Absolutely disgusting behaviour from the English lady in there, we've been coming here for years an the staff are amazing but I'm not sure if it's the owner or new staff but the language coming from her mouth was disgusting, she also told a young guy who seemed to be asking for a meal deal that he was taking the piss when he asked for salad as he already had two items in his roll already, I could not believe she speaks to customers like that, she then started being extremely nasty to the girls serving in the shop telling them to charge more for the salad, then she turned to the gentleman and said 6 pound an started having another go at him, everyone in the shop was amazed at her verbally aggressive behaviour! if it wasn't for these underpaid foreign lovely women in there the place would be empty, definitely won't be going back in there again. AVOID

Nice products but shame that the woman selling products outside the shop short changes. This is why I haven’t given a full score

Great pastries and the best freshly baked bread; the little knitted buns are delicious with salmon and cream cheese. The cheese sticks are my favourite!

This has to be 10/10 for value. 2 croissants for £1 and they're superb. Fresh baked bread, about £2 for a large loaf. Homemade pies and pastries. Friendly staff, good service, open 6 days a week. The person who wrote a bad review must have been having an off day, I've been coming here since the German bakers closed down and I wish I'd been a regular years ago. It's a great little local bakery and I wont be buying supermarket bread again.

The older woman serving was downright rude because I only had a £10 note. Tutting, shaking her head and obviously cursing under her breath. Thats the thanks you get from supporting a local business when I could have walked over the road to Sainsbury and bought the same items cheaper and without the attitude. Sadly I hope they go bust as they don’t deserve the support of the community. Avoid at all costs.

My favourite pub in the area - its awesome. Good range of traditional ales that change week in week out & a very cute cat. Be careful of the spicy pork scratchings tho

Poor customer service. Miserable staff. Left waiting no acknowledgement that I was even there. Left without getting anything. Just go elsewhere

Great pub with friendly staff and a nice vibe. Food was good enough and there is a decent selection of beers and other drinks. We'll be back.

The Shy Horse has an interesting menu... orchestrated by someone who clearly cares. Some good old fashioned choices on there too... pie, fish and chips, lasagne, etc. My fellow diner's pie looked brilliant and apparently that's exactly what it was. Another of my esteemed colleagues (he's not esteemed at all) had the paté starter which didn't look great but tasted fine... you know when your paté has been in the fridge for a while or the air gets to it and it turns grey? (SEE PHOTO) They wouldn't serve it at The Ritz... but I guess this isn't The Ritz. I ordered the lamb shank and a whisky because I'm a man and that's a manly order and I have to assert my uber masculine dominance in anyway I can on these business dinners. Anywho... the shank was £24.75 plus a nice whisky = £30 all in which isn't bad for London really. It was cooked beautifully and when it's done right I'll pay whatever. It wasn't the biggest shank I'd ever had but it just about did the job. The whisky came in a brandy glass... not sure why but it was clean, that's the main thing I guess. The staff were quietly efficient and attentive throughout. There is car parking too. I would certainly recommend it to others and if I find myself in the area again, I'll be back.

Great pub, even nicer since the refurb, a little pricey but the staff are the nicest.
