Great food to be fair and not over priced me and the wife drinks main meal 40 quid that was enough for us to stuffed for desert

As always, good food at a reasonable price. Service was a bit (not too bad) slower than the last time. But chicken burger was really juicy and tasty. A local favourite.

Very nice overall. Only one time I had my order never arrive because they forgot where my table was, which was odd.

Tapas Tuesday was perfect, we had three choices each, I had the veggie versions, lovely and tasty/spicy, my partner had meaty choices, plus the obligatory patatas bravas 😋and free glass of wine each....no pudding as quite full. Love the 'lounges' chain, the atmosphere is very relaxing and they choose their staff very well..top marks 🥰

We went for a lounge breakfast this morning,couldn’t fault it like usual!Was on Route to somewhere(guess)and has been here before and had a brilliant experience so decided to repeat it.The food was all delicious.I had the halloumi,gluten free saussage and bacon butty,gluten free toast with butter and jam and hash browns.The food is top quality,you can’t beat a lounge breakfast and so much gluten free options,never seen anywhere with so many options.Fantastic service,speedy and polite.Relaxed atmosphere for a Sunday morning.I sat by the door with the window open,it was so lovely having the fresh air and view of the high street.Would highly recommend Rivo lounge!

Nice food but depending what you get can be a bit pricey. The atmosphere and location is great, The waiting staff are also fast, efficient and make sure you have everything you need. Proper burger van ketchup though, get some Heinz!

Popular cafe/bar on 2 floors next to the bridge. Typical of Lounge group bars. Little ale choice except a good but bottled Bristol Milk Stout.

Food was excellent, I cannot complain, about this, i come here frequently for the food. Service is usually good, but my most recent visit was on form!

Great restaurant that puts a lot of focus on allergens and dietary needs. There are dedicated gluten free and vegan menus, which can be accessed online and filtered. The remaining items after filtering still offer a good choice. Less than 6 people cannot book a table which can be difficult during peak times. There is a lot of seating upstairs and downstairs and has some outside by the river. You must walk to the bar to order and pay for food, however servers did make a point of walking over whilst we were eating to ask how the food was. Many drink options also

I often visit here with friends. Friendly staff. Almost always crowded. Prices are moderate, dishes to suit any taste. Children love burgers (and adults too 😉). Everything I tried was delicious.

Good breakfast, great fresh orange juice, cappuccino was not burned/over-roasted like most places I've been to in England and the staff were very good. Well worth a visit.

Lovely menu & drinks! Had a super meal & gorgeous elderflower drink.

First visit to this unassuming location by the bridge. It was busy with customers of a wide age range. Couldn't work the app so ordered painlessly at the bar instead. Food didn't take long and everything was delicious!

Tend not eat at the various loungers ( all over the place ). BUT DO use them for drinks , usually coffee , which because of their spaciousness , always makes for relaxing time . ( A feature not all of those places of a similar trade seem able to better ). SO , l have always been able and happy to use Loungers for business meetups or chill outs with family or friends and will continue as long as current standards of service are maintained.

Visited Rivo for a few pre-drinks. Nice spot in Chippenham when the sun is out, but service was lacking. Asked for 3 pints, received only 2, and we had to go back to the bar to get our cocktail, which they said they would take to the table. Food was really good. Would have rated it higher if the service had been better.

I didn't plan to eat there initially but since we were with our boy and they had food for kids, we decided to dine there. The food was excellent, prompt serving, nice staff. Totally recommend!

My family came in for lunch on the unfortunate Sunday 19th May when a poor man passed away. All members of staff were incredible that day and warrant nothing but praise but none more so than the blonde man with glasses (apologies for not remembering his name). He was incredible with both the man on the stairs and the poor young lad who threw up before that. Even before the terrible incident... he was welcoming, friendly and great with our kids. This man is a credit to your team but furthermore, an all round wonderful human being!

Arrived at about 2130 and got the feeling they couldn't wait to be rid of us to be able to close up, given they aren't supposed to close until 2300. The upstairs was closing as we arrived, however the toilets are upstairs, a customer tried to go upstairs to use the toilet but was then told to use the disabled toilet/baby change room on the ground floor. Luckily I didn't need to the loo as I wouldnt have been very happy to use that mixed use toilet, I'd envisage possible tinkles on the floor/seat from male customers whose aim could be off given the alcohol ingestion. The guys behind the bar were lovely and cheery though

Fabulous brunch recently. Staff were fantastic, really welcoming. Food was delicious, great menu options. We had the added bonus of sitting outside in the sun too.

Great atmosphere with nice design. Really surprised to find a decent restaurant in Chippenham. The all day breakfast is delicious pretty spot on. Only thing to improve is the QR code. Definitely will visit again.

Super busy when I went on a Friday night but loved the vibes and the food

A lovely place, fairly big and doggies are welcome. Staff is super friendly towards people and the pets. Food was delicious too! I'm not a vegetarian/vegan myself but couple of our crew members are and I saw they did receive their own menu and both loved the options and the food they ordered.

