Hidden gem of a small local pub. Looks like someone's house converted into a pub. Atmosphere is very classic English pub vibe. The price of the drink I bought was the cheapest in the area which is a bonus. No parking as the pub is in a residential road.

Great old school boozer. Shows all the sports too. Has a decent range of ales and a subtle amount of keg beer. A nice outdoor area front and back too. Prices not too expensive either for the area. It’s not life changing but certainly better than other places in the area and it’s friendly and welcoming too. Nice to see a back street boozer thriving and long may it continue.

After a visit to Richmond Park we came across this small pub close to Kingston Gate in New Road. It was established in 1868 .We are not sure much has been done with it since. Some of the seating reminded us of an old railway station waiting room. Very Uncomfortable. As Strangers we hardly were given a warm welcome. Good range of beers, but well above average prices for the area. Very little in the way of food. Once visited easily forgotten

This is one of the last drinking pubs left in Kingston. It is on a quiet backstreet near Richmond Park. There is seating in the gazebo in front of the pub, and around the bar inside. It has an excellent selection of real ales, and is very comfy.

The pub is in a quiet location but there are two problems here: the pumps are not well maintained and the place could do with a thorough cleaning. Could do far better. Edited: 2023-05-16: Replying to the owner's query regarding this review. Yes, it the correct place. Initially I was in the bar, but they moved to the terrace a t the front to get fresh air. Also, it is not first time that I have had this impression of the Park Tavern.

I have an annoying weekly work meeting, which is slightly out-of-hours and have been popping into this pub and its been... perfect. Pint of reasonably priced Guinness, real fireplace with cat asleep next to it, staff that remember your order after a couple of visits, ticking clocks and the low hum of the locals providing a proper WFH ambiance. Will be swapping the fireplace for the outside seating when it's warmer.

Bar staff need a serious look at, never cracked a smile and didn’t seem pleased to have customers. Drinks reasonably priced but the service was poor at best. Seemed to hate their job, it was dark and dingy and they snapped at us. We left after about 30 mins as felt so unwelcome and awkward. Feel like unless you’re a local on first name basis with them you get this treatment. Seemed to scowl and talk about us behind the bar and even yelled at us for not wearing a mask (which I understand it was a complete moment of standing up and forgetting we didn’t have it on) but as someone who’s in hospitality there’s better ways than yelling it across the room in an attempt to embarrass, but yet a few ‘locals’ were walking round without one and no one bat an eyelid.
