USA Chicken in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Collected my food came home to Redruth took one bite of chicken burger was absolutely vile my partner's chicken wrap the same! Called up an said about it and was like didn't believe what I was saying so sent one of drivers out to check food then refunded me ... Bad food

Absolutely disgusting...greasy soggy, with a bread stuffing type texture, dark brown chicken portions, couldn't tell what cut of meat it is, can't describe how bad it was..chips like rubber, reheated from yesterday potatoes dry to point of crumbling, it looked like a nightmare looking in the box...pls avoid, complete waist of £42

Been quite hit and miss lately, a recent order we had was by far the worst food we’ve had from USA chicken including the previous owners whereas we decided to give them one more try a few days ago and it was amazing. Can’t fault delivery always arrived quicker than advertised and the portion sizes are good!

Used to be great but now it’s really hit and miss. We order from here at least once a week because we love the paninis. However the past 3 times we’ve ordered there have been items missing from paninis. Paid extra £2 for cheese in panini and there’s either no cheese or just one tiny bit of cheese that has fallen out the panini. Normally they put loads of cheese in, lovely and melted. Not sure what the sudden change is? Past 2 times we’ve ordered the paninis also haven’t been toasted for some reason? Basically a chicken sandwich, which isn’t what is advertised. Have had to toast it myself the past 2 times because otherwise it just tastes horrible. Have had to add my own cheese at home past 3 times as well. Didn’t take it back because the point of a takeaway is no hassle. Used to be really good here but we have been disappointed the last 3 times we have ordered so think we will be giving it a miss for a while. It is sad because we love USA but something is clearly happening or something has changed with how they prepare things. Not willing to pay the prices anymore when you aren’t getting any quality

Food is good and hot - big portions and chicken is very juicy.

Ordered, but staff were bit offish, they don't accept card but I saw no sign saying so, had to go to cashpoint to get cash which isn't a problem but the server wasn't too helpful.

Absolutely disgusting customer service!! We were sent the wrong item in our delivery. And instead if simply exchanging the wrong item for what we actually ordered (our suggestion to resolve their problem), the person on the phone refused to do anything. Then to top it all off he was incredibly rude and dismissive throughout the entire call. It sounded like he couldn't care less. If we could make a complaint in another way we absolutely would. Absolutely no customer service - a desperate need for common sense and training needed urgently. We order a lot from this place and were basically told to go somewhere else if we don't like it. We will never buy from here again and will make sure we tell everyone we know.

Absolutely love USA chicken. Order delivery to Redruth on a regular basis but am becoming frustrated by the constant desire to only take cash. Camborne has barely any banks anymore and it's the 21st century. Please start taking card.

Got a delivery foot was cold, the buger looked like it had been thrown together delivery driver put my foot on the floor whilst taking my money was very rude

Too hit and miss, the food can be good if they get it right. I’d go to somewhere with consistent quality instead. The stale, rock-hard ‘spicy’ potatoes need addressing.

Firstly the delivery driver was the most miserable, offish man yet to deliver food. The chips were just awful. In my opinion not fresh, hard and stale like. Wrap was nice.

USA Chicken was always a favourite of mine. The food is always great but now, unfortunately, the service is lacking. I've been in here twice recently and the team working make you feel like you are intruding. Barely any manners and don't hope for a 'thank you or good to see you again' It used to be such a friendly and welcoming place but now you are made to feel like they are doing you a favour by providing food. A shame.

Been using USA chicken for a while. Normally good service here with hot food delivery. But after last weekend, delivering the wrong food order to us and ignoring my constant messages to sort out the issue and no one has come back to us to offer apologies. Nothing worse than bad customer service. Getting nearly as bad as there food. Used to be the best place in Camborne. Seems to be going down hill.

