Haven’t been here for ages so called in when passing , lovely friendly services as always . New menu loads to choose from, we had chilli burger with nacho cream and chips which was lovely only complaint was the nachos cheese was watery and tasted like water , needs to be thick and taste of cheese … my daughter loved her a mac and cheese chicken toast sandwich thing and chips . Definitely recommend and return

Home from home. Well run family pub and restaurant under the leadership of the landlord Matt, his wife and a fantastic team. Being my local I don't eat here hence why no score for food but it's clearly a hit with eaters.

Quick service and friendly, food good.

Awful this was the second time we have been to this place and it was awful, 1st we had starters and the waiter then asked if we were ready for our main so we said yes and it took them 30-45 minutes to bring them out and then I said to the waiter there’s no bacon in my bacon cheeseburger and he then came to me and said “the chef said look under the cheese” which was an unnecessary comment, then we went on to puddings and the waiter had to come back 5 times to tell me what they didn’t have in stock for the puddings

Absolutely great meal, very good prices too. As it it always busy you are better off booking a table.

Our food we had was hot well presented and the young lad that served us was very helpful and polite 10/10 all in all very pleased 👍

Our 1st visit of 2025 and it didn’t disappoint. I used the app to order at the table for the 1st time too. Very easy to use and the drinks came very fast!! Sunday roast for the both of us, beef for me and Turkey for hubby. Really tasty and hit the spot! Dessert was the new Trifle Baked Alaska well!! What can I say about that! Bloomin delicious! Staff were great too. Looking forward to more visits well done all! 🙌

Great food and excellent service. Tanya, the young lady who looked after us was efficient and friendly. They were quite happy for us to bring a birthday cake, which they brought out with lit candles at the end of our meal.

Rowden Arms went beyond everything! Today I had such a lovely experience. Great food, excellent service and atmosphere. I want to give Michael, one of the staff members a good big praise! He has been so kind, soft spoken and helpful. He definitely deserves a raise! Will come again x

Well where do I start we ordered the cluck and share witch is camburt cheese and chicken strips with garlic bread in seconds of it being brought out we had to send it straight back as it was cold and hard so couldn’t dip anything in there they offered to get us another witch the second one wasn’t as bad we then ordered the sizzling steak and the lamb kofta both cold the steak was far from sizzling the ment to be hot plate was cold the meat was fatty and everything else on the plate was watery the lamb kofta did not even get touched was stone cold and they asked if was ok exsplained the situation and all the said was do you want another one we replied no Thankyou as everything we’ve ordered so far has had to be sent back all we got was a smile and ok that was a place we went to celebrate my birthday and was so upset and gutted.

Had two roast dinners solid food got extra yorkies, pigs in blankets and roast spuds good quality for £10 each with a drink. Service was very good stayed for pudding and both were very good.

Tayla is a lively waitress! She is very attentive and always has a smile

Usually come here a few times a month for an easy family meal. Decent amount of food/desert for your money and the staff are always friendly and welcoming.

Long waiting time, then when we finally received the food, they gave us the wrong order. No effort from the staff.

Not special. Too much on the menu. Had a lamb flatbread. Tough and not real meat.

Service workers are always plesent. You know what you're getting and good value for money.

Stake was rare when asked for well done the batter on the fish was soggy the garlic bread was over cooked not enough butter for amount bread and the butter was to hard to spread nothing hot enough to melt the butter

Go to the Rowden arms weekly now as we enjoy being there,Matt the landlord and all of his staff are always happy to help very polite never too much trouble to help,the food is always freshly cooked hot as you expect and prices are great so they don’t hit a massive hole in your pocket well done all at the Rowden Arms from nick and stef ( also asks regarding allergies not like other places) going to spend our Christmas Day there for dinner

Tasty food at a reasonable price

We’re not exactly regulars but we do come here a few times a year and the food and service are always of a high standard. The staff (especially a young lady called leigh) are always helpful and professional!

It's a hungry horse, you can't go wrong

Most of there pub grub is very good value for what you pay however the Sunday roast dinners I wouldn't feed to a dog or a Somalian family

Don't know about the food drinks sound and Leigh is special

Not a good experience 😕 Waiting 1hr 20 for two meat pies, very little meat, with bullet peas is unacceptable. Usual excuses, 'everyone comes in at once, we are short staffed'. It was the same 12 months ago, never again.

Great staff and great food and prices, would definitely recommend coming here.

Visited today. We had a good meal, it was busy to be fare so had an expected delay. Not a problem and the food was good value and came out hot. Service was good and welcoming. Lee was very helpful and we would go there again.

Tried get £8 cocktail deal, read this deal from table card, but then charged defently, then took card away not impressed should offer what is advertised on table, not our fault staff didn't take offer away

We had a lovely roast dinner here £10 and a drink included. Absolute bargain and food was really good. Lovely young girl at the bar who was friendly and efficient. Would definitely return here.

Service was ok ish only one person serving another one was doing other stuff I was told when asked. Food was hot for a change but I think paying an extra £2 for scampi added to my meal and only receiving 4 yes 4 small pieces was totally a rip off and very disappointing.

