It's cheap and cheerful but has a good selection of vegan dishes. Bit of a 60s pub feel but doesn't matter. Always good value deals on.

Lovely service and they welcome my barking dog which is great. The drinks are delicious as they do a nice vanilla milkshake with cream and little marshmallows for a good price

I have been a regular customer for many years and have never had a bad meal, today's roast dinner as per usual was delicious. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Our waitress today was Carla and her service and attitude was spot on.

I think I have just eaten the best meal EVER! We were absolutely exhausted and didn't know if we'd arrived too late to order food. As always, the staff are lovely and very welcoming. We were treated to the best Gammon on the planet, and all of the trimmings were just spot on. I think I can now slip happily into hibernation. One grizzly old bear very happy and well fed.

Unfortunately the Sunday roast was under pa! Roast beef was dry and way over cooked, the roast potatoes were soft and cold, the mashed potatoes tasted like smash out of a tin, the Yorkshire pudding was soft and cold, the pigs in blankets looked aneamic. Such a pity as it would have been good value for money instead it was just cheap badly cooked food. I was looking forward to a Sunday roast instead I got disappointment. My frappe was just watered chocolate powder with cold water again so disappointing. I won’t be returning.

We had a great family meal here for 9 people. All the food was lovely and hot. It was served promptly and all together. Our waitress Tanya was very friendly and helpful. Great prices and deals on each day.

Me & my wife moved to the area around 3 years ago. Since then the Rowden Arms has been our local eatery ever since. We often have dinner here (sometimes 4/5 nights a week) Of all the countless meals and occasions here we have NEVER had a single bad meal. Every member of the team works so hard. From the moment you walk through the flier you are greeting with such a warm welcome. The service which the floor staff provide is next to none, and they really make sure you have an enjoyable evening. Which is why we keep coming back. The kitchen staff are SUPERB, cooking up top tier quality dishes. Thankyou Rowden Arms for making us feel so welcome. Tom & Autumn ❤️

Haven’t been here for ages so called in when passing , lovely friendly services as always . New menu loads to choose from, we had chilli burger with nacho cream and chips which was lovely only complaint was the nachos cheese was watery and tasted like water , needs to be thick and taste of cheese … my daughter loved her a mac and cheese chicken toast sandwich thing and chips . Definitely recommend and return

Home from home. Well run family pub and restaurant under the leadership of the landlord Matt, his wife and a fantastic team. Being my local I don't eat here hence why no score for food but it's clearly a hit with eaters.

Our 1st visit of 2025 and it didn’t disappoint. I used the app to order at the table for the 1st time too. Very easy to use and the drinks came very fast!! Sunday roast for the both of us, beef for me and Turkey for hubby. Really tasty and hit the spot! Dessert was the new Trifle Baked Alaska well!! What can I say about that! Bloomin delicious! Staff were great too. Looking forward to more visits well done all! 🙌

Great food and excellent service. Tanya, the young lady who looked after us was efficient and friendly. They were quite happy for us to bring a birthday cake, which they brought out with lit candles at the end of our meal.

Went for a Christmas party. Food was awful. Service was slow and they just looked miserable serving us.

Usually come here a few times a month for an easy family meal. Decent amount of food/desert for your money and the staff are always friendly and welcoming.

Service workers are always plesent. You know what you're getting and good value for money.

Stake was rare when asked for well done the batter on the fish was soggy the garlic bread was over cooked not enough butter for amount bread and the butter was to hard to spread nothing hot enough to melt the butter

We’re not exactly regulars but we do come here a few times a year and the food and service are always of a high standard. The staff (especially a young lady called leigh) are always helpful and professional!

Most of there pub grub is very good value for what you pay however the Sunday roast dinners I wouldn't feed to a dog or a Somalian family

Don't know about the food drinks sound and Leigh is special

Not a good experience 😕 Waiting 1hr 20 for two meat pies, very little meat, with bullet peas is unacceptable. Usual excuses, 'everyone comes in at once, we are short staffed'. It was the same 12 months ago, never again.

Friday 27/9/24. Spot on. Served by Leigh, who asked me to leave a review. I had the Mixed Grill and Alaskan bake for dessert. Would highly recommend 🙂

Visited today. We had a good meal, it was busy to be fare so had an expected delay. Not a problem and the food was good value and came out hot. Service was good and welcoming. Lee was very helpful and we would go there again.

Tried get £8 cocktail deal, read this deal from table card, but then charged defently, then took card away not impressed should offer what is advertised on table, not our fault staff didn't take offer away

We had a lovely roast dinner here £10 and a drink included. Absolute bargain and food was really good. Lovely young girl at the bar who was friendly and efficient. Would definitely return here.

Service was ok ish only one person serving another one was doing other stuff I was told when asked. Food was hot for a change but I think paying an extra £2 for scampi added to my meal and only receiving 4 yes 4 small pieces was totally a rip off and very disappointing.

The staff are super friendly and welcoming, and they seem to enjoy working there too. I've been a couple times and every visit is great. Food is good, especially desserts, and has a variety for everyone. The place is clean and cosy if you go later in the day, but it can be a bit loud if you go earlier because it is family-friendly and there may be kids. I personally just put on noise-cancelling headphones when any kids that are there are loud, so I'd recommend bringing some if you go during peak hours. For the accessibility part of my review as a person with autism, I would recommend it, especially during the slower hours. The lighting is inoffensive—not too bright but also not too dull. There are booths and tables that have textures that aren't harsh and would be comfortable for most. There's a variety of food and a kids menu that serves food that a variety of people would enjoy. You can also look at the menu online before you visit, which is great. It can be loud, but not to the point where most noise-cancelling headphones wouldn't help, I stayed for a while and by the end of the visit it was calmer. Overall, it was a great experience, and I don't doubt I'll be returning soon.

Was the worst pub I have ever been . Order the good from the table at 2.25pm and just start eating at 3.20pm . And no , wasn't busy was almost empty at that time . The food was almost cold . Honestly, it's the worst pub I have ever been . 5 adults and 2 children

Bad food, bad service. One of the worst diner we've ever had at a pub. Fish and chips had barely any fish just some burnt batter, the steak was like chewing gum. Better off at a McDonalds.

We had a wonderful experience today, we went out for lunch with my 15 month old son who was unfortunately sick after his food due to a medical issue, the two ladies who were working were amazingly kind and compassionate making sure he was okay and making sure his experience was the best it could be, we can not thank them enough for this as it wasn’t the easiest situation. ❤️🙏 On a side note the food was very tasty and well cooked. Really good for the price paid 😊

Busy pub, yet the food came out in a timely manner. Enjoyable meal. Bit disappointed that I couldn't use my Blue Light Badge, had my card but also wanted the code off the site but couldn't gain access to the app! the discount would have been handy as I was paying for 4 people's meals. If I visit the area in the future I will make sure I get code off app before I go. 😊