30 minutes late, food cold, chips under cooked and cold must have been cold in the shop as the cheese didn't even melt a little chicken tasted like it's been stood for hours so not freshly cooked, rude staff on the phone when called to complain will avoid from now on and they are lucky to be given 1star

The worst part of living in London is not how people are all miserable, it’s not how expensive everything is, nor is it the lack of picturesque natural scenery; it’s now because I know the greatest chicken shop of all time resides in Camborne, Cornwall. I’m staying overnight for business reasons and was recommended USA Chicken by an employee of the hotel I’m staying in, and I cannot get over just how good the food was. I ordered the double chicken burger (peri peri sauce), chips, hot wings, jalapeño poppers, bbq beans & a can of Fanta. The item I first tried was the wings. If a chicken shop cannot get wings right, then they deserve to close. Immediately. USA Chicken hot wings were without doubt the greatest hot wings I’ve ever had, and I’ve encountered wings from independent shops in London, the obvious KFC, wings in Vegas, and the greatest airport pub/restaurant in Budapest, which do unreal food. Filled with excitement, I went straight into the jalapeño poppers. With each one dipped in the bbq beans, they didn’t last long, even if the portion size is 8 (EIGHT!) - they were also fantastic. I now had a very difficult choice; attempt to eat the chips, or head for the money maker - the double chicken burger. Naturally, I just *had* to try the chips. Needless to say, they were spot on. Considering it was a takeaway (lockdown etc etc), I fully expected the chips to be cold/soggy/uninspiring, but they were neither. I mean, they’re not chip shop chips, but as far as french fries go, they were some of the best I’ve ever had. Two slight criticisms: (1) no seasoning...stick a bit of salt on them, or at least put some mini salt sachets in the bag. (2) I went for a pot of ketchup to use with the chips; after opening the tub, the sauce kind of resembled a red colour, and I had to smell it to try and figure out what it was. It wasn’t until I remembered my order that I knew it must have been the ketchup. I decided to swerve that particular item. And now for the main event. The double chicken burger. A complete case of eyes bigger than belly here. Only managed a handful of chips (HUGE portion). The burger was fantastic. Think KFC double down, with buns. The meat was hot, which is good considering I ate this last, the chicken was flavoursome, and the peri peri sauce gave it the kick it needed. My only regret is only ordering a single can of Fanta. This meal warranted at least 2. It’s not often I find myself in Cornwall. In fact, this is only the second time. My partner has family that lives in Redruth, so next time we visit, I know exactly what I’ll be eating then! USA Chicken, thank you!

Felt blocky and distraught, had a hankering for chicken since i woke up dishevelled from a afternoon nap.. wrap enclosed fried chicken like a hand in a glove, some may say match made in heaven.. cheesey fries were pretty good for the following reasons, 1. the box was not Grease central, prehaps the fries had been hanging out in a hot window for a while but thats ok because it didn't give me a case of the ick. 2. cheese sat on top of fries like a thatched roof in wind and the willows, the hot processed potatoes fingers were lying happily side by side with their waxy cheese protector only downside of my meal was the lack of PIRII sauce in the wrap, I said I wanted a little bit but not to much, the chicken man gave me eye contact and said it wouldn't be too hot. Sadly he didn't provide said condiment either he thought I couldn't handle the heat or he simply just forgot.

Loved the food and was great service. Will definitely be back again soon

Had my take away delivered. Driver was amazing. Ordered some chicken pieces 4 they were bigger and tasted better than kfc. Recommend the kinder beuno chocolate brownie not to sickly. Big portions for the price. Night rare treat as I come down this way once a month. Rubs are amazing too got good deals online

This place gas the best food ever worth a visit

The chicken parmesan was awful. Had a funny after taste to it. I've had parmesans from atleast 15 different places around the country and this has got be the worst. Not worth £7.79 with a salad and a tiny portion of garlic sauce.

Delivered to incorrect address and when it finally arrived,it was cold.It happened few times .Avoid.Very disappointed.Asked for replacement,wasn’t told that they will collect cold food beforehand-grossed

Ordered from them one night and all was good, really tasty; was quite late so the food was ready quickly and delivery was quick. I ordered from them the next night at a busy period and they had obviously lapse on kitchen protocol; woke up the next morning and realised I had had a reaction to my only allergy and it got me kicked off a course that was gonna change my life... fuming.

Bruvv, mans from London, I know about chicken shops but did not expect to find this wonderful gem. My girlfriend suggested this place after finding it on Google. BRO, I am telling you this is the best fried chicken I've had ever!! The chicken wrap was basically a baseball bat, and the chicken burger was juicy AF. Highly recommended and well worth the drive!!

