Spotlessly clean cafe, plenty of seating. Wide choice of light bites including panini and toasted sandwiches. Plus excellent choice of ice cream, sorbets and frozen yogurt. Great place to walk, dog friendly if kept on a lead. Only slight criticism is the 600m sign to the lime kilns. Definitely further than that. Great afternoon out, however, and would return.

An amazing, quiet retreat that is perfect for families. We stayed Friday to Monday after adding on additional night as we enjoyed it so much. The field is safe and secure with picturesque views over the valley, including the Skirrid. Facilities, including toilets and showers were immaculate. Will definitely be visiting again as soon as we can.

My first visit to Rowelstone Farm today with my family for a birthday celebration. Thoroughly enjoyed every aspect from the great coffee and paninis to the lovely walks. My grandaughter had so much fun, look forward to returning soon.

We visited the park and café to meet up with friends, as we'd been told about the legendary Rowlestone ice-cream. Our group had children ranging from 3 years to 11. The kids enjoyed the park areas and there was fun to be had for every age. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We all loved the ice creams, and big variety of flavours to choose from. As an added bonus they had gluten free cones available, which always cheers up my ceolic children, who often feel excluded when their friends are enjoy their cones, whilst mine normally have to settle for tubs. I had an Earl Grey which was lovely, they also catered for dairy allergies and I was offered a choice of oat milk, soya or almond, which I was surprised at, as so many other places don't put themselves out to offer alternatives. I advise going, even if you don't have children as the café is great, as is the view and setting.

Stopped by for ice creams which where particularly good - only exception being the mango sorbet that didn't live up to expectations. The Nutella ice cream, honeycomb ice cream and gin & tonic sorbet were particular favourites though.

Back open in COVID secure way - but only until the end of September. Wonderful ice cream with plenty of seating available. Hand sanitiser and so on with table cleaning in between use. Pity that hand blower drivers still being used in the toilets (not recommended as they cause aerosol movement of liquid from hands and so on).Nice to see them open again, though - a massive choice of ice cream, sorbets, frozen yoghurts and a few cakes.

We had lunch here yesterday. Utterly, utterly lovely. Cheerful, friendly staff (rising well to the pandemic challenge), tasty fresh food. To call this place child friendly is the understatement of the 21st century. There is no better ice cream anywhere in the world. Believe me: I have eaten vast quantities of ice cream, all over the world. Full Disclosure - I live in Suffolk, but visit Rowlestone Court at least once a year, whenever I'm in Herefordshire - I love it.

We drove here to try their Ice Cream and was not disappointed. The Ice Cream was so tasty and fresh and so was the luxury hot chocolate and latte.Although we only visited the cafe for Ice Cream the whole site, the camp site and park and walks looked lovely.Ty Gwyn Cider is just down the road, which is also excellent.

The cafe does small, snacks and drinks, but go for the ice cream, made on site.Generally about 20 different flavours of ice cream and sorbet on offer, ranging from the normal types through to liquorice and even Belgian Leffe Beer (both highly recommended).Available in cones or in bowls of one, two or three scoops, pricing for the quality is excellent. Friendly staff and a nice environment looking over a working farm. Also has a campsite for those interested!

We visited 3 times during our week away in the area. We had seen signs on the England/Wales border and made our way up from the A465. It's a lovely drive up passing the cider barn. Plenty of parking and outside seating. The campsite looks amazing too!The ice cream is simply the best I've ever tasted. I chatted for a while to one of the owner's daughters who told me all about the farm. Their ice cream is made from their own cows milk and cream. So many flavours! The toilet facilities are spotless. We had a walk one day into their forest - they charge £2 per adult. The walk takes you to a children's play park....excellent facilities. A further walk takes you into the forest to a zip wire and many other forest activities. Well worth a visit....we did buy a tub of ice cream to.eat one evening too. Credit cards are accepted....which is handy when theres so many ice cream flavours to try.

If, like us, you love camping but can't stand the crammed in commercial sites then definitely check out this place. It is a farm site with good quality facilities. What makes it a gem is three things. 1. The owners are lovely, friendly and extremely helpful. 2. The children's playground is excellent and kept my two boys (6 & 8) entertained for hours. 3. The adventure playground in the woods above the farm is brilliant. Oh and the ice cream is absolutely delicious! We will definitely be coming back for another visit.

I don't often leave reviews of places, but I felt I had to for Rowlestone Court. The owners are kind, helpful and friendly. The facilities are top notch with impeccably clean showers and toilets and boundless hot water. The ice cream is probably amongst the best I've ever had (and I've had plenty of ice cream as my waistband will testify!). And to have laid on a meteor shower for us as well...

No puedo esperar a volver!

Me encantaría volver.

We has a snack at Rowlestone Court Café - Panini & Cornish pasty with cups of tea. Nice food & good service. Prices were very reasonable. We had a walk around the woodland paths & saw the dairy herd. There are also sheep & pigs at the farm.We returned to the café for an ice cream - well why not?!There was so much choice it was difficult to know which flavour to select. Eventually I settled on mango sorbet & my partner on apple cider sorbet. Both were very tasty. We bought a 500ml tub to share with the family at home.My parents always look out for Rowlestone ice cream when they are at shows such as Usk Show. Due to this - we will be bringing mum & dad to visit before the end of the season.

Love this place - we have camped here on a number of occasions and visited just for a walk and an icecream. Today, had a lovely walk and a go on the zip wire and climbing wall - had hot chocolate and apple cake and my daughter had waffles and a latte - yummy - the smaller children had ice creams - great value for money and nothing is too much trouble. Notices that you can watch ice cream production on a wed or thurs afternoon so will be back next season for that. Also got some sausages and mince from farm to take home.Visit for holiday or just an hour or so - AMAZING

Wow! These is a dairy farm which so so much more. We ended up going twice on a six day holiday... need i say more? well in that case...There's the award winning ice-cream. There's the immaculate cafe with great coffee. There's meat for sale (their own, i presume: we didn't try this, we'd already done our shopping, boo). There's lovely looking campsite. There's a nice playground with swings and climbing frame and willow dens. There's a wildlife area with pond for pond-dipping.There's an adventure play area in the woods. There's a really beautiful 3 mile (ish) walk through pretty old woodland.I think this place is really special. The whole area is lovely and the nearby castle at Longtown is also worth a visit. Oh, and did I mention the ice-cream...? Yum.
