A very odd little pub ... really orientaed for locals rather than tourists. It's certainly down to earth with down to earthy prices and OK if you just want to stop by for a quick drink. on our visit, the clientele all seemed a bit weird ... but we could eavesdrop on some odd conversations

food was vile. undercooked vegetables and tough meat.

Not much chicken in roast and not much food for price

food was okay not overly hot. ordered at 1.15 originally said order would be delivered at 1.45. order was sat on we've got your order until 2.30 when it finally changed to preparing your order and delivered and 2.50. I have used herdsman for breakfast before with no major issues but sadly won't be having Sunday roast again.

Town centre pub on a Friday lunchtime... Walked in and straight out.. Sad, unloved interior, no cask ale, sticky menus.

Open in the bag and made a mess everywhere due to being delivered on a push bike

The meal was cold on arrival and gravy container had leaked into carrier bag, disappointed because all meals previously ordered were exceptional. Will still order in future.

Had a breakfast here and it was good value with a cup of tea. Enjoyed it 👍

This is our 4th meal here & cannot fault the food. Good portions & value for money. I would recommend this pub for it's food, service & friendlyness. Clean & pleasant surroundings

Fantastic food, arrived still hot only gripe the Yorkshire Pudding was abit too over cooked for my liking but still edible with a good taste.

Food was slightly cold. Gravy is lovely

We visited the Herdsman on a Saturday night out with friends and on the Sunday for a roast. A real pub with a great atmosphere good beer and a stunning Sunday roast. Can’t wait to get back.

food can all the 3 tubs of gravy were spilled in the bag and all over the other tubs of food, so no gravy for the dinners. the Sunday dinners were clearly put on the side instead of being carried flat and all food was mixed up and one side of the tray. came disgusting and if i didn't have a child crying for her food i would of set it all back. the food it self once sorted and everything was cleaned down was good, but service was highly disappointing

Meat ,veg ,roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings lovely ,but was let down by a very runny lacking flavour gravy . Cauliflower cheese was runny and I could not taste cheese . This could be a very good roast with tweaks .

First visit for lunch with my sister we both had panini's BLT and cheese and pickle and basket of chips very friendly staff food was served quickly was tasty and very good value will definitely be back

Came to Hereford for football, found this great little place close to the ground. Friendly locals, friendly hosts, decent pint and good hearty lunch. Definitely recommend.

Food cooked beautifully. No fancy food here just well cooked, freshly cooked good pub food. The steaks are especially great value for money and cooked exactly as you ask. Drinks at good price. Friendly local people. Bit like Cheers -where everybody knows your name!

We ordered roast dinners. Plenty of meat, cabbage, broccoli, carrots, peas, stuffing, Yorkshire pudding, boiled potatoes and roast potatoes. We paid extra for cauliflower cheese, could’ve been better, sauce needs to be thicker and some seasoning on the roasters wouldn’t go amiss

Items missing from every meal ,some had. 3 items missing.i rang them and was told to contact you.

First time ordering from here - all roast dinners were lovely and delivered hot. Ordered large as was not sure what to expect - will need to order two small ones for our teenage girls in the future - they really were large! Great value for money.

Missing roast potatoes on the beef dinner. Also missing the can of Vinto.

Had a number of full English breakfasts from the Herdsman, through Deliveroo. Food always arrives piping hot, everything cooked perfectly, and more than I can manage on some occasions. Really good food.

Quick delivery. Like home cooked roast. No stuffing though - gutted as that’s my favourite part of a roast dinner!

I have given the delivery time 5 stars because once a delivery driver was assigned it was swift but I had to wait 45 minutes for a driver to be assigned, not good enough Just Eat!! The food was excellent as usual.

The food is usually fab from herdsman having ate in there before there cooked champion breakfast with the steak and chips being fantastic….the meat (beef) was tough stringy and grissle through it not the best I couldn’t cut it that well much of the beef ended in the bin the Yorkshire pud were very over done shame as I’d really looked forward to it

Had The Herdsman Mega Mixed Grill, it was a excellent meal which is usual for The Herdsman.

Ordered lamb ,i got beef ,pork and turkey 🤔🤔. No cauliflower cheese for my young daughter,not happy.

It a great place and family friendly.

Afraid I can only rate it on Breakfast (which is served all day). Had the Big Breakfast and was delicious, all items well cooked (especially fried eggs) and no greasy plate left at end. Would definitely recommend.

Really enjoyed the lamb roast, it was very hearty.

After being humiliated and made to feel like a stray dog by the arrogance of the new owner of Snooker Club (Qclub), this place let us use their function room without any questions asked. We started decorating the party hall and I took the picture of the Landlady's grandson off the wall, and she never had the slightest grumble, instead, she was very accommodating. I sincerely apologise for not asking her permission. She even said goodnight before retiring to her place upstairs, what a kind and pleasant woman. Same goes with the Landlord, what a gentle man. Thank you both for saving our Filipino Christmas Party.

Nice place, were in the middle of redecoration when we went, but still very hospitable.

Ordered a veg pie which should be vegetarian but it was put with beef gravy, roasters and Yorkshire also cooked in beef fat! Arrived freezing cold! Absolutely awful, worst meal I've ever had from there! Vegetarians, avoid!!