The food here is so fresh, crunchy and delicious. My favourite dish so far is the bang bang chicken. I also was really surprised by how good the honey-whipped feta tapas dish tasted. It comes with a flatbread to scoop it up. The quality is consistently high. The breakfasts are very generous - almost too much. And they use paper straws. It's both cozy and spacious at the same time. The staff are always welcoming and friendly.

Lovely place with lovely staff. The prices are quite good and the quality is great. You can easily see why this place has a constant stream of visitors. Plenty of seating plus there's outside seating lovely during the summer.

Service is really prompt here. Food is food and reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere, can come here for a coffee with friends or a meal out with a larger group. You can order at the bar or through a QR code on the menu. Menu is very extensive, something for everyone and they cater for dietary requirements well.

We went here twice now and only ordered milkshakes and had to wait over 30 minutes both times!

First visit to Rivo and I was very impressed! Great choice of menu choices including a separate vegan menu. The Bang Bang Cauliflower, served with noodles, pak choi, tenderstem broccoli, mushrooms and sugar snap peas topped with bang bang coconut sauce, sesame seeds and chill was absolutely delicious and I could have eaten it twice over! The halloumi burger served with hummus, roasted peppers, tomato, red onion and chipotle chilli jam and a side portion of chips was also very good. The service was very quick, despite being Friday night busy. Would definitely recommend and revisit.

A versatile and reliable spot to go for brunch, or drinks with friends, or bring visitors from other places. One of Chippenham's best venues for all sorts of social gatherings. The staff are always helpful, and the menu is extensive and varied. Ordering with their website is easy, too, and prices are very fair. I have had a couple of times where food took a long time to arrive, but given the sheer number of times I've been here I can say it's a rare occurrence.

Staff are friendly, atmosphere is welcoming but the selection of lager leaves a lot to be desired.

went for a belated mother's day meal - never been before - was greeted by a lovely lady and had the best service from a cheery waitress - all in all a lovely meal and experience.

The food is really good, just a little shy on size for my liking but then I'm a big eater so it'll be fine for most. It's a big place with seating over 2 levels and the staff are always friendly

Saturday morning breakfast was delicious & despite being busy, served swiftly. All the staff were very friendly & helpful.

I am so impressed with Rivo and their customer service skills. Nothing is ever too much trouble and they always make you feel so welcome. They have an extensive Gluten Free range and incredibly strict about contamination of food. Hence why we always goto Rivo if shopping in Chippenham. Today my husband accidentally forgot to ask for no butter on his toast ( which his fried egg was sat on). Without hesitation they took his plate and returned with a fried egg on toast and without even asking swopped out the mushrooms for ones not cooked in butter. It really is a place particularly if you’re intolerant to certain foods. They have such a great attitude - even towards their colleagues, as one tripped on the stairs with a tray of coffees - immediately the team went to help her and I could hear them ensuring she was ok. They quickly cleaned up and the waitress was able to sort herself out.. The manager on duty was kind and calm, treating her with as much respect as his customers. Well done Rivo..

Will definitely recommend this place for the food and atmosphere. Food was presented well and tastes great. Great value for money. Very friendly service. It took over 15min for the food to come to the table but was worth the wait. There is no parking near the restaurant but there was a paid parking/ parking lot nearby ( on bath road)

Brunch was good. I ordered the lounge eggs with bacon and they came out originally undercooked. The staff immediately brought a new meal and took the price off our bill without being asked. Great service!

We visited Rivo Lounge on a Monday evening which meant we got a free pudding with our mains. The food was excellent. We all had burgers of different types, which were really good and the puddings were great, no small measures because they were free. Staff were attentive and friendly and the food came quickly. Much better than your usual microwaved pub grub. I recommend a visit

Was based on Chippenham for a few days, ate here three times every single meal was superb. Goan cauliflower curry and Bang Bang Cauliflower were my favourites. Great food. Sat and had a few drinks after in the relaxed friendly bar. Can’t wait to visit here again

Breakfast ok excluding toasts (they are swimming in fat) but you should be very rich to eat there. Staff is not willing to swap some options on the plate, for all you have to pay extra.. For the price supposed to be top quality but is not.

Went for Tapas Tuesday. Cozy atmosphere with amazing dishes.

It's a great place to have dinner at. We went on 31st evening for some dinner and it was really good! Although no one informed us that we need to order online and pay for it so we were waiting for about 15 mins before we realised that. It would have been nice for someone to inform us about the online ordering beer hand. However once we ordered online the food came quick, the drinks were nice the food was good! The staff was good! We ordered mac and cheese, bang bang burger and nasi goreng ( which was my favourite) Will definitely be back for another meal sometime!

