I had an amazing experience at the green king table, the service was great. The fish and chips, turkey pie and mashed potatoes. The bar service was incredible, will definitely come back again.

I didn’t expect to have this much bad pub food in UK, especially chips was terrible. You can come fore drink, though. They give you free beer until 12th December. Don’t forget to connect their wifi and claim your code for feee beer :)

It reminded me of some local old man pubs . So for that liked it. But I wouldn't go out of my way to go there tho

Beer and atmosphere were good. Food was so terrible I had to write the manager to complain about it. They did not answer me. Shameful way to treat customers.

I happened to stop by while looking for a good fish and chips restaurant. This was my 4th visit to London, England, so I actually didn't have any expectations about the menu itself, but this restaurant was better than I expected. The fried fish and chips were very crispy and the fish meat was very moist. The french fries that came with it were also very salty, so it was by far the best fish and chips I've ever had in the UK. Even the staff are very friendly. The man pouring beer at the bar and the woman in charge of the hall are very friendly. If there's one thing that's disappointing, the beer selection is a bit limited. It would be nice to have a light and refreshing style Lager like Bud light, and it would be even better to have a popular beer like Stella artois. There are a lot of taps, but the variety of beer is a bit disappointing. Other than that, everything is satisfactory. The outdoor tables have a nice atmosphere, and the interior has a nice atmosphere as well. It has a British feel. Highly recommended.

Surprisingly lovely, laid back pub in the back street from Leicester Square Station and away from all the bustle and hustle. We enjoyed beers and chips. Service and ambience were great.

A nice and central spot to have a beer and grab a bite. Entering a side street, you get away from the crowd of the area, and the fact that there are plenty of seating options both inside and outside is a plus. The prices are on par with the area and, like the rest of the city's tourist spots, a bit expensive. A pint of beer is over 7 pounds. Overall, I recommend it for taking a break from your trip and relaxing for 1-2 hours.

Steak and Ale Pie and Steak Sandwich were delicious and the waitress was extremely nice. Would come back any time.

Food was okay. Felt like the workers didn't want anyone there. Oh, and they say you can watch sports, but wouldn't turn the TV on for several.

We bought a pint and a glass of house white. I had a couple of sips of the wine and realised it was off, it tasted more like a cheap cider. My partner took it back and explained the situation to the barmaid who was quite rude. Her first response was "well you did order house white" and she was generally a bit snobbish and dismissive. My partner insisted it wasn't right regardless of it being a house wine so she then spoke to her manager. Thankfully the manager was a lot more helpful and admitted the bottle had been open a while so was probably off! They replaced it with a freshly opened bottle which was much better. I appreciate these things happen so it's no big deal but the barmaids initial response was not nessessery and didn't make us want to stay for another. Location-wise it's a handy spot and there were plenty of outside seats so it's a shame the staff didn't make us feel more welcome otherwise we could have happily stayed longer.

Been coming to this pub regularly for over a year now, and it’s always our go to! Always have lovely pints (moretti is always the go to) and non-alcoholic options too! Ibbella is the kindest and sweetest bartender and it’s always nice to see her friendly face <3

Very disappointing experience. We made a reservation way beforehand, explaining we come with a dog. Got a very friendly reply and all was fine. The day itself when we arrived we got seated at very high tables at the toilet door. Not so dog friendly. It looked like our reservation wasn't even taken care off. Big let down and not so customer friendly. We went to another pub nearby that the staff even recommended themselves.

My friend and I meet here often after work for a couple of drinks! We love it. Cheaper than other bars nearby! On Friday night, we decided to order some food, and they did not disappoint us! We ordered everything to share, and we really like it! That is the main reason why I am doing a review: the food was better than at the at the restaurant close by! We were thinking about drink and eat something. While we were walking we sow this classic british pub and we decided to give a try after see the Place. Just One Word... Amazing expirience. The quality and taste of their Food and the variations of drink was incredible. Thanks also to Nadiim. He was really kind and he did this expirience even beter. Definitely a Place to come and enjoy a good time. İf we have the oportunity to come again to London we will definitely be here again.

Great pub in the centre of town!

Lovely service but food was terrible. Sunday roast was dry piece of fatty beef with gravy that tasted like vinegar that's gone bad. Overcooked cauliflower, dry potatoes, the only thing that tasted good was the vanilla custard on the sticky toffee pudding. Again the service was lovely but the food the worst we had in London and the atmosphere so-so. Would not go again.

