Rowe's at Penryn have worked out how to serve a beautiful pasty in a way that gives loads of confidence about Covid safety. Absolutely benchmark and what other shops should aspire to. Oh, and their pasties are the best you can buy.

I often go out walking and fancy a bite locally on route so I go to the bakers as its the most convenient. However I am sad to feel the need to write this review, every time I get the woman in there shenever smiles or replies anything welcoming after I say hello. I also feel it is all a bit stindgey, the napkins are not given or left out to help yourself, you have to ask, and the same with the sauces, there was a feeling of absolute penny pinching without regards to the customers needs or feelings.

On my last visit to my home town, Falmouth, I made sure that we passed by Rowe's Factory Shop on our way back to England. This has been a family tradition for more years than i care to remember; and it rarely disappoints, although you may have to wait a minute or two until the next batch of your chosen Pasty comes out of the oven. That wait is so worthwhile, because, in my humble opinion, you are waiting for the best Pasties that Cornwall has to offer. For those who do not like the traditional Meat & Potato pasty, there are quite a few alternative recipes to choose from. In addition, one must not forget, Rowe's also produce other Cornish delicacies like Heavy Cake and Saffron Buns. You can of course also buy English food like Cheese and Bacon Turnovers and Sausage Rolls - but they are not for me. This is the last place i visit before i leave Cornwall, just so that i do not leave empty-handed; a must visit place for all Pasty eating ex-patriot Cornishmen.

I should start by saying the food was good and portion size generous. But the service lets it down - I ordered in person and the server stopped me talking twice to answer the phone. I get that they do

The restaurant is a great space but it looks a little tired and could do with an update and “zoning”. It is perhaps too open plan. It feels more like a canteen than a cozy café. Food-wise, the menu c