We have been having chicken burgers from USA Chicken for years and enjoying them. However we decided to try something new... don’t get excited... tried a wrap and a panini and they were fantastic. Without a doubt next order will include wraps and pano is again.

Been going here for years and I have always said its better than KFC. But this year it started being a bit hit and miss but as it was so nice when it was right I didn't mind. Until recently it has been absolutely awful. I had chicken and chips as I always do the other day. The chicken was OK but chips tasted older than me! I said to my partner I didn't want it again. That was until tonight when I caved on and tried it one last time. and it will definitely be the last time! chicken tasted rubbery and instead of chips they gave me some old tasting potato looking things but as I didnt notice until I got home I wasn't going to go back. How dare they take people's money in such hard times and serve them that crap! oh and the staff are rude to!

Had lots of orders from Camborne USAChicken over last few years so very pleased they are still open and delivering during this virus crisis... Had 3 orders during March but can’t do 3 reviews so close together. The chicken burgers were very tasty, delivered in good time and hot. Thanks for staying open!

Really annoyed :( .. I put my postcode in on their website and it didn't work so.. 1. I rang to explain to the person on the phone that it didn't work. He told me sometimes their website can do that because they deliver to redruth. I was to place my order for collection and pay by card. 2. Order was placed at 4 and i rang to confirm it will be delivered abd explained how to get to the house the guy said tge delivery guy will ring anyways. 3. 4.47 rang to check where food was as its for my bf for his bday! Was told it was out with driver. 4. 5.00 came and nothing but a phone call from driver who is lost don't speak english! I told him to go to the next road along explained very clearly and distinctively told him what we had surrounding the house.. You could not miss it! 5. He rang back and i was getting nowhere as language barrier! The shop then rang me it was then 5.20 i was stood outside the front garden waiting. I asked what we do if its cold and was told a refund on collection of cold food however the guy had the CHEEK to tell me on the phone that they don't deliver this far into redruth!! I checked.. Cold fried food is NOT my problem. The guy Delivering drove straight past me and the house until i waved whilst all this time the shop guy was on the phone. 6. Got food in and it was absolutely freezing and it angered me that much i couldn't ring them back to complain because i didn't want to explain all over again where we were and didn't need the stress!! You guys really stressed me out and upset me which then annoyed ny bf. He picked at the cold food.. Dog won't even eat it :/ won't return ever and i hope other people see this as a warning

Really consistent with the quickly of service here, would highly recommend fast service, cheap price and good chicken the spicy potatoes are the one.

Monday, so it was not busy. Food was soggy and potatoes had burnt been from being left out too long under the heater. Normally enjoyable but not worth the risk / money if they leave food out for an extended period. At least, when its not busy.

Rubbish service been waiting for months to try the Parmesan chicken, drove all the way from Goonhavern, asked for no onions as I hate them, he told the other bloke no onions and he wrote it on the box, got home and guess what was full of onions so wasted £8.50 on food I can't even eat, cheers USA chicken dumbasses.

Stopped in for a lunch while out shopping with wife. Staff was friendly, restaurant was well lit, clean. We both had chicken burger, it was ok, lots to eat, I found the chips a bit soggy.

Alot of food for you money. Our meal was excellent.

Love the spicy potatoes and ribs they're lush. Missed having them since moving to Penzance but we're soon be able have them once again can't wait 😁

With new owners in USA chicken has focused on social media advertisement, a new automated ordering system and essentially modernising what was a Camborne classic. In doing this they have neglected the most important aspect of their business: the quality of the food! Haven’t ordered much at all since the new owners came in as the chips are soggy and the in store service is poor

Really bad. No soft drinks or sides with the bucket of chicken. Often recently running out of food which is stupid given the industry it is in. Get a grip !!!!

Well don't really want to to find fault. Because chicken and beans and chips outstanding . But coleslaw and wedges and ribs where poor to say the least . But plenty to eat. And staff where friendly

Very good value, we had a meal deal which had plenty in for all of us, 2 teenagers and I . Lots of chips left over, quick and easy to order and they deliver too. Happily return again 😊

Just got some chicken some of the worst I’ve ever had

Years ago USA chicken was pretty dire.. but this last year we have tried it again and now it is fantastic and far better than KFC. There are lots of food options, very generous portions and very fast delivery. The prices are very good too. Highly recommend.