The staff are super friendly and welcoming, and they seem to enjoy working there too. I've been a couple times and every visit is great. Food is good, especially desserts, and has a variety for everyone. The place is clean and cosy if you go later in the day, but it can be a bit loud if you go earlier because it is family-friendly and there may be kids. I personally just put on noise-cancelling headphones when any kids that are there are loud, so I'd recommend bringing some if you go during peak hours. For the accessibility part of my review as a person with autism, I would recommend it, especially during the slower hours. The lighting is inoffensive—not too bright but also not too dull. There are booths and tables that have textures that aren't harsh and would be comfortable for most. There's a variety of food and a kids menu that serves food that a variety of people would enjoy. You can also look at the menu online before you visit, which is great. It can be loud, but not to the point where most noise-cancelling headphones wouldn't help, I stayed for a while and by the end of the visit it was calmer. Overall, it was a great experience, and I don't doubt I'll be returning soon.

Was the worst pub I have ever been . Order the good from the table at 2.25pm and just start eating at 3.20pm . And no , wasn't busy was almost empty at that time . The food was almost cold . Honestly, it's the worst pub I have ever been . 5 adults and 2 children

Bad food, bad service. One of the worst diner we've ever had at a pub. Fish and chips had barely any fish just some burnt batter, the steak was like chewing gum. Better off at a McDonalds.

Very pleasantly surprised by this place! The new menu is amazing. The food was superb especially at the price. Staff were really welcoming and friendly and the service was spot on. What more do you need!

The food has gone up in quality, in my opinion over the last couple of years! It's cheap, the staff are friendly although could probably do with a couple more at busy times.

We had a wonderful experience today, we went out for lunch with my 15 month old son who was unfortunately sick after his food due to a medical issue, the two ladies who were working were amazingly kind and compassionate making sure he was okay and making sure his experience was the best it could be, we can not thank them enough for this as it wasn’t the easiest situation. ❤️🙏 On a side note the food was very tasty and well cooked. Really good for the price paid 😊

Was served by Leigh on 13th June, a very pleasant lady who was happy to help and ensure everything was ok, thank you. Would happily recommend the pub and its food.

Busy pub, yet the food came out in a timely manner. Enjoyable meal. Bit disappointed that I couldn't use my Blue Light Badge, had my card but also wanted the code off the site but couldn't gain access to the app! the discount would have been handy as I was paying for 4 people's meals. If I visit the area in the future I will make sure I get code off app before I go. 😊

Not really a food pub, more sports bar as advertised

Everytime I've been here the service has been great. The drinks are great too and for what you pay the food is excellent! A go to for an easy night for me and the Mrs.

Very slow service roasted dinner was processed meat tandoori chicken was rubbery not staffs fault internet did not function very well just bad experience

Went there on Sunday. Chose tandoori chicken. Meat which was processed was rubbery and chewy. Told manager and swap it for turkey roast. More processed meat 4 round thin slices of dark meat deffo not turkey. When we paid told them meat not nice. Reply all meat is processed not nice meat at all. One young lad serving everyone we asked for horseradish to be asked do we want ice with that. Didn't receive anything. Service took ages but only a few tables. Meat was nasty and not cheap at all. Never go back

Had the 2 roasts for £15.49 on Easter Sunday. Arrived quick and hot. Would eat here again. Nice lot of vegetables and gravy.

For the price it's ok but, the quality of the meat produce is not great. Service is great.

Excellent hungry horse pub, one of the best I have visited as the Food was cooked extremely well and the service on my visit was also excellent. Well worth booking a table if you are looking for a great meal and are in the area.

A lovely meal sizzler steak with peppers, sauce, and cheese with chips and peas. Steak tasty, no fat or gristle . Sweet nacho to share for pud. Plenty for two.

Great food, as always! The Mexican pasta salad with salmon is a lovely addition to the menu just in time for summer. The only criticism is that the drinks we ordered did not arrive before the meal. We had to ask about them when our meal arrived, though once prompted, they turned up speedily.

We went in with a large group for a birthday meal and the staff were very accommodating. Despite the chaos the food was served hot and delicious and the friendliness of the staff really made my boys birthday he couldn’t stop smiling. Definitely recommend for large groups.

I had the Korean buttermilk bbq burger which was so flavoursome. I came here with family on a Friday and it was BOGOF on all burgers, no exemptions on this also. The service was prompt and very friendly. All in all my partner, myself and our daughter all had a drink and a main for less than £25. Incredible value for money and a pleasant atmosphere

Very fast service, food was average but cheap, atmosphere was noisy and busy, sensation overload for me unfortunately. Looked very short staffed and employees were struggling to keep up with customer demand.

Don't waste your time or money, it's really not worth it. Made a quick decision to stop and have some food as we had 3 hungry kids in the car and though we had low expectations, imagined it would be fine enough. Wish we didn't Main meals were around £10 so not expensive and the staff were pleasant enough but the food was almost inedible, vegetables were grey, watery, mush. Sausages overcooked and crunchy, burgers soggy, odd tasting and wet buns. Sticky tables, broken chairs. Gents toilets out of order. No soft drinks on tap. Really the worst meal I've had in 40 years. A sandwich from a garage or mcd's would be so much better if your after a quick bite. I can't believe anyone goes to this place twice even if it's cheap.

Meals was fantastic the Atmosphere was great. The service was Fantastic and also staff were amazing will definitely be coming back.