Despite the super busy pre-Christmas visit, staff and food were all lovely. So much so that the kids and grandparents went back a week later ❤️

Had an awesome brunch here. They cater for vegans and vegetarians with lots of choices for all tastes. What I liked was ordering via the app, food came quickly and hot. Payment was done including a tip when ordering so you can leave whenever you want to. Would certainly recommend visiting here, bus top and high street are right outside

Haven’t had a lounge breakfast for months,however this is my second one this week!Lovely lounge,was on the way to Wales so decided to call in to Rivo lounge for breakfast.Lovely decor,love the lights,ceiling,decoration,paintings and photos.Great vibe and atmosphere.Also service was on point and quick too.Very friendly staff as well.Also it was so lovely that they did a silence to commemorate armistice day.The food was delicious as well,ordered bacon and sausage butty the bun though it came with a gluten free flag I wasn’t 100% satisfied with the bun.It usually looks different.But I didn’t eat the bun.Just put this on the review as a warning.However the bacon,saussages,hash browns and chorizo was delicious.Also the toilets were pretty clean and restaurant was clean too.Loved to sit on the sofas,extremley comfortable,not many opportunities to eat breakfast out on a sofa.Also I loved it that you can get the unlimited water tap as well,orange juice and water tastes so nice mixed together,got about 6 glasses from there.Loads of clean glasses out already waiting for you to drink out of them.Also you could lend games,books and I think toys.The gluten free menu is fantastic too,loads of choice!Also I like it that you can order and pay at the bar so that you can leave when you are ready.Also centrally located to Chippenham town centre and the riverside,makes sense to call it Rivo lounge!Would highly recommend

Went for lunch. Food was excellent, atmosphere was nice. Big windows allowed one to people watch when conversation stalled. Try the lounge eggs my Canadian brother said they were the best he's had in the UK. Dog friendly, people friendly. Great place!

I regularly go to the Lounge Bars in Devizes, Chippenham and Trowbridge. The Rivo lounge is the closest to me but the most disappointing of the three. I ordered the big breakfast for brunch and was surprised to find it only had two sausages and two slices of bacon compared to 3 of each at Trowbridge. It was to be my only meal until 7pm so I had deliberately ordered something substantial. I kid you not, the black pudding was barely 2mm thick. I have never seen such a thin sliver of black pudding in my life. The food was nicely cooked but not very hot. I’m sure I’ve had this issue before here. The eggs were far too undercooked for my liking, I’m not a fan of clear egg white but that is personal preference. Not particularly great value given its a smaller portion than other restaurants in the same chain. However, the staff were great. Very friendly and attentive. I think I’ll drive that little bit further to Devizes next time.

I used to enjoy coming here, but now we don't bother anymore. It's got worse as time has gone on, really, which is a shame. Firstly the wait for food is so long that you end up running out of parking time on the car it's that ridiculous so we've had to abandon our order and leave due to not having enough time to spend waiting. Then, when food turns up, it's never perfect, so it's not worth the wait. You always have to chase up parts of the order that haven't arrived or when it does arrive the food is cold, dry, overcooked or whatever it is. One time we had half our order missing, cold food and dishes empty with barely any food there so we got up and left with a refund.

The staff are friendly and accommodating. Very pleased with our food and drinks.

We came in on a Saturday lunch time, it had just started to rain and it looked like lots of other people had had the same idea. This place was slammed! I’ve been in lots of times but today I was super impressed. They were clearly busy but the staff were on it and still really friendly and efficient. The food was possibly some of the best i’ve ever had there too. I work in hospitality so really felt the need to say great job for everyone who was working so hard today.

Lovely family meal, but slow clearing tables around us, food good, ran out of some pudding choices but otherwise very enjoyable.

Coffee is good, atmosphere is great, staff are even better. Would recommend the upstairs area at night (when they light all the candles) for a relaxing drink away from home.

We visited today for breakfast with my toddler and my mum. The staff were so attentive, friendly and helpful. The food was utterly delicious and the service 10/10 We are so glad we popped in. Definitely recommend for families.

As part of the loungers group you know of what to expect from any of them. To be fair the breakfast was fairly decent but given how quick itvarrived I'm not sure it was cooked as fresh as it should be. Also I'd rather my toast wasn't buttered first especially as it was clearly margarine and mot butter. The serving staff were impeccably polite and friendly but the noise from the kitchen was ridiculous and of course the language being used was far from appropriate.

We visited for breakfast on the busy Chippenham Folk Festival weekend. But even though the restaurant was busy service was quick. We both had the full English breakfast and it was delicious. Rivo is part of a chain but somehow doesn't feel like it.

Very poor service had to wait a while for the food but when it came the crispy chicken was so over cooked you couldn't even cut it trying to get a member of staff attention was very difficult the 1st one completely ignored us. We then waited 15 minutes for a replacement but the other person had eaten there meal which was ladden so thickly with burger sauce the bun was soggy. The general cleanliness was poor the menus on the table were covered in food and the table was dirty and the entrance way was very dirty. Very poor in comparison to other branches visited in Beeston and Abergavenny and Monmouth

In the heart of Chippenham, newly decorated Rivo is the go-to place for good food and drink. Staff are always friendly and attentive with timely service. You may wait a while for a drink on a busy evening if there is a big cocktail order - but that's to be expected. Despite being a chain it feels like an independent. A must visit for families, couples and friends.
