

Always in for a Monday dinner on my break from work. Great place if you wanna unwind and just chill while your dinner is served and very quick between courses too. Love it.

Been here on many occasions now we're here with my son , daughter and grand daughter for a Sunday lunch and were not disappointed we had 3 different starters and all had the amazing steak pie lovely lovely meal ....staff very friendly and helpful service great nice relaxed atmosphere. ...always come back to roxys when I'm in Hamilton

the size of their toasties! Wow! My favourite meal bacon and cheese toasty with curly fries and their homemade coleslaw. there's nothing like it!

Really nice little pub, just started going every now and then for food and I've yet to be disappointed! During the week main meals are about a fiver I think, and the plate is always overflowing! My particular favourite is the mac n cheese with chips! Fantastic! Staff are always polite and friendly, food never takes too long.From the bar the kitchen is in full site and looks to be clean and efficient. If I have any tiny critiques it would be an update of the menu in a design style (at the moment it's very plain and doesn't reflect the warm decor of the pub) and maybe offer a wider selection if sides. I would also recommend offering people who sit down a drink and training some staff to gain a little more skills in waiting.Apart from those small, small, small critiques the place is perfect for pub grub! I will 100% continue to return and recommend the pub to others! Looking forward to my next visit already!

Good wee pub friendly staff good for night out food good and central located lovely inside and the punters are really friendly

First time here. You get an overwhelming amount of food here for very little money. It's not so much a pub than a clean, simple cafe/bar. I'll be here again.

1st visit for me & my Mum on a friend's recommendation. Lovely friendly staff who didn't just take our order but spent a bit of time for a chat. It was fairly busy but service was fast.Portions are VERY generous and well presented. Our only gripe would be that it would be much better on a bigger plate as we struggled a wee bit when cutting our food, frightened it would slip off the plate because there was so much on it. We both had the chicken goujons and the waitress let us know they did a smaller portion. Thank goodness we went for this as it was more than satisfying. Both of us had the lemon meringue pie for dessert. It looked homemade and was served with 2 scoops of lovely creamy vanilla ice cream. Delicious. With 2 soft dinks our bill was only £16.50. My Mum was quite impressed and we will both return soon.

Only been here once as my friends always talk about it. It is small inside with really nice decore. The meal was excellent and was worth every penny. the portion sizes where perfect. woulod defo go again

This place is amazing. The food is absolutely fantastic, and the portion sizes are huge. I have been here on a number of occasions, and its always been busy. The staff are extremely friendly and make you feel really welcome. Nothing is a problem to them. The prices are not expensive either. They have a set menu and £7.25 for 2 courses or £8.75 for three courses. For the size of portion you get for your meal, I would expect to pay more!! Really worth a visit to get a bite to eat with some heat homemade food. Ideal to relax and chill out with a friend over a bit to eat and a few drinks!

You always get good food & great value for money in Roxy's. The staff are friendly, the food is good quality & the portions are very generous. Very popular lunch venue. You won't leave hungry!!

Nice family run pub in good location next to train and bus station. Lovely food massive portions and friendly service no nonsense pub grub. Child friendly can get busy on a Saturday afternoon