I came in yesterday with my husband with no reservation, the team managed to find us a table even though it was a very busy Easter Sunday afternoon. We enjoyed the Fish and Chips and Chicken Sunday Roast which were both very good quality and great portion sizes! We also had the Mini Dessert with a hot chocolate which we thought was priced very well. The waiters were all so attentive and made us feel well looked after too. We will definitely be back again!

We orderd a Gin and Tonic and an Aperol Spritz. They didn’t know what a gin & tonic was and forgot the Aperol Spritz… I guess Gin and Tonic is a bit of an unusual combination. :-)

A classic British pub nestled in the heart of London, offering lower prices compared to another nearby restaurants.The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff are exceptionally friendly. I highly recommend trying their delicious fish and chips.

I will 100% recommend round table. The staff is really cooperative and everything was well organised. We had a hygienic and tasty food experience there.

Really nice pub with a lovely vibe. I've been to a few local green king pubs but this one has to be one of my favourites. It was bustling the two times I went, but I didn't mind standing. The servers and staff are very sweet to talk to. I got my order of the bartender's choice of cocktail with gin and decent fries fairly quickly. I returned here with my partner soon after. Can't wait to visit again!

We had a booking for a Sunday roast at noon. No client, so there no rush, but at 1 pm, we were still asked to wait to order. Finally after one hour waiting we were able to at least order a tea and a drink (not the ones we asked for as a lot of "not available" as an answer even if on the card. We then tried to order our Sunday roast after 1h waiting and the waitress said again no Sunday roast chicken when they knew when we came that's what we'd order as we asked at the beginning for it and they said it was available. So we spent 1h15 seated there just to finally drink a poor green tea and a ginger ale basic for 10 pounds. We just left without trying to eat. We ate and drank in other Greene Kings during our stay, and it was perfect. This one is catastrophique and a bad press for Greene Kings' name.

I worked in this pub, 12 years ago, different company. I have very good memories, and it was good to be back and visiting, where all started.

Stayed in London for a nice.extended weekend, and whilst there met some friends in Covent Garden. Found The Round Table and an empty table inside and so it began. Ordered food and drinks via the Green King app. Drinks arrived followed by a telling off for ordering food as the kitchen was short staffed despite the app allowing us to, no signs anyway saying food wasn't available and there being menus on the table. But as we'd ordered, they would be fulfilled, may just be a little wait. When the food arrived (1 vegetarian burger, and 1 cheese burger) it was placed in front of us without knowing which one was which and despite asking the member of staff we had to work it out ourselves. The vegetarian burger was nice, the cheese burger unfortunately wasn't so good, and appeared to have been cooked in an Icelandic volcano. I could say the knife was blunt but even a spork can cut through a decent burger, unfortunately even Geoff Capes wouldn't have been able to cut through this with a chainsaw. The matter was brought to the attention of a member of staff, and despite being told that he didn't know what meat looked like a refund was offered along with a free alcoholic beverage. Cue the second order of a cheese and bacon burger and chicken and bacon club sandwich. The second burger appeared to have been cooked in the great fire of London and left to finish cooking in the sun ever since. The chips that accompanied it were delicious as was the lone soldier of a solitary onion ring. Again this was brought to the attention of staff and a refund was offered again. Following this the kitchen was closed and all menus removed rudely. Having worked in hospitality I understand the pressures but if you are that short staffed maybe close the kitchen or run a reduced menu to make your life just that little bit easier. Also maybe a little staff training may not go amiss. Having read some of the other reviews I feel that we may have caught you on a bad day, unfortunately due to our experience we won't be back

Currently sat here on our way back to Waterloo, just stumbled across it after looking at many expensive eateries. Made to feel welcome and food was ok. Will return and drink & eat again in the future…

For a pub chain the fish and chips was excellent, as good as our local chippy. The staff worked solidly, clearing tables, re-stocking. It's no wonder it was so busy.

I have come to this pub many times over the last 10 years or more. In part, it's a good place to meet friends if you're going to the theatre. The last couple of times I've been (2023/2024) they've suffered from a lack of staff and very inexperienced staff, who take forever. We had to walk out after 10 minutes of not getting served a week ago, despite there only being 2 people in front of us. Hopefully things will improve for them

Me and my wife came into this small and cosy pub last Thursday after the theatre. We ordered fish and chips, pie and some beers and were welcomed by lovely ladies Selen , Benni and Julia and they took a good care of us making it an amazing experience. Food and service were amazing so we will definitely be coming back when we are back in London !

The decor and vibe was fun, the staff were all lovely, and super accommodating when I explained we had tickets for a show the manager made sure our food came quickly, and the food was great.
