Delicious, plentiful food, all freshly prepared. Yummy, quality ice cream!

Friendly staff but the coffee was really not great. The milk was so scaldingly hot, the coffee was not drinkable for over 20 mins. We only stopped for a takeaway latte (and picked this place because of the high Google maps score) so can’t comment on the food, but sadly won’t be back.

Absolutely loved this place, a hidden gem! Brie and cranberry baguette was great value and contained so much filling!! Hubby enjoyed his BLT very much too. The ladies serving were so welcoming and friendly. Couldn't have asked for a nicer lunch

I called in the other day for a breakfast as my usual haunt was ridiculously busy so thought i’d try The Priory. I sooooo should have visited sooner. The staff were brilliant and extremely friendly. The premises was immaculately presented. And the breakfast……WOW!!! Piping hot and quality produce (especially the sausages). I shall definitely be visiting again. A lovely experience!!

One of those traditional cafes where the owner and staff make you feel so welcome you could actually be family. Every one of them are so friendly. Best English breakfast I've ever eaten. Lovely and clean and in a great location. I could easily sit here all day watching the world go by while drinking my coffee. Cannot fault this place at all.

Why would you go anywhere else. Shirley's breakfasts are outstanding, everything cooked to order and her homemade hash browns are award winning. Shirley and Caroline have always got time to have a quick chat to. Lovely place xx

Had a full English breakfast here this morning. It was lovely and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast cooked to order. Range of sandwiches, cakes, breakfasts on the menu.

Popped in for a Friday breakfast with the boys at work. Lovely traditional cafe, with friendly staff. The food was really nice, all cooked on a grill and nothing fried which I really liked. The eggs were perfect and the veggie breakfast was very nice. Worth the price for quality food cooked to order

Excellent beautifully hot food on hot plates. The breakfast was outstanding, excellent bacon, everything freshly cooked and as you want it. Staff are helpful and very friendly and go over and above to accommodate your specific requirements.

Good food, freshly cooked to order by friendly, happy ladies. We meet here every week for breakfast and wouldn't dream of going elsewhere.

Absolutely the best breakfast around. I do a lot of travelling from Wales up to England and back and will always make time to stop for a good breakfast at the Priory. My 13 y/o very food fussy daughter has commented that the customer service is "on point"! Very welcoming and warm staff always happy to please and make your experience a great one :) I will continue coming here for many years to come! P.S the ice cream is really good too :D

Great food but not good if you want to have a conversation with your companion. The owner had a long, VERY loud conversation with customers known to her - so loud that my 87 year old mother and I could not carry on a conversation. Mum was unhappy that our time together was being spoiled but had no intention of complaining. The owner asked her if something was wrong and Mum respectfully stated that the food was very good but there was too much noise. The owner then released a torrent of jeering unpleasantness. Apart from a sad ignorance of customer service, the lack of kindness toward my Mum was breathtaking. Have to add that the waitresses are just lovely.

Visited here before heading home on a Monday morning following a weekend break. Lovely, very traditional, cafe. As authentic as it gets, with the owner cooking all breakfasts to order and serving generously-sized portions on hot plates. Great food, friendly service. Had planned to go to Thorns Coffee Lounge (again) but it was shut, despite them confirming on Google Maps just a few weeks earlier that they were open. Although their offerings may be slightly more sophisticated, we’re very happy that we found The Priory. The large English Breakfast was great value and cooked to perfection. Highly recommended.

Walked in on this beautiful hot day. Had these two wonderful custom made Knickerbocker Glorys. Wow, they were excellent. Really superb value. Go get your fill.

We decided to go into Ross on Wye a week ago for breakfast and another explore. So glad we did the trail on Sunday as just walking around the town doesn't give you a feel for the place. We had a lovely cooked breakfast in the Priory Coffee House, would definitely recommend it. It seems to be rare that you get really hot food these days, the chef did warn us that the plates were hot as well. I was forever saying that was really good forever after that.

Our first visit here while staying over in Ross. A great welcoming cafe for a home cooked breakfast. Friendly service and good reasonable prices. Hot coffee and plates of well prepared food.

First time having lunch at this cafe. The two ladies were so lovely and accommodating, very down to earth and we all had a lovely chat and laugh. The food was really lovely and a huge pot of tea for three! Would recommend this little gem to anyone visiting Ross-on-Wye. Thank you again for the lovely food.

One of the best breakfasts in ROSS-ON-WYE the staff where very helpful and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend thus pmace for visitors to the area. Brilliant. I will be going back.

Three of us meet for breakfast on a weekly basis but a fortnight ago our usual establishment was not serving food. We ended up at the Priory and how lucky we were! We were so impressed we visited again today and it will now be our regular meeting place. Breakfasts are lovely and the staff are fabulous, so friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them.

I visited the coffee house today and asked for my scones to heated. The lovely ladies agreed to warm them in the oven even though the scones were freshly baked. Lovely place, lovely staff, would recommend it to anyone !!!!!!!

I visited this coffee shop today and asked for coffee and a scone. I asked for the scone to be heated and the lady refused stating that she refused to heat a freshly baked scone. Very arrogant attitude in my opinion. At the end, I was asked if everything was okay and I said that I would have preferred my scone to have been heated. I was told that it would have tasted worse if heated because it had been freshly baked. This is utter nonsense. I have eaten heated freshly made scones before and I firmly believe that I can make this decision for myself. Also, the coffee was way too strong for my liking. I’ll not be revisiting this establishment and would not recommend.

We went for breakfast and were not disappointed. Both the full English and the avocado poached eggs on toast were fantastic. We also bought some fresh sandwiches to go which were delicious!

On a cold autumn morning, there's no better start than a hearty breakfast and this is exactly what you'll find here! Freshly cooked and served on hot plates by lovely staff, this scrumptious fare was just what we needed. Highly recommended if you're in the area.

Delicious breakfast exactly as we requested and a couple of Americano coffees set us up for the day. Unbelievably friendly staff with a real personal touch. They even helped one of their older customers to tie her shoe laces! I know where we will be eating when we pass through Ross again.

Stopped for a coffee break. Lots of tables available. Tea was served quickly, a large pot of tea for two. Toilets need some refurbishment but from a conversation I overheard, this is planned.

Great jacket potatoes. Excellent coffee and tea. Salad with the meals was very fresh. Friendly service. Loos are up steps so not so good for less mobile customers

Just had breakfast at this lovely cafe in Ross. The beans were to die for and the sausage and bacon were excellent. Egg was cooked exactly as ordered and the service was friendly and efficient. Overall a definite A+ and highly recommended.
