Located a short distance from Richmond Park kingston Gate. This pub is extremely tired with uncomfortable seating. Prices of beer are much higher than normal. Staff only seemed interested In the regulars not first time customers like us. From our experience give the Park Tavern a wide berth

Brilliant local independent family run, proper old skool pub for drinkers. I'm lucky to live right opposite. Great atomosphere, always friendly. Nice seating area at the front. Very reasonable prices. Try it out! There is no food here, but some snacks and small bites sometimes. Now has a nice garden area at the back.

Hidden gem of a small local pub. Looks like someone's house converted into a pub. Atmosphere is very classic English pub vibe. The price of the drink I bought was the cheapest in the area which is a bonus. No parking as the pub is in a residential road.

Great old school boozer. Shows all the sports too. Has a decent range of ales and a subtle amount of keg beer. A nice outdoor area front and back too. Prices not too expensive either for the area. It’s not life changing but certainly better than other places in the area and it’s friendly and welcoming too. Nice to see a back street boozer thriving and long may it continue.

After a visit to Richmond Park we came across this small pub close to Kingston Gate in New Road. It was established in 1868 .We are not sure much has been done with it since. Some of the seating reminded us of an old railway station waiting room. Very Uncomfortable. As Strangers we hardly were given a warm welcome. Good range of beers, but well above average prices for the area. Very little in the way of food. Once visited easily forgotten

This is one of the last drinking pubs left in Kingston. It is on a quiet backstreet near Richmond Park. There is seating in the gazebo in front of the pub, and around the bar inside. It has an excellent selection of real ales, and is very comfy.

The pub is in a quiet location but there are two problems here: the pumps are not well maintained and the place could do with a thorough cleaning. Could do far better. Edited: 2023-05-16: Replying to the owner's query regarding this review. Yes, it the correct place. Initially I was in the bar, but they moved to the terrace a t the front to get fresh air. Also, it is not first time that I have had this impression of the Park Tavern.

Having not been to this pub for quite a while, I was very pleased to find it had not been ruined by "authorised refurbishment vandals" as so many pubs have. I enjoyed a couple of beers in a comfortable, friendly atmosphere and will visit again more often. Back again (Feb 2023). Ages after the previous visit. It is still a gem!

I have an annoying weekly work meeting, which is slightly out-of-hours and have been popping into this pub and its been... perfect. Pint of reasonably priced Guinness, real fireplace with cat asleep next to it, staff that remember your order after a couple of visits, ticking clocks and the low hum of the locals providing a proper WFH ambiance. Will be swapping the fireplace for the outside seating when it's warmer.

Bar staff need a serious look at, never cracked a smile and didn’t seem pleased to have customers. Drinks reasonably priced but the service was poor at best. Seemed to hate their job, it was dark and dingy and they snapped at us. We left after about 30 mins as felt so unwelcome and awkward. Feel like unless you’re a local on first name basis with them you get this treatment. Seemed to scowl and talk about us behind the bar and even yelled at us for not wearing a mask (which I understand it was a complete moment of standing up and forgetting we didn’t have it on) but as someone who’s in hospitality there’s better ways than yelling it across the room in an attempt to embarrass, but yet a few ‘locals’ were walking round without one and no one bat an eyelid.

My favourite local in North Kingston, great selection of beers (to which their ceiling display of pump shields is testament), can get a roll e.g. corned beef, packet of crisps or scratchings to eat while you watch the football/rugby/golf/anything that’s on that you fancy - just ask and they’ll put it on. We got our 8 pizzas gradually over about an hour. My friend had to wait more than 30 mins for hers and everyone else had already finished when it finally came. No apology either. The pizza itself was dry and only had 2 slices of mushroom on (I wouldn’t have listed it as a topping for just 2 slices of mushroom!) - wouldn’t go again
